NFL star Adrian Peterson shoved an off-duty police officer in a Houston bar early Saturday morning, leading to his arrest , the Houston P.D. says. An off-duty officer was working security for the nightclub Live! at Bayou Place when closing time came and he told patrons it was time to leave. The officer had to tell Peterson a second time he had to leave and the Vikings running back shot back, “Hey man, we heard you the first time!” He then pushed the officer in the back of his shoulder, causing him to stumble. The officer then told Peterson to turn around and put his arms behind his back because he was under arrest and Peterson began yelling at him. The officer repeated himself and Peterson turned around to face the officer and got in “an aggressive stance,” ignoring more verbal warnings. A second and third officer then rushed over, according to the police, and they were finally able to arrest the all-star athlete and take him to jail. He was booked on the charge of resisting arrest. Adrian Peterson was heavily intoxicated at the time of his arrest, which was very out of character for him, according to the nightclub owner. Florida Police Officer Arrested For Lewd Acts On 15-Year-Old Girl What the fawk is wrong with people these days???? One by one, the 15-year-old girl went through headshots of suspects. Among them, she knew, was the man dressed as a police officer who she said ordered her to take off her pants and unbutton her blouse, and then spread her legs as he used a flashlight to inspect her. The man she identified: Miramar police Capt. Juan De Los Rios, 46. On Friday, De Los Rios was charged with two counts of lewd or lascivious conduct on an underage girl, according to the arrest affidavit. He was booked into Broward County Jail and held on $30,000 bail. If convicted, De Los Rios could face up to 15 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. According to the arrest affidavit, the girl was sitting in the back of a car with a 19-year-old friend parked in the back lot of a business plaza in Miramar after school on Jan. 18, when a man approached the car and looked at them through the window. He asked them to roll down the window. Because he was in a dark-blue uniform and wearing a gold badge, the teens thought he was a police officer and complied. The man then began to question them. At one point, he leaned against the window, looked at them, gave a hard long pause and asked: “Well, were you having sex? What are you doing here?” The girl quickly responded “no, no, no, officer no,” the affidavit said. The girl told police she and her friend were just talking. But the man told the girl he “needed to check.” The girl asked “Check what?” “I need to see inside,” he responded. That’s when he ordered her to take off her pants and underwear so he could look for bruising or other evidence of sexual activity. In fear, the affidavit said, she complied. The girl told police she thought it “was the right thing to do” because he was an officer. Her 19-year-friend turned away, unable to watch, according to the affidavit. He told police he heard the man tell the girl “I need you to spread your legs wider so I can see.” The officer then used a flashlight to “inspect” her and told her to pull down her blouse so he could check for bruising, according to the police report. Then he returned the driver’s license to the boy and told them “Go home.” The teens got into the front seats of the car, “cried, hugged and drove off,” the affidavit said. The youngsters didn’t tell anybody at first because they were afraid and intimidated. But then the girl told her older sister, who insisted their mother be told. When questioned by police, the girl said the man who’d ordered her to remove her clothing had a gold badge and his last name began with the letter “R.’’ She also said she knew she could identify the man if she saw him again. Officials did not release the identities of the teens. As far as evidence, investigators had the girl turn in the clothes she was wearing that day — one pair of blue jean pants, a Ralph Lauren sport sized T-shirt, a beige bra, and one pair of pink and black underwear briefs. They also asked the CVS Caremark near where the teens had parked for its surveillance video. Although the quality of the video was not enough to identify De Los Rios, police say the body language was consistent with the victim’s and witness’ statements. De Los Rios’ gold badge was also paper bagged. The 18-year veteran of the department has been on administrative leave since the complaint was filed in January. Miramar police launched a criminal investigation along with the Broward State Attorney’s Office. A warrant for De Los Rios’ arrest was issued Friday. He later turned himself in to police. “He is now suspended without pay, pending the outcome of the investigation,” said Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues. Wow. Swamp People star Trapper Joe (real name Joseph LaFont) has been arrested for domestic violence in California, according to reports. The reality star got popped early Wednesday morning in Orange County for domestic battery. The specific details surrounding the arrest are not clear, however. Joe is currently being held on $1,500 bond , TMZ reports. Both Joe and his stepson Tommy Chauvin narrowly escaped death in a big five-car pile-up near the Arkansas-Louisiana state line back in April. His Swamp People co-star Mitchell Guist died in May.
Just when you thought the bar could never be lowered for idiocy, Patricia Krentcil allegedly went and put her 5-year-old daughter in a tanning booth. The 44-year-old from New Jersey (there’s a shocker) told NBC’s local New York affiliate that she took her daughter with her to a local tanning salon. Krentcil, who puts Snooki to shame with her “tan” complexion, maintains that her kid was actually not exposed to any of the booth’s synthetic UV rays. She was released on $25,000 bond and is due back in court today. “It’s nothing different than taking your daughter to go food shopping,” Krentcil said, incredulously. “There’s tons of moms that bring their children in.” Police, though, say Krentcil put her daughter in an upright tanning booth. New Jersey state law prohibits children under the age of 14 from tanning booths, while children between the ages of 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult. Police were alerted by school officials, who said that at school, the girl had what looked like a sunburn, but told friends she “went tanning with Mommy.” Rich Krentcil, the girl’s father, said it was in fact a sunburn. “This whole big thing happened, and everyone got involved,” he said. “It was 85 degrees outside, she got sunburned. Actress’ dad tells People his daughter wasn’t drunk, while TMZ reports that Bynes returned to the bar after her arrest. She didn’t have a single drink that night. My daughter doesn’t drink.” Poppa Bynes went on to say that the police officer who arrested his daughter was at fault because he pulled out in front of her as she was turning. He blamed the actress’ seemingly intoxicated behavior on her being “upset and very emotional” in getting arrested. According to TMZ , Bynes’ emotional state wasn’t so compromised that she couldn’t resume partying that same night. The site claims the actress and a few of her friends attempted to return to the bar at the Standard Hotel in Hollywood just hours after her arrest but were denied re-entrance by hotel staff. Bynes was given a citation and released from police custody on $5,000 bail. She will have to report to court when a hearing date is set. A few months before the release of “Easy A” in 2010, Bynes declared on Twitter that she didn’t enjoy performing anymore and planned to retire from acting. Her retirement lasted all of 35 days, as she tweeted in late July of 2010 that she was “unretired.” Amanda’s dad cited his daughter’s break from acting as the reason the tabloids go after her. “She is a good girl,” Rick Bynes told People. “She just chooses not to work, and because of that, people go after her.”
