During an interview this week, Kanye West likened his job as a rapper to that of a police officer or soldier . But despite the artist’s explanation that his life is in danger on stage because he could slip at any time (he really said this), at least one person in an authority position has spoken out and put West in his place. In a totally awesome manner. Kanye West Compares Himself to a Cop Meet Ohio Police Chief David Oliver. The Brimfield resident was listening to Kanye’s baffling comparison and actually wrote an open letter to the soon-to-be Mr. Kim Kardashian on his department’s Facebook page. “You sir, are as misguided as they come,” the message begins, before growing sarcastic in tone as it tears Kanye a new one. “Since you are accustomed to danger, from your life as an international rapper, I am strongly encouraging you immediately abandon you career as a super star and join the military,” it reads, continuing: “After joining, I would like you to volunteer to be deployed in Afghanistan or one of the numerous other forward locations where our men an women are currently serving. When the Taliban starts shooting at you, perhaps you could stand up and let the words flow. “I’m sure they would just drop weapons and surrender. You could quite possibly end all wars, just from the enemy being star-struck.” The letter then concludes with a far more pointed theme: “What I do not get is you EVER comparing what you do for a living to our heroic military members, who are always in harm’s way… and my brother and sister police officers who have to go to work carrying weapons and wearing a bullet-proof vest to protect themselves. “Check yourself, before you wreck yourself….Chief Oliver.” Game, set, match, Chief Oliver. Well played, sir.

The + singer said one word was going through his mind when his name was called for Best New Artist: ‘Yikes.’ By Emily Blake, with reporting by Chris Kim
Miley Cyrus turned 21 yesterday. So we can’t really blame the artist for lounging around in bed this morning. We’re guessing she had quite the legal night! Cyrus posted a handful of selfless to Twitter today, two of which included her adorable dogs. She captioned one image “perfect start to a perfect day” and added of another, in reference to a pooch: “I love him soooo f–king much I can’t stand it.” It’s unclear just how Miley celebrated her milestone, but fans dropped off balloons and flowers in front of her home in honor of the occasion. Unfortunately, the weekend got off to a very rough start for the birthday gal, as her home was burglarized Friday afternoon. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Miley will perform tonight at the American Music Awards and then host a private bash at the theater of Beacher’s Madhouse in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel later in the week. Miley Cyrus Birthday Tribute
