A paramedic has been arrested in connection with allegations he raped a 22-year-old woman while she lay strapped to a stretcher in the back of an ambulance. Hamden police said Mark Powell, 49, of North Haven sexually assaulted the Hamden woman on Dec. 25 at 3 a.m. while she was being transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital after suffering a fall at a holiday party. Police said the woman awoke in the ambulance to find Powell raping her. She told police she could not move because she was strapped to a stretcher. The woman contacted police after being discharged from the hospital, police said. “She awoke in the rear of the ambulance to find she was being sexually assaulted by the AMR employee at a time she couldn’t speak or move due to fact she was strapped to a stretcher,” said Hamden Police Capt.. Ronald Smith. Detectives said the first-degree sexual assault lasted 5 to 7 seconds, but they can’t discuss evidence. On Thursday, police charged Powell with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint. He was released on a $25,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on Jan. 19. Powell, who was a paid paramedic with AMR in New Haven, has been put on administrative leave. Eff a “administrative leave,” this guy needs to be fired and locked up…even if the assault only lasted “5 to 7 seconds.” Source

According to TMZ , after being pulled over last month for erratic driving on suspicion of DUI, she was arrested but… While cops searched her vehicle, they claim Judi climbed out of the squad car window, still in handcuffs, and took off running until they found her hiding in a nearby home and brought her to the police station. She was charged for DUI, resisting arrest and theft (for “stealing” the handcuffs), but she never showed up for her court date on Monday, and is now wanted with a bench warrant having been issued. The troubled Atlanta rapper (born Radric Davis) got some bad news today (October 28) when he learned that a DeKalb County judge ruled against his sentence reduction request, and he’s also been hit with a civil suit. As we previously reported, Gucci was sentenced to six months in September after pleading guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct. Those charges stem from in incident outside South DeKalb Mall in January where Gucci allegedly pushed a woman he had just picked up out of his moving vehicle. Billy Lyle “BJ” Wallace Jr., 40, and Amber Sheree McKenzie, 29, were being held in Baldwin County Corrections Center as of Wednesday, both charged with first-degree manufacturing of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wallace, a Monroeville native, pitched for the U.S. team in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain, and the Montreal Expos picked him third in that year’s amateur draft, signing the left-hander for $550,000, according to baseball-reference.com and Press-Register archives.
