The nominations have been revealed for the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards, which will be hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood on November 6. A look at the nominees shows Florida-Georgia Line, Taylor Swift , Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean lead the way in their genre, to the surprise of no one. Swift is a previous winner of the Entertainer of the Year trophy, but lost out at last year’s event to Blake Shelton. Both stars are up for it again in 2013. Taylor will also compete for Female Vocalist of the Year honors against Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and Carrie Underwood. Former celebrity bodyguard Norman Oosterbroek, who protected Beyonce, Jay Z, Lady Gaga and Rihanna, died after police Tasered him during a home invasion. Norman Oosterbroek: Bodyguard Tasered to Death South Florida’s NBC 6 says police were called when a naked Oosterbroek, owner of the security company RAD, entered a mansion uninvited on his street. Ooesterbroek and his family were leasing a home in the same neighborhood. It’s not clear why he entered the other home last week, but he did. Homeowner Christiane Jung, 47, found him first and his intrusion led to a violent confrontation between Oosterbroek and her husband, Markus Jung. At the scene, Oosterbroke was also seen swallowing an unknown substance. When police arrived to try to take him into custody, he became aggressive. He had to be shocked by a Taser, according to the police report, and was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead at the age of 43. Miami-Dade Police spokesman Detective Javier Baez said in a statement: “He was observed swallowing, ingesting some kind of substance, unknown substance that is.” “It’s possible that he may have been under some type of narcotics.” News of the encounter shocked the celebrity gossip world as well as his neighbors like Julia Brinck, who said the story just makes no sense. “I would like to know what really happened, because I don’t understand why a naked man is going inside a house and for what,” she said.
Fifty Shades of Grey star Charlie Hunnam says he’s ready to embrace the role of Christian Grey, and that there’s tangible chemistry with his co-star. At the FX premiere of Sons of Anarchy Season 6 , Hunnam, 33, discussed for the first time how he landed the role of Christian, and why he wanted it. “As soon as we got in the room and started reading with Dakota, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it, because there was a tangible chemistry between us.” “It felt kind of exciting and fun and weird and compelling, and so that was it.” That would be his co-star Dakota Johnson, 23, who will portray Anastasia Steele, Christian’s lover in the much-anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey movie . Right around when he transformed into P. Diddy in 2011, the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy was selling this 10,000-square-foot mansion for $2.313 million. P. Diddy has since dropped the P, but his former home certainly hasn’t dropped in price – the 1998 build recently returned the Beverly Hills, CA, market for a whopping $10.9 million. Located inside the affluent and guard-gated neighborhood known as the Summit, Diddy’s former digs are pretty much what one would expect of a business and entertainment mogul. Asked by Australian radio station Gold 104.3 for her thoughts on Miley’s VMA performance , the singer at first labeled it as a “sad” example of a “girl gone wild.” But the Tony nominee then zeroed on the tracks to which Cyrus Twerked alongside Robin Thicke and picked apart the lyrics of ” Blurred Lines .” “She’s in a song that literally says that the blurred lines allowed you to – when a woman says no, she means yes – and that’s frightful because that’s date rape,” said Lauper, adding: “I just felt like that was so beneath her and raunchy, really raunchy. It wasn’t even art.” Lauper is one of many who have expressed shock and horror at Miley’s antics, though the artist herself remains undeterred: She bragged soon afterward about how many Tweets per minute her routine brought in.
