According to USA Today , his latest philanthropic project will focus on combatting global homelessness. As part of the project—which was founded by social entrepreneur Dr. Josh Littlejohn —individuals in 50 cities across the globe will sleep outside for one evening to raise $50 million that will be allocated to organizations that are on a mission to combat homelessness. During the one-night event, Smith will participate in a bedtime story reading in New York City’s Times Square and there will be simultaneous live performances by other entertainers held in Los Angeles, Chicago, Madrid, Amsterdam and other cities. The initiative is a collaborative effort between Social Bite, the Institute of Global Homelessness, UNICEF, the Malala Fund, and the Robin Hood organization and is slated to take place on December 7. “We want to send a message to the world’s political leaders to enact compassionate policy and find solutions for homelessness locally and the global refugee crisis that affects us all,” wrote Littlejohn in a statement on the initiative’s website. “We are a small, interconnected world. By collectively sacrificing our beds for one cold night we can reach out a hand of compassion and solidarity with those who need it most – homeless people on our doorsteps and refugees internationally.” Projects like The World’s Big Sleep Out are needed as homelessness is on the rise internationally. According to The Institute of Global Homelessness , there are 100 million people worldwide who have no housing. Smith and his family have been dedicated to supporting the homeless population. The announcement about his participation in this initiative comes just months after his son Jaden Smith launched a Los Angeles-based vegan food truck that provides free meals for the homeless. The Real Housewives of Orange County: Kelly Dodd Clobbers Shannon Beador With a Freakin’ Mallet, May Face Assault Charges

On Tuesday, a teaser for The Real Housewives of Orange County showed Shannon Beador complaining of head pain after a prank by Kelly Dodd. It turns out that the prank may have had lasting consequences for both women: For her part, Shannon races to the hospital after experiencing lasting head pain and blurred vision in the aftermath of the incident. And Kelly? She may just get charged with assault. We have to start, of course, with Shannon’s health. As the real housewives headed for their stay in Arizona, Shannon was very intent upon this being a peaceful healing retreat. Wishful thinking. In the meantime, Kelly spent the whole time making jokes about sex and dongs. Seriously, before they even arrived, she was all about it. Viewers were treated to Shannon asking Kelly what she wanted to work on healing (you know, like “trust” or “self-love” or whatever). Kelly replied that she had been on the receiving end of some satisfyingly vigorous sex, and therefore needed her genitals healed. Shannon found this pretty annoying, while Kelly felt that she was being way too serious about what is, after all, a reality show stunt. The reality TV twosome went to do a sound bath, which is sort of a ritual for both healing and one’s own aspirations. Unfortunately, Kelly was a bit ambitious for Shannon’s tastes. When it came time to express their hopes, Kelly said that she wanted her sparkling water business to do well. “We are at a place of healing, and I feel as though Kelly’s making a mockery of it,” Shannon complained to the camera. “Yeah, we all want success in our business,” she acknowledged. “But how superficial is that? Don’t mock the process.” You don’t have to believe that a ritual will work in order to at least be respectful if you’re going to participate, you know? Things got worse when the women were asked if they wanted to “stand in a motherbowl to clear your energy field and expand your aura.” Shannon volunteered. She seemed really dedicated to healing, and she has a lot of stress from which to recover. As you might have guessed by now, Kelly wasn’t feeling the same way … and that’s when things got terrible. She decided to play an unfortunate prank on Shannon. Using a short and decorated stick, Kelly decided to give the metal bowl adorned on Shannon’s head a good whack. At first, Shannon thought it was part of the ritual. Soon, however, Shannon was complaining that part of the ritual hurt, which is when Tamra revealed Kelly’s action. Shannon was aghast, and continued to complain of having a headache from her unexpected stint as a human gong. Shannon Beador: Did Kelly Dodd Give Her a CONCUSSION?! As we discussed when we first saw the clip (above), Shannon pointed out that pranks, however well-intentioned, should never get physical. To her credit, Kelly truly didn’t believe that she had drilled Beador in the noggin anywhere close to hard enough to cause any discomfort. She even offered Shannon the opportunity to retaliate, which Shannon declined. But as Shannon’s fears mounted that her headache could be a sign of something worse, she and Tamra departed. It’s always better to be safe than sorry (if you have the means to not only have health insurance, but use it) In the mean time, Emily and Kelly were astonished when they received a call informing them that Shannon was headed to urgent care. Braunwyn diplomatically suggested that they not mock this move until they find out that Shannon is truly okay. And at urgent care, an off-camera nurse asks Shannon if she wants to press assault charges against Kelly. The suspense is killing us, but that’s why they left us hanging until next week. The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14 Trailer: “I’m Not a F-cking Whore!” You might think that a whack over the head from a mallet would elicit a response of universal sympathy for Shannon. But believe it or not, viewers on Twitter were quite divided on the matter — a state of affairs that really serves as a testament to how widely disliked Ms. Beador has become in recent years. “I wonder what gave Shannon a bigger headache. The bowl hit or the bottle of tequila she drank. I’m just saying,” one fan remarked. Another Shannon hater was even more blunt, tweeting: “@ShannonBeador over reacts and exaggerates and blows things way out of proportion. C’mon Shannon stop crying about everything and grow some ovaries.” Yikes. We knew Shannon was particularly beloved on social media, but “grow some ovaries”? All because she got checked out by a doctor after taking a knock on the noggin? Talk about adding insult to injury! Elsewhere in the episode, Emily had her big Vegas show but was unhappy at how distant Gina has grown, despite Gina’s personal troubles. And honestly? Emily seems a little jealous that Gina’s found the time to grow closer to Shannon. Remember, Shannon couldn’t stand Gina last season. In fact, Emily, Kelly, and Braunwyn are all bonding over how unhappy they are with Gina and Shannon’s friendship. Eric Nichols: Larissa Lima Dumped Me Over INSTAGRAM!

On Wedneday, September 11, Larissa Lima and Eric Nichols broke up after a hot and steamy seven months. But it turns out that the breakup was not mutual. In fact, Eric has revealed that Larissa dumped him … over Instagram. To make matters worse, Eric has now found the perfect way to exact revenge. Eric Nichols (whose name was initially reported as Eric Foster) dated Larissa from early February until early September. Unfortunately, their breakup has not been as amicable as anyone (save those of us who get to write about it) had hoped. Eric has taken to his Instagram to share a screenshot of his travel itinerary from his Colorado trip, saying that it was the catalyst for the split. ‘After posting this to my story,” Eric writes. “She DM’d me via Instagram very upset, accusing me that I didn’t invite her, so on and so forth.” He points out that “she herself had been sharing excitement in her stories over the upcoming Colorado trip for the past couple months.” Larissa had made that clear to fans, he adds, “and was literally talking with one of my brothers about it THE NIGHT BEFORE.” “When I had put my phone down to shower and show my house to a future tenant,” Eric reveals. “I got a call from my mother about an hour later.” He says that his mom called “asking ‘are you doing okay?’ And she said ‘I saw a post from :&@:% on FB that you’re parting ways.'” “I didn’t think much of it,” Eric admits. “And,” he continues, he “said ‘I’m not sure, I haven’t seen it yet, but will soon. We’ll be okay, these arguments happen between us often.'” Eric notes that he thought it was an incident “like when she archives our photos from Instagram when she’s upset.” “Continuing my conversation with mother ‘Debie/Duke’ for another 20-30 minutes,” Eric narrates. He writes that he did so “not realizing when we got off the phone, I’d be going back to my DM’s to find multiple messages from my X.” Eric says that Larissa messaged him “stating a finalized break up on her ‘now’ terms.” “From there,” he writes. “I realized I was blocked and the apology DM’s were already packed.” Hard to make things right if you can’t get in touch with someone. Word to the wise: don’t be impatient. “Here’s the thing….” Eric tells his followers. “Lots of fabrication, secrets, stress, endless arguments, and hoops that turned into spirals.” “But,” he emphasizes. “There were some high level times.” We should hope so. The two were an item for seven months! ‘I don’t wish this girl good luck or bad luck,” Eric promises. “I just wish her a new boyfriend…. or husband,” he expresses. “In the history of an 8 month ordeal I am appreciative of certain outcomes,” Eric writes. He and Larissa both do this thing where they count both the starting month and ending month of a relationship. They dated for seven months. “All in all, I do want to give a big shout out to the haters who are instigator traders that balance out the positives,” he shares. “Lastly,” Eric concludes. “I want to give a monstrous THANK YOU TO ALL supportive friends who follow with love & synergy!” That is very sweet of him. But lately, Eric’s attitude has turned a little less sweet. He has been hanging out with Coltee — Larissa’s other, more infamous ex. Eric even spent time with Debbie and with the slot machine that Larissa so despised. This is a giant middle finger to Larissa if there ever were one. Some believe that Eric and Larissa were getting a reality TV deal that Larissa ruined with the breakup, which might explain his spiteful behavior. But maybe it’s just human nature. It’s hard to fall out of love without some bitterness. This is still a fresh wound.

Nicole Nafziger: FIRED from 90 Day Fiance for Abusing Azan?!

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? stars Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou have weathered wild rumors about each other and their relationship. This time, it’s a little more serious, because Nicole and Azan really will not be returning to next season of Happily Ever After? And fans are now confronting her about the rumor that she was fired from the show after laying hands on Azan. Rumors exist, especially if you’re a reality star — no matter how much or little of yourself you share with the world. Sometimes, these rumors take the form of widely circulated reports that ultimately don’t pan out and are debunked. Other times, it’s a wild claim passed around in a whisper. This is one of those times. 90 Day Fiance fans were actually claiming that Nicole and Azan are through with 90 Day Fiance … because of an incident when they finally met up. The claim is that Nicole became violent with Azan, and TLC pulled the plug on their 15 minutes of fame. Multiple people brought this up in the comments under a gorgeous selfie of Nicole’s we’re sorry to say. “Is it true that you and Azan won’t be on TLC anymore because you were physically violent with him?” one impertinent fan asked. “No,” Nicole replied, with more patience than most of us would have shown. She did clarify that part of that rumor, at least, is true — they’re off the show. “We aren’t going to be on another season,” she explains. “Because we chose not to go on again right now.” Obviously, it’s wise to not always take a reality star’s reply to this sort of question at face value. A domestic abuser is rarely going to fess up to it at all, especially on Instagram. And plenty of reality stars have announced that they’ve lost interest in stardom when really they’ve just been let go from the cast. But Nicole is dramatic enough to be asked back to the show. And we definitely believe that she wasn’t fired for abusing Azan. It’s kind of hard to get violent with your fiance when there’s a whole ocean between you. She hasn’t seen him in person in a while. Fans have worried about Nicole for years, given that she keeps clinging to a long-term relationship that appears from the outside to be in limbo. A lot of people think that it’s just thirst that keeps her waiting even as he drags his feet. (Case in point, look at the photo of Azan above; plenty of Americans would let him string them along for the chance at intimate video chats) Others think that she’s “desperate” for a man and willing to cling to the “illusion” of Azan rather than look for a husband closer to home. These rumors range from concerned to deeply unkind, but fan opinions have never swayed her. Nicole has explained that she’s not bothered by what outside perspectives assume about her relationship. Despite every setback, she remains committed to her relationship with Azan and to their eventual marriage and lives in the US. Honestly? No matter how the romance began, it seems clear that Nicole and Azan love each other. The question, however, is whether — after canceled vacations and unexplained trip delays — love is enough anymore. Should either of them be putting their lives on hold if it means pining across an ocean instead of being together? But Nicole is no more bothered by doubts than she is by wild claims about her “firing” from the show. Real talk? She’s been posting for months about how she feels kind of “over it” when it comes to reality television. She recently shared an update of her back to work at Starbucks — which means that she sounds serious about living her normal life. Ashley Martson: Oh God, Is She REALLY Back With Jay Smith?

As soon as the news broke that Jay Smith and Kayle O’Brien broke up , fans wondered if he might try to get back with Ashley. He had a much better life with her than she had with him. And the rumors sounded plausible after they showed up at the same event. Now, Ashley is telling 90 Day Fiance fans exactly what’s really going on, and why she and Jay were “together.” Over the weekend — around the same time as Jay’s split with his mistress-turned-girlfriend Kayla — Jay and Ashley appeared at the same venue. That’s odd for exes, especially bitter ones. In fact, it may have been a violation of Ashley’s protective order that is supposed to keep Jay at bay. “Was it weird being at the same event with Jay?” one of her devoted followers asked on Instagram. “It’s expected we both filmed the same show,” Ashley replied, expressing a cavalier attitude. Ashley continued: “I just do my thing and handle my business.” “Why are you and Jay acting like you didn’t hang out last night?” another, more confrontational and accusatory, follower asked. “Where did you see me to know how I’m ‘acting’ about last nights appearance,” Ashley clapped back. “I have not responded about what I did or didn’t do at the event,” she clarified. Ashley continued: “Please don’t state I’m acting some type of way.” “…stop creating stories in your head!” she concluded. That’s very good advice (unless you’re a writer). The venue in question, by the way, was an OK Magazine party. Honestly, the magazine should have known better than to invite both exes. Fine normally, not fine when there’s a domestic violence prevention order. Another guest was Bachelor in Paradise ‘s Christian Estrada, who is notably rumored to be dating Ashley. The most exciting guest of the night was probably Tyler Cameron — who did not have Gigi Hadid with him. (We don’t think that this means that their relationship is in trouble so much as that Gigi has no need to attend an OK Magazine party) We’re sure that it was a large enough crowd that Ashley and Jay could avoid rubbing elbows. Early this summer, Ashley went on a much-needed family vacation. After months of stress, it was the perfect getaway. Unfortunately, during her absence, Jay allegedly broke into her home — months after separation — and took things. Given what Ashley says is a documented history of abuse during their relationship, police advised her to get a PFA. On July 1, Ashley obtained that Protection From Abuse order from the court and Jay was barred from approaching her or discussing the order. Unfortunately, just one day later, he broke the PFA, publicly discussing the order. Police saw it on Instagram. Jay was at least wise enough to voluntarily surrender instead of forcing police to arrest him. Because he is not a legal resident, Jay was placed in ICE custody. He spent the majority of July behind bars and was miserable. (As abhorrent as ICE’s recent crimes against humanity may be, it’s not easy to sympathize with a dude who deliberately broke a restraining order) However, his boss at the tattoo shop wrote up a check and paid his bail once the court actually set bail for him. Jay was free. Honestly, after all of that, you would think that Jay would be more careful about the PFA order. Ashley probably could have made Jay’s life miserable this weekend, but clearly opted to do otherwise. Jay’s recent ex, Kayla, seems to think that Ashley is capricious and wants to lure Jay close to her so that she can call the police. Of course, she has that impression of Ashley because her knowledge of Jay’s ex-wife all comes through Jay. Consider the source, folks. He is also the executive music producer of the upcoming EPIX miniseries “Godfather of Harlem,” which is about crime monster Bumpy Johnson. The father of stopped by “The Clay Cane Show” on SiriusXM Urban View to talk about the film and how he keeps his kids informed. The 41-year-old began discussing how he handles his son being called the N-word. They come back from school and bring up different words and different things… My son plays soccer and he goes through this thing where they like to use the N-word with him a lot.” Cane asked if it was Black kids or white kids using the racial slur and Swizz explained it was Mexican kids on his soccer team. He continued, “Before I would’ve been aggressive, I would have had a different outlook. But I just had to tell him, ‘We can’t move forward with using ignorance with ignorance, right?’ If I go up to his game and step to that person’s dad, that doesn’t turn into the right thing.” He then added, “So I just simply tell him, ‘Look man, when people call you those names, it just lets you know who they want to be. Because my last name is Wang, and that’s obviously–when I first came out to LA–I was going out as ‘Chloe Wang’ and a casting director in the room told me I wasn’t white enough to be the lead and I wasn’t Asian enough to be the best friend.” She goes on to add that after changing her last name to her father’s first name, “Bennet” for auditions, she started booking gigs immediately. The NYC rapper and actor was cited for battery after allegedly getting into an altercation during a threesome gone wrong. No wonder he chilled on the Xanax . Reports TMZ : The New York rapper was cited last weekend in Las Vegas after cops interviewed multiple witnesses to an altercation he and 2 women allegedly got into following an appearance Saturday night at Drai’s Nightclub. According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, Dave invited 2 women back to his room at the Delano hotel and started having sex with them. From Dave’s POV, he told officers that 1 woman was upset he wasn’t giving her as much attention … and flipped out. Dave told cops she started hurling champagne bottles at him from across the room, and 2 of ’em made contact … striking him in the head and leaving cuts — which cops saw — on his arm and leg. As for the woman’s version … she told officers that in the middle of the sexual encounter, she and Dave got into an argument, and he threw punches 5-6 times, with one hitting her arm. She said she ran to the bathroom to call cops. She made no mention of bottles being thrown. Other witnesses included a third woman who entered the room once the argument started and one of Dave’s friends. The woman said Dave was the aggressor, while his buddy only saw the woman hurling bottles. Obviously, a he-said, she-said situation. No one was arrested, but both East and the woman were cited for battery, and treated for their injuries in separate hospitals. The rapper’s attorney, Stacey Richman, vehemently denies the allegations, only noting that Dave East did put the woman out of the room for the sake of everyone else’s safety.
