According to BET: Sean “Diddy” Combs continues to be the wealthiest artist in hip hop. Diddy tops Forbes’ 2014 list of Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest Artists with a net worth of $700 million, bringing him one step closer to becoming the game’s first billionaire. He’s held the top spot since the list started circulating in 2011. This fiscal cycle, the Bad Boy Records mogul has seen his net worth increase by $120 million since the launch of his music channel, Revolt TV, last year. Second on the Forbes’ list is Dr. Dre, at $550 million. The reigning king of the headphones industry garnered most of his multi-millions from the success of Beats by Dre, and this year bested Jay Z for the No. 2 spot he held in 2013. Still, Jay follows closely behind Dre with $520 million. He is the only name in the top five that can count personal record sales in his take home. Hov’s deal with Samsung to exclusively release Magna Carta Holy Grail netted him a multi-million dollar paycheck last year, in addition to the money made from royalties, touring and his Roc Nation imprint. Brian “Birdman” Williams took the fourth spot at $160 million, which is just over half of the $300 million Cash Money empire he splits with brother Ronald “Slim” Williams. Peaches Geldof, the daughter of world-famous musician Bob Geldof, died Monday in Kent, England. She was only 25, and her father is at an utter loss. “We are beyond pain,” Bob Geldof said in a statement Monday. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.” It remains unclear how Peaches Geldof died , but it came as a shock. Medical personnel were first called to an address in a small town in Kent over “a report of concern for the welfare of a woman” on Monday afternoon. “A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service,” Kent Police said later in a statement released to the media. “At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained sudden death . Police are working to establish the circumstances around the death.” A rep added that no further details would be disclosed on Monday. Peaches Geldof is best known for her contributions in the fashion and entertainment industries, where she’s worked as a columnist for Elle magazine. She wrote for UK newspapers the Telegraph and Guardian , and also worked as a TV presenter, hosting a series called OMG! with Peaches Geldof . This is not the first tragedy to have affected the Geldof family. Peaches lost her mother, Paula Yates, in September 2000 due to a drug overdose. Peaches Geldof was just 11 years old when Yates passed away, and she later said it was a struggle for her to accept that her mother had died. “I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it,” Geldof said in an interview with Elle UK in late 2012. “I just blocked it out.” “I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on.’ I didn’t start grieving for my mother properly until I was maybe 16.” Peaches went on to marry rocker Max Drummey, but they split up in 2009 after just six months of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2011. Miley Cyrus backed out of a concert at the very last moment last night. A rep for the artist confirms that Cyrus came down with a case of the flu and was forced to postpone a show in Charlotte as a result, just 30 minutes prior to when it was scheduled to begin. “Due to illness, Miley Cyrus’ “Bangerz” tour date scheduled for tonight, April 7, Time Warner Cable Arena Charlotte has been cancelled,” read a statement in response to the incident. “Cyrus has been diagnosed with flu and doctors have ordered her to rest. She will not be able to perform as scheduled. Refunds for Charlotte tickets will be available at the point of ticket purchase. Tickets purchased online or by phone will be automatically refunded.” According to the same statement, Miley will perform tonight in Raleigh. The singer has had a very tough week. Her dog, Floyd, was killed by a coyote and Cyrus has been openly been in “unbearable pain” over the tragedy. She actually sang to a statue of the dog in Brooklyn over the weekend and has wondered via Twitter whether she’ll ever be able to love again . Often crying in concert over the past few days, Cyrus has said the tears have negatively affected her voice. Lots of fans felt duped by Monday’s How I Met Your Mother finale , and it turns out that may be just how the show’s creators wanted us to feel. How I Met Your Mother Finale Recap Josh Radnor – who played Ted Mosby on the long-running CBS sitcom – says HIMYM’s title was always intended to be a “fake-out,” as the show’s creators planned and partially filmed the controversial ending years ago. Radnor says he thought showrunners Craig Thomas and Carter Bays might change their mind after introducing audiences to “the Mother” actress Cristin Milioti, but the writers stuck to their original plan. “Especially after Cristin,” Radnor said in a recent interview. “Because she was so wonderful and the fans seemed to really take to her. So I asked them, ‘Are you guys still doing that?’ And they said yeah.” As for the title, Radnor says the cast and crew always treated it as something of a red herring: “Really it was more about these are the crazy adventures and these are the lessons I had to learn before I met your mother,” says Radnor. “Part of the DNA of the show is they lead you one way and then they pull you back.” Those are some good justifications, but we think it sounds like Josh wasn’t too thrilled with that ending either. Joe is moving on to new things… R&B Singer Joe Signs Label Deal With New Manager Gerald “Plaid” Isaac Via Billboard reports : R&B singer/songwriter Joe and new manager/business partner Gerald “Plaid” Isaac have signed with BMG Chrysalis North America. Plaid Take-Over, the duo’s new label, will release Joe’s next album “Bridges” through BMG Artist Services with distribution from RED. The move to BMG Chrysalis marks Joe’s split from Kedar Massenburg, his longtime manager and label chief at both Kedar Entertainment and Massenburg Media. Prior to that, Joe recorded for Mercury and Jive. “Bridges” is the follow-up to Joe’s 2013 Massenburg Media album “DoubleBack: Evolution of R&B.” That project debuted at No. 1 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and No. 6 on the Billboard 200. Set for release this summer, “Bridges” includes first single “Love & Sex Part 2″ featuring Kelly Rowland. “Working with Gerald has been a well-thought-out process and a much-needed move for me in moving forward as an artist and a businessman,” said Joe in a statement. “He is a razor in this game with unique business savvy. I am confident the teams will leave no stone unturned in helping us to continue building my model.” Joe, a seven-time Grammy Award nominee, will perform songs from “Bridges” during his upcoming spring tour with stops in the U.S., Europe and Asia.
