New Facts We’ve Learned Since George Zimmerman’s Trial Began Day three of the murder trial of self-proclaimed neighborhood watchdog George Zimmerman , who fatally gunned down unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in February of 2012 has just come to a close. While there was a very limited amount of seemingly recycled information available about the details of the fatal shooting before the trial began, there is now plenty of information that the public is hearing for the first or second time. A combination of witness testimony , including that of Trayvon’s friend Rachel who was on the phone with him as the altercation with Zimmerman began, along with statements presented from attorneys on both sides have revealed a slew of new facts from the case. Man Sentenced To 40 Years For Getting Freaky With Minors According to Raw Story An Indiana man named Richard Finkbiner was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Wednesday for coercing more than 13 minors, mostly teen boys, from across the country into stripping and performing lewd acts for web cameras. According to the Associated Press, 39-year-old Finkbiner used a false online identity to gain the teenagers’ trust, then threatened them with exposure if they did not do his bidding. “The sheer number of individuals Finkbiner exploited and extorted justifies a sentence Finkbiner is almost certain not to outlive,” said prosecutors June 18 in court documents from Terre Haute, Indiana U.S. District Court. The estimated number of victims is believed to be higher than 150, but only around a dozen were positively identified by prosecutors. Finkbiner targeting teens between 12 and 17 years of age, entering chat rooms on Omegle.com, a website that connects users randomly in one-on-one chats. Finkbiner fooled other users by using an avatar depicting someone other than himself engaged in a sex act. He would gain the teens’ trust and convince them to disrobe and take pictures with the cameras on their computers. The Brazil, Indiana resident would then threaten to send those photos to the teenagers’ parents and friends if they didn’t comply with his demands for even more risque and potentially humiliating photos. Linkliner called his victims “cam slaves.” He accumulated more than 22,000 separate video files of his “slaves” over the course of multiple years. He has been sentenced to 40 years behind bars and fined $700,000. The Indianapolis Star reported that Finkbiner was arrested in April of 2012 on “11 counts of sexual exploitation of children, two counts of extortion and one count of possession of child freaky flicks.” Court records cited the case of a 12-year-old boy who refused to do more explicit videos, but pleaded with Finkbiner not to post the videos he had already done online. Finkbiner posted them anyway. In January, Finkbiner agreed to plead guilty to child exploitation, extortion and possession of child freaky flicks in exchange for a recommended sentence of 30 to 50 years in prison. On the judge’s orders, as with most cases involving sex offenders, Finkbiner will be supervised by federal officials even after his eventual release in the 2050s, if he should live that long. Forty years isn’t enough. The bastard should have got life in prison so he can have his anus busted down to the white meat.

That guy may have deserved that azz whooping … Scottie Pippen Harassed By Fan Before Fight Via NY Daily News reports: Retired hoopster Scottie Pippen was playing defense Monday after an encounter over the weekend with an autograph-seeker outside a Malibu, Calif. hot spot. The former Chicago Bulls standout visited a sheriff’s station voluntarily after he was named as a suspect in a Sunday evening altercation at Nobu, a trendy beachside eatery. Investigators said a violent argument broke out after an autograph-seeker took photos of Pippen, 47, and his family. The unidentified man was later taken to a hospital with a head injury, investigators said. But a source said Pippen was the real victim. The fan started the tussle, spit on the ex-athlete and screamed the called him the N-word, the source said, adding that Pippen was holding his 4-year-old daughter at the time. “Can you imagine, you’re out to dinner with your wife, your four kids and your mother-in-law, and someone calls you the N-word and starts to get physical?” the source said, calling the alleged victim’s story a “crock.” “When Scottie left, this guy had no injuries,” said the source. “Scottie is very upset about the way this has been portrayed.” Several witnesses described the fan as intoxicated, sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said. Investigators were still interviewing witnesses Monday and had not yet decided whether to charge Pippen with assault with intent to cause bodily harm. He was released after an hour of questioning. Pippen’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, was mulling a counter claim against the autograph-seeker for assault and making a false police report, the source said. Fat Joe Sentenced To Four Months In Prison For Tax Evasion Via SFGate reports: Rapper “Fat Joe” has been sentenced to four months in prison after admitting he failed to file federal income taxes. The platinum-selling artist, whose real name is Joseph Cartagena (car-ta-GEE’-nah), apologized to his family and supporters before being sentenced Monday in federal court in Newark. He pleaded guilty in December 2012 to failing to pay taxes on more than $1 million of income in 2007 and in 2008. U.S. Magistrate Cathy Waldor said she took into consideration the government’s allegation that Cartagena failed to taxes on some $3 million in income for years 2007 through 2010, an estimated tax loss to the government of $718,038. The Miami Beach resident was prosecuted in New Jersey because some of the companies he earns money from are incorporated in Somerville. Man Dies After Swallowing Drugs According to The NY Post A man died while in police custody last night when he choked on a golf ball-sized bag of drugs after struggling with cops in the Bronx, authorities said. Bronx narcotics cops allegedly saw Jose Muniz, 52, make a hand-to-hand drug deal in front a Norwood bodega on Jerome Avenue at around 10:50 p.m. before officers tried to arrest him, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters today at a press conference in Harlem. When Muniz saw plainclothes cops approaching, he allegedly tried to hide the drugs. “We believe that the individual took a golf ball-sized package of drugs, and put it into his mouth,” Kelly said. The cops grabbed Muniz and pepper sprayed him during a struggle before he was on the ground and cuffed, Kelly said. That’s when officers noticed that Muniz had stopped breathing. “He choked on that bag and CPR was given to him at the scene and en route to the hospital,” he continued. Muniz died a short time later at Bronx North Central Hospital, authorities said. Kelly said that the Internal Affairs Bureau would continue to investigate the incident. Cops said Muniz had been arrested over 30 times including for narcotics possession, burglary and possession of a firearm, among other crimes. We don’t feel bad for this dumbazz. Brother Kills Sister With Wrestling Moves According to Mail Online A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly using wrestling moves he had seen on television on his five-year-old half sister, who died from the brutal beating. Viloude Louis suffered broken ribs, internal bleeding and a lacerated liver after Devalon Armstrong repeatedly slammed her on a bed, punched her in the stomach, jumped on her and struck her with his elbow several times, police said. Deputies say they received a 911 call from the home in Terrytown, Louisiana on Sunday afternoon saying the girl had been found unconscious on the bathroom floor. Paramedics found the girl unresponsive and she was pronounced dead a short time later. Armstrong was arrested on Tuesday after a coroner investigation found the girl died of multiple injuries, two days after the death, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s spokesman Col. John Fortunato said. Detectives initially spoke with the girl’s mother, Adlourdes Desvallons, 39, and found out that the teenager had been babysitting while she went to the store, Fortunato told The Times-Picayune. Devalon told investigators the girl had a stomach ache and went upstairs to brush her teeth, and 30 minutes later he found her on the floor complaining her stomach still hurt, Fortunato said. The teenager claimed he took the girl downstairs to the sofa and called 911 when he saw she was no longer breathing. Dispatchers told him to start CPR and paramedics arrived on the scene. The coroner’s office said there did not appear to be any outward signs of injury and her death was left as unclassified, but on Monday, Devalon told detectives he had been practicing World Wrestling Entertainment-style moves on the girl, The Times-Picayune reported. He said that even when his little half sister said she was in pain, he continued to carry out the moves on her. Detectives added that he appeared to be enjoying talking about the assault. The Sheriff’s office has now classified her death as a homicide and Devalon was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and is being held at a juvenile detention center. Poor baby must have been scared out of her mind. God rest her soul.

Correction Officers Arrested For Dealing Drugs To Inmates According to The NY Post Two city correction officers were charged today with dealing pot to inmates on Rikers Island. Austin Romain and Khalif Phillips, both 31, were busted while on the job after getting ratted out by jailhouse snitches who were their alleged customers. Both guards operated independently of each other but used similar methods to sell marijuana and other contraband — including scalpels and tobacco — to prisoners inside maximum-security facilities at the jail complex, according to the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office. Both men arranged to get paid by the jailbirds’ wives and girlfriends — usually via Western Union money transfers — then smuggled the drugs onto Rikers and hid them inside garbage pails, light fixtures and lockers, court papers said. The inmates would then retrieve the drugs from the drop spots, court papers said. Romain was accused of selling marijuana he purchased on his own for between $300 and $800 an ounce — depending on its quality — while Phillips was accused of charging $1,000 to pass along a package of pot provided to him. Their arrests capped a two-year probe into by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and the city Department of Investigation, with DOI Commissioner Rose Gill Hearn noting that they bring the number of Department of Corrections employees busted on contraband charges in the past decade to 30. Romain and Phillips were being held overnight pending court appearances today. If convicted, each faces up to 10 years in the slammer. Woman Arrested For Having Sex With 11-Year-Old Boy Under Her Care SMH at these pedophiles!!!! Via NY Daily News: A Florida woman allegedly had sex with the 11-year-old child she was hired to babysit. Megan Nicole Hayes, 21, was arrested Thursday on felony charges for the sexual battery of a child under the age of 12. The young woman is intellectually challenged and does not know right from wrong, her father told local media. He later informed the Orlando Sentinel that the family is not interested in addressing the media anymore. The Cocoa Police Department told station WKMG that Hayes confessed to the sexual abuse that occurred May 27 in the coastal city of Cocoa. Hayes, from the city of Rockledge, is being held without bond at the Brevard County Jail. She was arrested back in February on credit card fraud and petty theft charges, court records show.
