Brett Favre to Go Dancing With the Stars?

Jenn Sterger and NFL fans everywhere have seen as much of Brett Favre as they can stomach, but the man has many fans and know how to spark debate. That’s why one fellow Dancing With the Stars alum and NFL MVP would love to see him follow in his footsteps and shake his booty on the hit show this year. Preferably without sexting pics of his junk during rehearsal. “Let me think on what old retired NFL guy should join the show,” Kurt Warner told PopEater . “Brett Favre. That’s a good idea. Controversy is good for ratings.” Kurt, who made it within one episode of the finals in his appearance, previously criticized Favre for the off-field sexting shenanigans that dented his legacy. “I do think [that] hurt his legacy to some degree,” he said. “I do think people look at him differently now – at least in the short term – than five years ago.” A turn on DWTS could help restore his image … but he’d have to be given a chance first, which a show source says has no chance in hell of happening. “No way would [ DWTS ] want any part of Brett,” the source said. “They love having colorful people but you have to remember this is a family show and not the right fit for someone accused of e-mailing private photos of himself to young ladies.” Sums it up well. Jenn Sterger might work, though. Wowza.

Lawyer for Steve Harvey Responds to Ex-Wife’s "False, Misleading, Malicious, Slanderous" Statements

He turned my son against me, had me evicted from our house. I woke up, and everything was gone. This is just one of a countless number of statements Mary Harvey made this week about her ex-husband, Steve Harvey. In an unprecedented, sort of hilarious move, she recorded three videos on YouTube, all of which accuse the best-selling author of dastardly deeds such as infidelity and… more infidelity. Mary Harvey Blasts Ex Representing the actor, attorney Bobbie Edmonds has now released a statement that refers to Mary’s diatribe as containing “false, misleading, derogatory, disparaging, malicious, explicit and slanderous information about Mr. Harvey, his current wife and others.” She adds: “The ex-wife is fully aware of the court’s current orders and permanent injunctions which prohibit either party, their lawyers or representatives from discussing and releasing information on the Internet and to the media. We are taking the necessary legal steps to rectify this matter to the full extent of the law and we will be seeking contempt and sanctions against her for such reprehensible and callous disregard for the court orders.” Mary says that Stev is suing her because he believes her allegations prevented him from landing a show on Oprah Winfrey’s new cable network. Without addressing this issue, Edmonds concludes: “We are saddened that the ex-wife has resorted to such devious and selfish behavior, with a reckless disregard for their minor son [Broderick, 13], her adult son and Mr. Harvey’s other children.”

Spencer Pratt Rap Song: First, Hilarious Listen!

You know if Spencer Pratt doesn’t want something released that will get him publicity, it must be beyond bad. His rap song, “Ain’t No Thang,” certainly qualifies. Details are fuzzy, but the rumor is that Spencer recorded it at an L.A. studio last year, but was so embarrassed he never wanted it to see the light of day. Luckily for us, he did not get his wish as it leaked this morning. “Ain’t No Thang” is an ode to chicken wings (we guess) and other nonsense that must be heard to be believed. Have a tissue handy, you may cry laughing … Spencer Pratt – Ain’t No Thang It’s official. Spencer is officially worse at rapping than Heidi Montag is at improving her appearance. Both just keep setting the bar lower and lower.

The Psychological Underpinnings of Bieber Fever

You’re interested. Don’t lie . Why do 12-year-old girls like Justin Bieber? Today, research suggests that girls are developing faster than ever before. They reach preadolescence faster than their male counterparts. Yet they’re expected to act, think, and behave like a small child. It will be a few years before the boys catch up with them physically and emotionally. Thus, they need an outlet. Girls at this age are already thinking about what their ideal bodies might look like and processing their heightened fears and concerns about succeeding socially. They’re also striving to be liked by others. It’s more important than ever. “In adolescence, the extent to which you perceive you are liked by others is related to subsequent feelings about yourself more so than at any other time in development,” adolescent researcher Mitch Prinstein says at Psychology Today. Therefore, younger girls get a crush on Justin Bieber because it’s a safe route to explore the feelings and thoughts that they don’t know what to do with yet. This, he argues, is why the music industry is, in part, most strongly dominated by the whims of preadolescent girls. Bieber equals profits. “[The music industry] is an 12 year old girl’s world, and we all just live in it,” Prinstein argues further. It’s the same reason why they like Twilight too. And why it’s sold to them. “Enter the [Justin Beiber]. Or any other male prototype of a young, not sexually threatening, highly popular object of affection. This icon can serve many important psychological functions for the tween girl. She may develop romantic feelings directed toward him, but because he has the image of purity and gentleness, she does not need to imagine the pressure of assertive sexual advances she is not ready for. He sings about unconditional love and acceptance, devotion, and romance. To the insecure tween girl who frets about her appearance, this is music to her ears. And as one of the most popular people on the planet, his acceptance translates to the highest sense of her own self worth.” ( Read on .) Article first published by hypebot

Cam’ron Reveals Why He Took Shots At Kanye West

‘We good now,’ the Diplomats MC tells ‘RapFix Live’ of patching things up with Yeezy. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway Cam’ron Photo: MTV News Not long after the Diplomats reunited and started working together again last year, it seemed like Cam’ron and Jim Jones were up to their old tricks again as they released a freestyle over Kanye West’s “Runway” production. In an online clip of the rowdy pair in the studio, Cam’ron takes a couple of shots at ‘Ye before he lays his verse. A couple of months later, though, in a puzzling move, West recruited Cam and Capo for his “Christmas in Harlem” track. According to Cam, however, there had only been a minor disagreement between the two in the first place. And that rift has since been patched up. “The reason I took a shot at Kanye, he needed something done for his album [a couple of years ago, and] when he needed it, I sent it back to him in about an hour,” Cam told MTV News during his appearance with Dipset on “RapFix Live” on Thursday. The Harlem MC was referring to the song “Gone” from West’s 2007 LP, Late Registration. “I needed something for my record and he was in Honolulu; he has to do this, he has to do that,” Cam recalled. “And I’m one of those people, I do a favor for a favor. When you need it, I got it back to you. When I needed something, you couldn’t get back to me?” Eventually matters were settled with help from Don C., a Yeezy insider who has a longstanding relationship with Cam’ron. Now, with their differences mended, the Diplomats frontman suggested they could work together again soon — possibly for the Harlem collective’s reunion project . “We good now,” Cam said.
