Manhattan Man Murders Father Over Lowered Allowance A spoiled NYC heir has murdered his father inside his parents’ Manhattan home…all in anger over his weekly allowance being lowered to $300.00. Via NYDN : A wealthy hedge-fund chief was gunned down by his adult son after he threatened to cut his allowance by a $100 a week and stop paying his steep rent, cops said Monday. Spoiled manchild Thomas Gilbert Jr., 30, flew into a murderous rage when he confronted his fed-up dad, Thomas Gilbert Sr., 70, over the downsizing of financial support, police said. “He was on a stipend from the family. Looks like he was in debt,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Robert Boyce said of the accused killer. The freeloading son, a Princeton grad, shot his father once in the head with a .40-caliber Glock 22 handgun Sunday afternoon inside is parents’ multimillion-dollar Beekman Place apartment, police said. He then callously staged the murder scene to appear as if it was a suicide, placing the gun on his father’s chest and putting the dead man’s left hand over it, Boyce said. Gilberts parents recently told him they were cutting his $400 a week allowance by $100, a police source said. His parents also informed him they would no longer pay the rent on his apartment in a Chelsea building, where rents average $3,100 a month, the source said. As it turns out, this may not have been the first murderous tantrum the “spoiled manchild” threw in recent months. As news of the murder broke, neighbors began to suspect that Gilbert was responsible for a mysterious fire in the Hamptons a few months back. Via MailOnline : Last September 18, Gilbert was arrested for violating an order of protection three days after a Hamptons family home burned to the ground in a case of suspect arson. Multiple acquaintances of Gilbert Jr, repeated the rumor they had heard that the Princeton grad and Deerfield alumnus was a focus of suspicion when the house burned down. However, police have never identified Gilbert Jr. as a suspect nor has he been charged in the fire. In the early hours of September 15 this year, a blaze destroyed the beautiful Hamptons home owned by retired investment banker Peter L. Smith. According to sources, Peter Smith reportedly filed a restraining order against Gilbert Jr. this summer after an incident near his Williamsburg, Brooklyn home. SMH! So every time someone pisses this rich brat off, he has to burn some isht down or shoot somebody up?! Uhhhhhhhhhh … Via KKTV A married couple allegedly took on the role of “Grinch” this Christmas season and stole Christmas displays from dozens of Colorado Springs families. Jeremy Lewallen, 18, and his 42-year-old wife Carrie Carley were arrested Dec. 19. Police say they used the displays they swiped to decorate their own yard. According to the arrest affidavit obtained by 11 News, a neighbor who had his decorations stolen was driving around his neighborhood when he spotted a very familiar looking Christmas display in the suspects’ front yard. Police served a search warrant there and allegedly found, in the words of one of the theft victims, “a decoration graveyard.” Officers said that both the front and back yards of the home were filled with stolen lawn ornaments and Christmas decorations. The arrest papers say that the couple admitted to stealing about $2,000 worth of decorations. The papers then go on to say that when police asked Lewallen about stealing from families, he “chuckled” and said he didn’t care about who he affected when he stole from others. The man accused of stealing Christmas from others is still behind bars as of Christmas morning. His wife, however, has bonded out and spoke to 11 News Christmas Eve night. She maintains that her husband acted alone. “Every morning he’d go out for a walk, at like 2 or 3, and then there was just more stuff in the yard,” Carley said. “I didn’t know exactly where it all came from.” They GOTTA be cousins, right? “He…I guess he still thinks it’s a game. He doesn’t seem to care really one way or another. … I asked him, and he was like, ‘Well, this is my job.’ And I’m like, ‘Taking from unassuming people is your job?’” When asked if her husband knew he allegedly hurt a lot of people, Carley said he didn’t care. “It doesn’t seem to affect him,” she said. According to Carley, Lewallen also spent time in jail in November for stealing Halloween decorations. 11 News reporter Dustin Cuzick asked her why, then, seeing Christmas decorations pop up in her yard wouldn’t have raised suspicion. “I just didn’t know what to do, you know, I didn’t know if I called if I was going to get in trouble myself or not, you know, because it was in my yard.” The couple faces felony theft charges, which Carley said she is going to fight. Two Boys Charged With Raping Texas Girl And Posting Pictures Via The Grio reports: Two suspects have been charged in the brutal gang rape of a teenage Texas girl, known as Jada, who discovered the attack on social media under the offensive #JadaPose tag, according to Click2Houston news site. Prosecutors allege that the suspects, Clinton Onyeahialam, 19, and a 16-year-old juvenile co-defendant, sexually assaulted the teen in July in Houston, Texas, the report says, citing court documents filed earlier this month. The younger teen was charged as a juvenile. Jada, 16, a high school junior, said the incident occurred after she drank some spiked punch given to her by the teenage male host of a house party she attended with friends, the report says. She reportedly passed out and does not recall what happened, but she learned of the assault after other teens posted evidence that mocked the tragedy. Some teens even posted images of themselves on the ground with their arms splayed, including one with a leg bent awkwardly at the knee under the #JadaPose hashtag, reports say. In response to the abuse, the teen emerged with her own hashtag, #IAmJada, which went viral. She said she came forward in an effort to seek justice. “I would like to see justice,” she told MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow this week. “Justice in full effect and that’s it.” Lock these monsters up!

Bobby Shmurda Indicted As Suspected Narcotics Gang Leader Bobby Shmurda was taken into police custody yesterday on then-unspecified drug charges, spawning hilarious memes at his expens e. But now that the NYPD has released the details on his indictment, the matter may have just gotten very serious. Unfortunately, the Brooklyn rapper has spelled out some of the exact charges the NYPD is bringing against him — though he is still pleading not guilty. Via TMZ : Rapper Bobby Shmurda was a “driving force” in a gang that committed murders and other violent crimes … this according to NY prosecutors. Prosecutors from the NYC Special Narcotics Office just released their indictment, claiming more than 15 defendants committed a variety of crimes, including murder, attempted murder, assault and drug dealing. Bobby himself was charged with conspiracy to commit murder but not the murder itself and a few other weapon and drug charges. Bobby — who at one time called himself “Two Socks Bobby” — is charged with firing a gun at a group of people outside a barber shop. Prosecutors say “socks” is code for firearms. According to the indictment, members of the gang used other code words, including “suntan,” which means shooting someone. The complaint says Bobby confessed to a fellow gang member, “You know I suntan him and shot, do issues, you know what’s going on.” Prosecutors also say the ring dealt heavily in narcotics, with a pattern of violence that spread from Brooklyn to South Beach, Florida. The D.A. says the violence was so prevalent, it turned Brooklyn into a shooting gallery. Bobby pled not guilty to all charges Thursday in NYC. He’s being held on $2 million bail. Wow.
