Epitome Of A Bad Mother: California Mother Microwaves Her Newborn To Death

Just what in thee hell was on this woman’s mind, torturing her newborn baby like that?! A California mom was arrested Tuesday on charges that she murdered her 6-week-old daughter by microwaving her to death. Ka Yang, 29, of Sacramento, is being held without bail The baby, Mirabelle Thao-Lo, was found dead in her home with “extensive thermal injuries” on March 17. “She had some really deep tissue burns,” Sacramento County coroner’s office told the Sacramento Bee. “…It was probably the worst case I’ve ever seen.” Yang initially claimed her daughter’s death was caused by a seizure. The arrest took three months because investigators had to pinpoint what they believed was the cause of death by looking at similar cases, including ones in Ohio, Texas and Virginia. Yang’s three young boys, who are all under the age of 7, have since been removed from the home by child welfare workers. Officer Laura Peck said Yang’s motive it unknown. No lawyer was listed for the mom. “We wouldn’t assess her mental condition,” said Peck. “That will be up to the court system. The bottom line is no one knows what happened in that house but her and the little baby.” SMH. This is sick on so many levels … what mother could do this to her own child? She’s gonna get it in prison. R.I.P., Mirabelle.

Jesus Take The Wheel: Brooklyn Teen Beaten To Death By 10 Gang Members

Enough is enough with this foolishness. A Brooklyn teen died from his injuries last night nearly two weeks after he was chased down by a mob of 10 young men who punched, stomped and bashed him with a bicycle, police said. Johnny Santiago, 17, was beaten on an East New York streetcorner in what police sources described as a gang feud. The June 6 attack left him brain dead. He passed away at Brookdale University Hospital yesterday, police said. Santiago lived in East New York. He had gang ties and a short rap sheet of collars for serious crimes – robbery and weapons possession, the sources said. His family could not be reached Friday night. Police got a 911 call about 10:30 p.m. on June 6 for an assault in progress near the corner of Van Siclen and Wortman Aves. It is an area notorious for gang activity, the sources said. Detectives are investigating Santiago’s death, but the motive for the vicious gang beatdown was not revealed last night. The cause of Santiago’s death has yet to be determined. There have been no arrests. How does the police department know that this young man was beaten by 10 men, specifically, but have made no arrests? Either way another life has been lost to nonsense. SMH … R.I.P. Source

You Can’t Be Serious: Mother Gets Felony Charge For Spanking Her Own Child

Damn! What has the world come to? A felony … for spanking your child? Everyone has their own method of disciplining their children but is a simple spanking abuse? “You don’t spank children today,” said Judge Jose Longoria. “In the old days, maybe we got spanked, but there was a different quarrel. You don’t spank children.” Rosalina Gonzales had pleaded guilty to a felony charge of injury to a child for what prosecutors had described as a “pretty simple, straightforward spanking case.” They noted she didn’t use a belt or leave any bruises, just some red marks. As part of the plea deal, Gonzales will serve five years probation, during which time she’ll have to take parenting classes, follow CPS guidelines, and make a $50 payment to the Children’s Advocacy Center. She was arrested back in December after the child’s paternal grandmother noticed red marks on the child’s rear end. The grandmother took the girl, who was two years-old at the time, to the hospital to be checked out. Gonzales who doesn’t have custody of the child or her other two children, is trying to get them back, but until CPS feels she is ready the kids are living with their paternal grandmother. Hmm, wonder if the kids were taken as a result of the “spanking.” Guess it’s “time-out” for unruly little tikes now. Source

Kush Chronic-les: Hungry Stoner Arrested For Puffin’ Piff In The Drive Through At McDonalds

Even for a stoner this is pretty damn dumb… An Elgin man who got a case of the munchies was arrested Monday after an officer witnessed him smoking marijuana in the drive-through lane of McDonald’s, according to police. The officer was in the drive-through lane of the restaurant at 401 Summit St., Elgin, about 12:30 a.m. Monday when he smelled marijuana in the air, according to police spokeswoman Sue Olafson. Upon investigation, the officer determined the passenger of the car in front of him was smoking the illegal substance. Police say they found additional cannabis in a container in the vehicle. In total, 1.4 grams was confiscated, Olafson said. Jose Barrera, 21, of the 600 block of St. Charles Street, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance. The Epitome Of A Bad Mother

Why the hell are people bringing their babies to the crime scenes these days???? A 14-month-old girl was thrown from a speeding getaway car late Thursday night after the suspects were caught shoplifting at KMart, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Just after 9:00 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to the KMart at 7325 Two Notch Road for a shoplifting call. “We know that three people went into the KMart with a child in the vehicle. We know that as they arrived at the KMart that they were there to shoplift,” said Captain Chris Cowan. When deputies arrived, KMart security had 21-year-old Courtney NaShawn Palmer in custody. Security officers told deputies that Palmer and another woman got into a scuffle with officers after being confronted and accused of stealing from the store. Deputies say a third woman, 22-year-old Kimberly Moody, was parked in the lot waiting in the getaway car when she noticed what was going on in the store, according to the sheriff’s department. After seeing what was happening, Moody decided to leave the premises in a hurry, according to deputies. ” She hit the accelerate,” said Captain Cowan. “She accelerated to a high rate of speed, sending a 1-year-old out of the back of the vehicle into the parking lot, causing serious injury.” The child was not restrained and the door was not secure, according to investigators. “Once she realizes the child’s been thrown out of the vehicle, she stops,” said Captain Cowan. “She and the other individual come running out of the KMart, picked the child up, put the child in the car, and then take the child to the hospital.” Deputy Curtis Wilson says the child has broken ribs, a collapsed lung and multiple abrasions and is currently in ICU at the hospital. Moody was charged Friday with unlawful conduct towards a child. Her bond hearing was held Friday night. Officers said she has since posted bail. Palmer was arrested Thursday night and charged with shoplifting. Palmer was arrested Thursday night and charged with shoplifting. Investigators say she tried to steal two bottles of body spray, a bottle of body wash, a stick of deodorant, a pair of earrings, and a pack of tissue totaling $29.61. A judge granted Palmer a $2,130 personal recognizance bond Friday morning. She also posted bail. A third arrest came Friday night, according to deputies. 20-year-old Courtney Nicole-Francetta Mace was charged with two counts of assault and battery as well as one count of unlawful conduct toward a child. Deputies said Mace is the mother of the child that was thrown from the vehicle Thursday. The mother of the injured baby, according to the deputies, was involved in the scuffle with the security officer. “We’ll continue to investigate,” said Captain Cowan. “We need to process witness statements. We need to continue to interview people, process surveillance footage, and once we do that, then we’ll make a determination whether somebody else will be charged and what those charges will be.” Truly sad…all this because they were trying to gank KMart for some deodorant and body spray. SMH. We hope that baby has a speedy recovery. Source

Jesus Take The Wheel: D.C. Police Officer Charged For the Murder Of His Daughter and Her Mother Over Child Support

Jesus … the wheel. A District of Columbia police officer has been charged in the death of a woman whose body was found along with that of her 1-year-old daughter in Prince George’s County. Police say Richmond Phillips was arrested Friday and charged with one count of first-degree murder. He is being held without bond. Police on Thursday night found the bodies of 20-year-old Wynetta Wright and Jaylin Wright in the area of Oxon Run Stream Valley Park. Police say Wright had obvious trauma to her body and her daughter may have died as a result of heat exposure. D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier called the crime horrific and said domestic violence can affect the most innocent victims. Wynetta Wright’s mother knew immediately that something terrible had happened when her daughter never came home Monday night. Wright left her home in Baltimore and brought along her 1-year-old daughter Jaylin, who was at the center of a child support dispute with the baby’s father Richmond Phillips. “He called her Monday night at 10:00 p.m. or 10:30 p.m. and asked her to meet him at the park. He has not called her in a year. Why she went to meet him I don’t know,” said Wyvette Wright, the missing woman’s mother. The bodies were found late Thursday night, minutes from Phillips home. Temperatures Tuesday and Wednesday reached into the upper 90s. “I get a call two bodies in the woods. This is the last place she was seen with her baby’s daddy,” Wyvette Wright said. The source says Wright and Phillips recently had a paternity tests scheduled for Tuesday, the day after she and the child went missing. Court records show they were due in court on Tuesday for a child support hearing. Damn, was this the only way out he saw? To murder a child and the woman with whom he had an extramarital affair? People are seriously losing value for life. Sadness. Source
