iPad Tablets Sold More Than 300K Units Across U.S.

cnet With Apple’s huge successs in its product launching of the most hyped gadget iPad has sold more than 300,000 tablets Saturday debut accross United States. Sales statistics includes pre-orders, a new type of touch-screen device that blends features of the iPhone, electronic book readers and tablet computers. Prices start at $499 for iPads that connect to the world wide web through wireless fidelity or much known as Wi-Fi. Apple will sell more expensive iPads with cellular data connections later this month. Apple says that iPad owners downloaded over a million applications from its app store and more than 250,000 electronic books on Saturday. Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs says the iPad is going to be a game changer. Its shares are down 17 cents to $235.80 in premarket trading. People go crazy last Saturday because of the most anticipated arrival of the newest innovation in wireless technology. Some people even spent the whole night outside the stores, some woke up very early and some even had a pre-iPad vigil, that’s a lot of excitement. After the arrival of the Apple iPad in different stores last Saturday, an estimate of 600,000 to 700,000 units of the gadget has been sold in day one. While people are going loco on their newly bought electronic tablet, some people are brave enough to dissect one and tell what’s inside the iPad and how powerful it is. IFixit just did a tear down of the gadget and even has a step-by-step procedure on how to dissect it.
