It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Hilary Swank on the big (or small) screen, but the Academy Award winner is back, and has taken her talents to Netflix. ‘I Am Mother’ is an intense thriller science fiction flick starring Ms. Swank, Clara Rugaard and Rose Byrne — who voices the character of Robot Mother. The movie tells the story of female robot in a bunker raising a teenager while giving the impression that the world above is not fit for human life. When a gunshot-wounded woman (played by Swank) arrives at the bunker door, she threatens that idea, calling into question everything the girl was told about the outside world. The girl then start to explore the robot’s nature and discovers the truth of Mother’s greater mission. We caught up with Hilary and Clara as they dished on all things digital, dark and deceptive. When asked about one thing they were taught as children that turned out to be a lie, Clara joked: “Well, the toothfairy! Santa Clause?” Hilary gave a more in depth response, adding: “I think both of our families are very liberal and open-minded, so they didn’t tell us…” Clara: “…Lies to make us unravel ourselves. But I think parents do things to protect their children.” Hilary: “I think both our parents are like ‘We’re all one people’, ‘Treat people how you want to be treated. Cheyenne Floyd has only been a member of the Teen Mom OG cast for one season. But her propensity for intense feuds and endless drama have helped her to fit right in with the rest of the Moms. A new season of TMOG premieres next week, and a recent preview clip that aired on MTV is already creating unrest on social media. In the trailer, Cheyenne can be heard briefly remarking on the relationship between her baby daddy, Cory Wharton, and his girlfriend Taylor Selfridge . Floyd’s commentary is limited to a half-second clip in which she tells Wharton that he can “do better.” But that’s all it took to ignite rumors of a new feud between Cheyenne and Taylor. Now, Selfridge is opening up about Floyd’s shade in a new interview with Radar Online. “Obviously it doesn’t feel good to hear that she said that about me,” Taylor tells the site. She adds that as much as she was displeased by Cheyenne’s remark, she’s ultimately not terribly bothered by it: “Cory is the only person that knows me in and out,” she says. “That’s fine if everyone else thinks he can do better,” Taylor remarks. “But it’s about what he thinks, not everyone else.” It sounds like Taylor has the right attitude — and it seems that she’s developed a thick skin during her time in the spotlight: “I’m used to people talking about me negatively so I don’t lose sleep over it anymore,” she says. Taylor adds that she wasn’t terribly taken aback by Cheyenne’s comments, as she’s been beefing with Cory’s baby mama for over a year. “There was tension with Cheyenne and I at the beginning of Cory and I’s relationship,” she tells Radar. “We had been on and off for a year before we made things public and there was definitely drama during that time.” Selfridge adds that she empathizes with Cheyenne’s frustrations and harbors no ill will toward her boyfriend’s baby mama: “So, for me I can understand why Cheyenne wasn’t a fan of it at the beginning,” Taylor says. “She wanted to know we were going to be serious about each other before she wanted me around Ryder.” Despite some obvious tension early on, it seems Taylor and Cheyenne are on friendly terms with one another these days: “I don’t hold anything against Cheyenne and I don’t think she holds anything against me now,” Selfridge claims. “We’re all in a good place with our relationships and happy.” She adds that her primary concern is for Cheyenne and Cory’s daughter, saying: “Ryder is the most important and all that matters is that she’s surrounded by love.” Well, it sounds like there won’t be many shots fired on that front. We guess fans better hope that newcomer Mackenzie McKee can deliver the drama, otherwise, we might be in for one seriously dull season! Source: Goads Agency / Getty Families Demand That Chicago PD Investigate Dozens Of Strangled Women Chicago police are under fire from the families of over 50 woman, mostly Black, who want to know exactly who killed their loved ones. According to CBS Chicago , between 2001 and 2019 there have been 51 bodies of strangled women found in the streets of Chicago, many of them on the west side and south side. Many in the community fear a serial killer after missing person cases like those of Kierra Coles and Chaunti Bryla. The Dreamcatcher Foundation staffer Brenda Stewart had this to say via WGN-TV : “I feel that people don’t care about women that are on drugs, work the streets. I mean, they’re human,” she said. She said the unsolved cases of mostly black women is scary. “If a family member doesn’t push the issue, of course they’re not going to look. That’s just another dead body, let’s take her to the morgue, she works the streets,” she said. Facts. We already know the system doesn’t prioritize Black women, much less Black women sex workers and drug users. Sanitation worker Riccardo Holyfield’s cousin Reo Renee Holyfield was found in the garbage bin last year, he agrees with Stewart via CBS Chicago: “If something don’t get done, it’s going to get worse,” Riccardo said. “People keep dismissing us because of these women’s backgrounds.” Despite the fact that these families are 100% right: Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson said right now there is just not enough information to say a serial killer or killers are responsible for strangling the women, but until arrests are made their families will continue pushing. Karrueche Tran: Actually there was a lot of back and forth with trying to figure out how the season was going to end. Of course you’ve got to end the season with a great cliffhanger. ‘ I forgot originally what it was. Jenn Lyon: We all took turns shooting Zlata but it didn’t get figured out until really late. It ended up that Dean got to do it. Karrueche Tran: I was so down for it. Cuz it’s a great ended. If anybody would have got shot, everybody would be like ‘Oh my God, are they gonna survive? I can’t wait for season 3.’ I love that kind of thrill of it all. Jenn Lyon: But people were in their feelings about it like, ‘if Virginia is dead I will riot.’ Karrueche Tran: The trailers are out now so people know I survived. And I have an eye patch now. JB: Speaking of the eye patch, I wanted to talk to you about that and just overall the insane wardrobes. Has any of that crossed over to your lives? Have you taken the eye patch home with you yet. KT: Listen, I hate that thing. She will tell you. Oh my God. JL: It really messed with her spacial awareness you know. And it didn’t help because we tease her mercilessly. We’ll ask her something and she’ll turn her whole body. KT: We had to do some activities and I was like ‘I have to do this with this thing on?’ JL: She was mean. We were like ‘Are you hungry?’ and she was like ‘No! I just have this stupid eye patch on.’ KT: Then between breaks I’d have half a face, my eye shadow wouldn’t be on because, for what? I wouldn’t have on lashes so I’d be walking around talking to people and they’d be like, ‘What’s wrong with your — oh the eye patch.’ JL: We gotta shot out Dolores, Dolores Ybarra — our wardrobe queen. The stuff she finds is just extraordinary. KT: She found several bedazzled eye patches, very Virginia. JB: Karrueche, I heard you researched exotic dancing by visiting Atlanta strip clubs. If Virginia were to dance in Atlanta, which club would she work at? KT: What’s the most poppin’ strip club in Atlanta? Onyx? Magic City? Follies? Cheetah is boring. I think Follies. Wait, no, because Follies is kinda nice like – Virginia comes from a ratchet place. But I guess Follies. I went to Follies during the day like 2’o’clock and did my research. ‘ JB: You guys have some musical numbers, you’re dancing this season. How was that? KT: Yeah I had to do that with the eye patch. JL: But they make it mesh so you can see a little bit. KT: Barely… JL: She’s still mad. Any surreal “Claws” moment, we love it. I come from like theater so any time we had free time I’d be like ‘let’s rehearse, like 5, 6, 7, 8.’ It feels like we are in school together or something. JB: Jenn’s character has a biracial daughter and this season her dad gets out of jail, your character really has to deal with these cultural issues, what did you think when you read that? JL: I really dug it, actually I pitched for him to get out of jail and for there to be that kind of conflict. It’s a microcosm of the tension and race relations that happen in a macro way. What happens when you’re afraid to lose something but you know you need to give up some of your control so your daughter can get a sense of her own culture? JB: Why is so hard to say no to Desna? She gets in trouble, gets out of trouble and doesn’t seem to know when to quit. KT: We’re very faithful but I think a part of us likes to live on the edge. We like the thrill. JL: Jenn tried to go to Tampa, but yeah I think we’re very faithful. It’s like saying no to your momma but also we want that bag. JB: Let’s talk about the relationships on the show — Jenn – she’s a drunk and he’s a crackhead — is there a happily ever after for you and Bryce? JL: I hope so. We’re both sober now and on the straight and narrow. He’s just my person. Jenn and Bryce they just get each other. And Kevin is just the best. KT: He is the best. JL: They get to work together more this season And they just laugh so much. JB: What about Virginia and Dean? KT: Ummm we are on a roller coaster this season, I can’t say much, I won’t say much, I don’t want to spoil but you’ll see. As you may have heard by now, Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have called it quits after four years of dating. The official account holds that there was no major drama, and the couple just drifted apart — but fans aren’t buying that narrative. The public always favors the most dramatic possible explanation for any celebrity breakup, and this time, they didn’t have to look very far in their search for potential drama. Ever since Cooper and Gaga’s intimate performance at the Oscars , there have been constant rumors that the collaborators started banging on the set of A Star Is Born and only tore themselves away long enough to make the occasional red carpet appearance. Not long after the film’s release, Gaga called off her engagement to Christian Carino , a development which added further grist to the rumor mill. Unless Gaga and Cooper officially announce that they’re a couple (which is the outcome the entire internet seems to be rooting for), we’ll probably never know for sure if there’s anything more than a platonic friendship between them. But it seems the mere suspicion that the co-stars were knocking boots may have been enough to prompt Shayk to call it quits: “Bradley’s relationship with baby mama Irina began to really fall apart when he started filming with Gaga and she accused him numerous times of cheating on her with his co-star,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. “Ever since then, Irina has not been able to trust Bradley at all.” Yes, according to Radar’s report, Shayk confronted Cooper, he denied engaging in any sort of infidelity, and she simply wasn’t convinced: “She doubted every single thing he said and she became incredibly jealous of Gaga,” says the insider. “She was also very possessive and controlling.” The source goes on to say that despite reports to the contrary, Cooper and Shayk’s breakup was decidedly not amicable: “The end of Bradley and Irina was a mess,” the tipster claimed. “All the two did was fight.” The cause of all that bickering? You guessed it — the suspiciously close offscreen relationship between Jackson Mayne and Ally. “Irina gets that he has to spend time with her, but she finds it totally inappropriate that he’s seeing so much of her at such odd hours,” an insider said last year when Brad and Lady were promoting A Star Is Born . “She’s very threatened by the situation.” One source claims the final straw for Shayk was an awards season photo in which a smudge of Gaga’s bright red lipstick could be seen on Cooper’s face. The couple reportedly tried to work things out for several months after the pic leaked, but this week, Shayk moved out of the home she had been sharing with Cooper. 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? returns on Sunday, and it's anyone's guess whether Chantel and Pedro can make it work . After the way the Pedro betrayed Chantel, she knew that she had to come see him for herself — over his stern objections. In this sneak peek, we see her frosty reception at the airport. Oh dear. … “My parents think that it's a bad idea for me to follow Pedro,” Chantrel candidly informs the camera. She says that The Family Chantel is of this opinion “because Pedro's family is not on good terms with me.” That is a massive understatement. “But,” she notes. “He's mentioned starting a business … divorce.” “Now,” Chantel expresses. “I'm feeling like I really need to go there and find out for myself what's going on.” “I'm here in the airport in Santo Domingo,” Pedro narrates to the camera. He explains that he is “waiting for Chantel because she's coming today.” “I feel so disappointed,” Pedro admits. He feels disrespected “because we talk about this one, and I telling her that I need my own time in the Dominican Republic.” Pedro wanted time “with my friend, with my family..” “And she say, ‘No,'” he observes. “She say only, ‘I gonna come there.'” “I [brought] some flowers and a balloon for her,” Pedro explains to the camera. He says that he did so “because that's the way I do it every time when Chantel comes to Dominican Republic before.” “In the beginning,” Pedro recalls. “Chantel and me, I say, ‘I have the perfect woman in the world. I feel like heaven.'” “But now it's so different,” he laments. “But, even though I'm disappointed with Chantel, that she coming,” Pedro emphasizes. “I want her to know that I love her anyways.” Pedro is admittedly sending some very contradictory signals when Chantel arrives. His balloons say “Te quiero,” meaning I want you . It's the Spanish-speaking equivalent of I love you (because te amo comes on way too strong). But his intense resting b–chface is, well, frosty to say the least. Chantel is all smiles when she sees her husband, but Pedro is cold and standoffish, turning his head when she tries to kiss him. He barely says anything (on camerra at least) in terms of welcome, saying “hi” and “we can go?” That's … pretty harsh, dude. But even that unfeeling reception was apparently a positive sign in Chantel's book. “You really surprised me by showing up,” Chantel says with a smile. “The fact that Pedro did bring me flowers and a ballon,” she says to the cmaera. “Makes me see a glimmer of hope.” Chantel hopes that “he may want to put forth the same effort that I'm putting forth.” But she makes it clear that making an effort with Pedro does not mean that she's making an effort with his family. “While I'm in the Dominican Republic, I'm not going to stay with Pedro's mom and sister,” Chantel promises. She explains that this is “because I don't trust them with anything. I'm just going to leave it at that.” That's probably a smart decision. That said, given the recent horrific news stories of hotel guests in the DR being assaulted and murdered, maybe The Family Pedro isn't the worst option. Maybe.
Source: Getty Kid Pleads Dallas To Stop The Violence After 13-Year-Old Malik Tyler Is Killed In Crossfire Senseless violence caused the death of a 13-year-old in Dallas and now video capturing the family’s grievance is packing a heartbreaking punch. According to Dallas News , middle schooler Malik Tyler was killed on Tuesday evening as he and two friends left a gas station in the 9400 block of Bruton Road, at North St. Augustine Drive. Tyler was only an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire of a moving vehicle shooting at another car. On Wednesday, officers said they arrested Datrail Deon Clayton, 21, as a suspect and he now faces a murder charge in the shooting. The corner where Tyler was shot has been problematic for years, making local residents and employees frustrated for the narcotic sales and gang violence that plagues the intersection. At a vigil on Wednesday, residents called for the city to shut down both the convenience store that adjoined the gas station and a car wash next door in honor of Tyler. “Do it for the kids,” someone said. Tyler’s vigil raised a lot of awareness to the surging violence in Dallas recently. According to Dallas News , last month alone had 41 homicides, the city’s highest monthly tally since the 1990s. Tyler’s mom, Tina Tyler, expressed her pain: “I don’t know what to say. Someone took my son from me.” A major heartbreaking moment occurred at the vigil when Malik’s friend MaQuesta Martin Jr. made a plea to stop the violence in the community. While remembering Malik, MaQuesta tearfully explained: “When I wanted to run away, he was there with me. When I was feeling down he was there with me. So pray for his family.” He continued: “I just want to say I love everybody. Can y’all just shut it down? Please stop the violence. There’s too many people getting hurt in Dallas. Just stop it. Love each other. Please!” Tyler’s mom added to the call for action, saying: “I hope that this goes nationwide, worldwide…that we do something to help our Black kids in this community. Because gun violence. Look at what happened. My son died here yesterday. This has been a great loss to my family. A Fulton County Medical Examiner determined Precious Harris died “from cocaine toxicity which aggravated hypertensive cardiovascular disease (high blood pressure).” But apparently Tip wasn’t pleased with TMZ’s headline, which boldly stated she died of a cocaine overdose. He believes it tarnishes her legacy.
