My name is Reiko, I’m from NYC and I met Justin on…

My name is Reiko, I’m from NYC and I met Justin on 6/20/12. My friends and I figured out where he was staying, so we decided to go. The first day we went, there was around 25 girls there and we waited for about 2 hours until he came out. He was going to take pictures but all of the girls went crazy and started screaming so he just left to go to The View, but he rolled down the window and as he was driving away he was like, “Go to The View, for me!” and he left. I had to leave, and a few days past by with no luck. On Wednesday I decided to go to the hotel again and there weren’t many people girls, only six girls because everyone else was at David Letterman, or the buyout. We decided to just wait at the hotel. The first time my friends said he came out and didnt even say hi, and he just drove away, but we weren’t mad. Obviously we understood if Justin didn’t want to take pictures this one time, since he always takes pictures and is always so nice. After a few hours, we saw his car come up, and Moshe came out, then his grandfather came out and we all waved, (he is so nice too) and then Justin came out and he came up to us. We started taking pictures and he goes, “Can we use one camera so it’s faster?” and we decided to use my camera which was a nikonD3100, and I started taking pictures of the girls, and he goes, “This girl is so nice!” and when I went to get my picture, he was so sweet. He made sure everyone got pictures then went back into the hotel. He stopped at the back and got out of his car for us and then just walked to the front. He could’ve just went through the garage without doing or saying anything, but he didn’t. We also made sure my two friends that never got a picture with him had gotten a picture first. He was so nice. For those who didn’t meet him, no worries you’ll get your turn. Words cannot explain how much he cares about us beliebers, he CARES. He doesnt only want fame and fortune, like some other artists. Thats what makes him so special, him and his music is so inspirational. In the picture with Alfredo and I, he came out through the front and my friend goes, “That’s Alfredo!” so we go up to him and after my friends asked for her picture since she never met him before and she loved him. I went up to him and asked for a kissing picture and he kissed me on the cheek and he smelled so good! hahahah! The Bieber Crew in general is so sweet and unbelievably caring. Never Say Never, right? -@itsreikooo   Read this article: My name is Reiko, I’m from NYC and I met Justin on…

Returning to Chicago for treatment on his vocal cords, Write Me Back singer cancels New York appearances, a rep tells MTV News. By Rob Markman R. Kelly Photo: R. Kelly ‘s voice defined a generation, but now the iconic singer’s vocal chords are a source of concern for him and his team. One of Kelly’s reps told MTV News that the singer — who released his 11th studio album, Write Me Back , on Tuesday — was on his way into New York City for a series of press obligations and appearances when he began to experience some discomfort. With Kellz and his team about three hours from the Big Apple, the bus turned around to head back to Kelly’s hometown of Chicago, where he will see a specialist. TMZ reported that the singer’s discomfort stems from his emergency surgery in July 2011, where doctors had to drain an abscess on one of his tonsils. According to the site, Kelly had to cancel scheduled appearances on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” and NBC’s “Today” show and a book-launch party. The Pied Piper of R&B’s reps tell TMZ they are unsure how long he will be sidelined. Kelly was busy promoting his upcoming book, “Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me.” On Tuesday, Rolling Stone ran an excerpt from the book in which the Grammy Award-winning singer expresses his admiration for the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. He reveals that he and ‘Pac discussed the possibility of doing a Best of Both Worlds about six years before Kelly and Jay-Z released their collaborative work. Unfortunately, Tupac’s tragic murder put an end to that idea. Kellz did have the chance to work with the Notorious B.I.G., however. Together, they recorded a few songs, including 1995’s “(You to Be) Be Happy” and 1997’s “F— You Tonight.” Still, Biggie left his biggest impression when Kelly auditioned the legendary rapper for an unfinished version of “I Believe I Can Fly.” “I’m gonna tell you right now, B, that’s a smash. That’s a big hit right there. That’s a Grammy winner, Rob,” Kelly recalls a tearful Biggie saying. “They gonna be playing that when you and I have moved onto the other side of time.” Share your get-well message for R. Katy Perry: ‘It’s Time For Me To Go The F— Away’

‘I want to go and write songs in the woods or something,’ she tells MTV News about her next move. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Katy Perry and MTV News’ Christina Garibaldi Photo: It comes as no surprise that Katy Perry needs a bit of a break. She released her megahit Teenage Dream album two years ago, and it’s been a bit of blur ever since. She’s shot numerous, big-budget music videos, topped the charts, got married and divorced, toured the world, re-released her album and even managed to squeeze in filming her first-ever 3-D concert film, “Katy Perry: Part of Me.” It’s a sequence of events that would leave a lesser women exhausted. And it seems all that hustle and bustle is finally catching up with the purple-haired pop superstar. She said she’s now ready to chill out for a bit — finally. “I’m going into hiding,” she told MTV News on Tuesday night at her splashy film premiere in L.A. The lady in red added, “I want to go and write songs in the woods or something.” If it feels like you’ve been seeing a lot of Perry lately, well, that will soon change. “I’m gonna unplug, take my hair extensions out, feel my head again. I’m gonna unplug and recharge, if that makes any sense,” she said. “I’m gonna go away. I’m sure you know it’s time for me to go the f— away.” But before she does actually goes off the grid, she’ll be around a little bit longer as she promotes her July 5 movie release, which she said will show fans just how crazy her Teenage Dream era has truly been. Her film touches on not only the good, but also the bad, including her split from ex Russell Brand . “I wouldn’t say it’s so therapeutic, because the movie is so well-rounded with so many different things,” Perry said. “I guess some of it is just hopefully an inspiration for people. When they see it, they are like, ‘Oh, yeah, she goes through some sh– too. I can’t dodge life’s curve balls if Katy Perry can’t dodge life’s curve balls.’ ” Check out everything we’ve got on ” Katy Perry: Part of Me. ” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Spice Girls ‘Viva Forever!’ Musical: Five Must-Hear Tracks

MTV News picks the pop ballads we most want to hear when the Spice Girls musical hits the stage. By Jocelyn Vena Spice Girls Photo: The Spice Girls — all five of them — appeared in London on Tuesday to announce “Viva Forever!,” a musical based on their career and music, named after their 1997 single. The girls gathered on the stairs of the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, 16 years after they shot their star-making “Wannabe” video there. With “Mamma Mia!” producer Judy Craymer and “Absolutely Fabulous” star Jennifer Saunders collaborating on the project, this jukebox musical, according to the ladies, will “embrace all generations.” This is hardly the first time that the ladies have used their rise to fame as the basis for a piece of semi-fiction. They spoofed their pop superstardom in the 1997 comedy “Spice World.” And, while it was a landmark event to see all five of the Spice Girls in one place on Tuesday, they also reunited for a massive world tour in 2007 . In an interview with the BBC at the event, the Spice Girls themselves seemed excited to have their music, which focused quite frequently on themes of female empowerment, hitting the stage for a new crop of young people to hear. Posh Spice herself, Victoria Beckham, added, “We’re going to be introducing a whole new generation to Girl Power.” So, when it comes to a musical based on the music of the peace sign-making, platform shoe-wearing, brassy fivesome, there’s an endless number of tracks that can be plucked from their catalog to include in the show. So, MTV News is pitching our five favorite (and in our opinion definitive) tracks that we hope make the final cut of the show. “Wannabe” This is the track that introduced the world to the Spice Girls. Off their 1996 debut, Spice, the cheeky song reminded any potential love interests that “If you wannabe my lover, you got to get with my friends.” Not only did it launch the ladies to pop fame, it also made the term “zigazig-ha” a perplexing, must sing-along-to lyric. “Say You’ll Be There” Also off Spice, this track, which spawned our favorite SG video of all time thanks to its overt references to “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!,” picked up where “Wannabe” left off, reminding girls everywhere that just because a guy really likes you doesn’t mean you have to commit to him. Girl power, indeed. “Spice Up Your Life” One year after dropping their debut, the ladies were still riding high off instant mega-fame and released 1997’s Spice World. “Spice Up Your Life” was all about throwing caution to the wind no matter your race or gender, with the ladies proudly proclaiming, “Colors of the world/ Spice up your life/ Every boy and every girl/ Spice up your life.” With congos and Latin music influencing the sound of the track (and everything that year), “Spice” was an anthem that proved their music can just make you dance, or merengue. “Stop” “Stop right now/Thank you very much/I need somebody with a human touch.” While we’re still not exactly sure what that means — unless, of course the ladies had been romanced by robots 8212; we get where the girls are coming from on this 1998 single about guys who just can’t quit playing games with their hearts. “Too Much” The girl group slowed it down in ’98 for this awesome ballad where the five ladies have some choice words for any guy who thinks it’s going to be easy to woo the Spice Girls. Reminder, they want a man, not a boy who thinks he can. Um, tell us about it, girls. Which is your favorite Spice Girls song? Tell us in the comments below! Related Artists Spice Girls

Justin Bieber Nabs Year’s Biggest Chart Debut With Believe

Bieber’s latest sold more than 374,000 copies in its first week, edging Madonna’s MDNA to claim the title of year’s biggest bow. By James Montgomery Justin Bieber’s Believe Photo: Most predicted it , and now it’s official: Justin Bieber ‘s Believe scored the year’s biggest chart debut, selling more than 374,000 copies and blasting the competition on the Billboard Top 200. Believe — Bieber’s fourth album to debut at #1 — slightly edged Madonna’s MDNA, which sold 359,000 copies when it was released in late March, to claim the title of year’s biggest bow, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It’s also the best first-week number any album has posted since Adele’s 21 rode a post-Grammy surge to sales of more than 729,000 copies in February. Bieber’s album also sold nearly twice the copies as its closest competition, Kenny Chesney ‘s Welcome to the Fishbowl, which opens at #2 on the chart with an impressive 193,000 copies in its first week of release. Usually that number is more than enough to take #1, but not this week. Fiona Apple ‘s first album in seven years, The Idler Wheel, debuts at #3, selling nearly 72,000 copies, followed by another returning alt icon, the Smashing Pumpkins , who sold more than 53,000 copies of their Oceania to take #4. The “Rock of Ages” soundtrack rounds out the top five, selling nearly 49,000 copies. Usher, last week’s chart champ (and Bieber’s mentor), is in at #6 with his Looking 4 Myself album, which sold 48,000 copies in its second week. Adele ‘s aforementioned 21 lands at #7 (more than 47,000 copies sold), followed by One Direction ‘s Up All Night (more than 41,000 sold) and Luke Bryan ‘s Tailgates & Tanlines (nearly 28,000 sold). Rush ‘s Clockwork Angels closes out the top 10, selling nearly 27,000 copies. Other debuts on the chart include the Dirty Heads ‘ Cabin by the Sea, which opens at #18 with sales of nearly 18,000 copies, “Once” star Glen Hansard ‘s Rhythm and Repose (#21, more than 16,000 copies sold) and the soundtrack to Pixar’s “Brave,” which bows at #33, with sales of nearly 12,000 copies. And while the story of this week’s Billboard chart is unquestionably Bieber, next week could be a different story. He’ll face challenges from both Linkin Park ‘s LIVING THINGS and Maroon 5 ‘s Overexposed, both of which could make his reign a short-lived one. Can Bieber make it two weeks in a row atop the charts? We’ll just have to wait and see. Related Photos The Evolution Of: Justin Bieber Related Artists Justin Bieber

Tyler Perry’s ‘Alex Cross’ Trailer: Five Key Scenes

Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox feel the pain in the first trailer for the James Patterson adaptation. By Josh Wigler Tyler Perry in “Alex Cross” Photo: Don’t cross Alex Cross. Do cross the “Alex Cross” trailer. Tyler Perry makes his debut as James Patterson’s iconic detective and forensic psychologist in the first official trailer for “Alex Cross,” which premiered exclusively on Amazon Tuesday (June 26). Previously played by Morgan Freeman in “Kiss the Girls” and “Along Came a Spider,” Cross gets a younger makeover in the Perry-starring flick, as well as an impossibly ripped homicidal-maniac nemesis in the form of “Lost” veteran Matthew Fox. The trailer is all kinds of bonkers, with Fox shouting out sadistic one-liners and threatening women like it’s his job (in this case, it actually is) and Perry doing everything he can to hold it together while going up against one of the most ruthless psychopaths this side of Madea. Keep reading for five key scenes from the trailer! Tyler Perry’s Alex Cross If there’s one word to describe Perry’s take on the sharp-minded detective, it’s “smooth.” The trailer introduces us to a cool and composed Alex sipping drinks with his wife; she needs some convincing to leave Detroit and join Cross on his next assignment. His proposed method of getting her to come with him? “The National Guard and a drink.” You had me at “the”! He Had to Go Back Fox wholeheartedly embraces his inner Heath-Joker in the “Alex Cross” trailer, playing Michael “The Butcher” Sullivan, a killer who is “fascinated by pain.” Cross determines that Sullivan is “ex-military, special forces, judging by his tactics.” He’s also an Ultimate Fighting Champion, if you can believe it, and has a thing for Doctor Cross’ very pretty wife. It’s an unusual new shade for the actor most commonly associated with good guys Jack Shephard and Charlie Salinger, but it’ll be a fascinating transformation — or train wreck — to behold. Feel the Burns Just don’t get too distracted by Fox’s villainy. Also starring in “Alex Cross” is “Saving Private Ryan” and “Entourage” actor Edward Burns as Cross’ partner, Tommy Kane. It’s weird seeing Burns in a third-tier role at best; as a writer and director by trade, he tends to be somewhat choosy with his acting roles. (Ignore that “27 Dresses” credit.) So I’m calling it now: Burns is the real bad guy pulling Fox’s strings. Then again, I incorrectly called Jeremy Renner as the secret “Mission: Impossible” villain and Jared Harris as a red herring for the real Moriarty in the last “Sherlock Holmes” movie, so take my predictions with a half-cup serving of salt. Matthew Fox and the Chocolate Factory Watch at around the two-minute mark as Fox gets his high-tech Augustus Gloop on. If you need further reasons to see “Alex Cross” when it hits theaters this October, I don’t know what to tell you. To Hell and Back Again “He won’t stop. I’ve seen his face. I’ve heard his voice,” Perry’s Cross warns his wife of Fox’s killer. “I will meet his soul at the gates of Hell before I let him take a person that I love!” If there’s a better alternate ending to “Lost” or the “Madea” films than Tyler Perry and Matthew Fox battling to the death for Satan’s amusement, I haven’t heard of it. The trailer’s action-packed finale is, in a word, surreal, every bit as oddly enjoyable as the promise of Perry versus Fox sounds on paper. This demonic battle of the ages cannot come soon enough. Justin Bieber Comparisons Are ‘Flattering,’ Austin Mahone Says

Many call Texan teen, who built up fanbase on social media, the next Bieber. By Tami Katzoff Austin Mahone Photo: What do you call a group of kids who are so fiercely loyal to their young pop idol that they buy up all available tickets to a show in minutes, journey from far-off locales and park themselves on a sidewalk for hours just so they can get a glimpse of their beloved teenage Texan? Are they Beliebers? Of course not — Justin Bieber is Canadian, not Texan. They’re Mahomies. Mahomies are fans of 16-year-old Austin Mahone, the boy many believe will be crowned the Next Justin. The similarities are there: Both are fresh-faced, drum-playing crooners who built their massive fandom using social media and YouTube. And both are followed everywhere by throngs of screaming girls. But Austin Mahone does something that most fledgling pop stars don’t: When his fans reach out to him, he reaches back. He follows them on Twitter. He keeps them updated on his comings and goings through video posts and Instagrams. He even Skypes with fans, one-on-one (for a fee). “Individually, they all give something to support me, which got me to where I am right now,” Mahone told MTV News. “I just want to give back to them as much as I can and say thank you.” Mahone has no debut album yet and, as of press time, no label on which to release one. He does have two singles, “11:11” and “Say Somethin,” which can be purchased on iTunes. He also has more than 777,000 Twitter followers and nearly half a million Facebook fans. Nicolette Valenti, 14, flew to New York from Boca Raton, Florida, to see Austin’s sold-out show at Best Buy Theater on Friday; she said she would do anything to be around him. “Some girls just like him because he’s cute,” Valenti explained. “But I think he’s really talented.” Mahone’s journey to stardom began two years ago, when he started making videos with his friend Alex Constancio and posting them on YouTube. Then he started doing covers of artists like Bruno Mars, Adele and yes, Justin Bieber. His online fame steadily grew; he began making personal appearances and doing live shows. He’s since relocated from Texas to Miami to work on new music. “Coming from my bedroom in San Antonio to this big world and going from singing covers off my laptop to making music in this nice studio, making professional-sounding music — it’s just weird,” Mahone said. “It’s crazy. I can’t believe that happened.” The inevitable comparisons to Mr. Bieber don’t seem to bother him too much. “I mean, it’s flattering. It’s not that bad of a thing,” he said. “It’s cool because he’s such an inspiration to me and he’s so successful, and I just hope that I’ll be as successful as him someday.” The comparisons do, however, bother many Mahomies. “People say that Austin is the new Justin Bieber — I don’t think that at all,” said 14-year-old Maggie Benzenhafer as she waited on the sidewalk outside the Best Buy Theater. “I think Austin’s going to be the new Austin Mahone.” Related Artists Justin Bieber

Rick Ross And Maybach Crew To Hit ‘RapFix Live’ Wednesday

Wale, Meek Mill, French Montana, Omarion and Stalley will join Rozay in sit-down with Sway Calloway. By Rob Markman Maybach Music Group Photo: Looks like MTV News is going to need a few extra parking passes because Rick Ross will be bringing his entire Maybach Music Group up to “RapFix Live” on Wednesday. Rozay, Wale, Meek Mill, French Montana, Omarion and Stalley will all be in the building to sit and chop it up with host Sway Calloway on a very luxurious episode of “RapFix Live.” On Tuesday (June 26) the MMG crew released their Self Made Vol. 2 label compilation. The LP, led by the T-Pain-assisted single “Bag of Money,” features appearances from Nas, T.I., Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar and Bun B. The compilation sets up a very busy summer for Rozay and his boys. On July 31 Ross will drop his long-awaited God Forgives, I Don’t LP, and Meek Mill is prepping his debut, Dreams and Nightmares, for an August 28 release. French Montana’s Excuse My French is also scheduled to drop later this year. Back in May Ross held a press conference in New York City to announce his label’s release dates and the signing of R&B star and former B2K frontman Omarion. “I think it was a great day for hip-hop. It was a great energy for hip-hop,” Ross told MTV News of the MMG press conference. “When you reflect on hip-hop on a boss level, for the last 10 years, the business of hip-hop has been kinda shaky, it’s been in a decline. … I think this was a new energy that the hip-hop game needed, a momentum change.” The MMG crew members, though mostly known for music, occasionally make a few headlines outside of the studio as well. Most recently Meek Mill’s name came up in reports surrounding the fight between Drake and Chris Brown’s entourages at a New York club on June 14. See what Meek has to say about it all on Wednesday. Catch Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group on “RapFix Live” on Wednesday, June 27, at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com! Related Artists Rick Ross Maybach Music Group
