Enrique Iglesias Says He’ll Water-Ski Nude ‘At Some Point’

‘I’m waiting for a very, very, very dark night,’ the Spain-born pop star jokes to MTV News of honoring World Cup bet. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Enrique Iglesias Photo: MTV News Ladies everywhere — whether soccer fans or not — should have been celebrating Spain’s win in the 2010 World Cup, since the team’s victory means that Enrique Iglesias will now have to make good on his promise to water-ski naked. The singer vowed that if his native country took the Cup, he’d hit the water in the buff. “I was just extremely passionate about the World Cup, and to watch Spain win was just unbelievable,” Iglesias told MTV News on Monday (July 19), opening up as well about his latest album, Euphoria. “What happened is … I’m from Spain and I was rooting for Spain and they lost their first game against Switzerland, so all my friends would call me up and make fun of me … and that’s where that bet came in.” Cheering on his squad paid off for Iglesias (in a sense), but fans are wondering just when they can expect to see the star au naturel? “I’m waiting for a very, very, very dark night and … yep, a bet’s a bet,” he conceded. “At some point, I will have to do it.” If Enrique does go through with it, he’ll probably need to ensure there aren’t any police around first. But for now, he sounded less concerned with law enforcement than with what might be lurking on the beaches of Miami. “Someone told me about that, technically, it is indecent exposure, so I guess you can get arrested for it,” he said. “There was a bunch of [conditions I required for the bet]: I had to be a little drunk. It had to be late, late at night and the thing about the bet, what’s scary is that Miami’s full of sharks, so you don’t want to fall, middle of the night, naked in the ocean. It’s not fun — especially drunk.” Do you want Enrique keep his promise to water-ski in the buff? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Enrique Iglesias

Pusha T Won’t Confirm Or Deny Signing To Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music

Clipse member’s The Fear of God, mixtape happens to be coming out the same day as the rest of ‘Ye’s roster. By Shaheem Reid Pusha T Photo: MTV News We’ve heard G.O.O.D. Music camp members Consequence, Kid Cudi and Big Sean talk about their family’s grand scheme of making September 14 “G.O.O.D. Music Day.” Kanye West and his three signees are all supposed to drop albums that day. But will there be another name added to the fold? The Clipse’s Pusha T is putting out his first solo mixtape, The Fear of God, that day as well, raising speculation that he’s doing it be as part of the Louis Vuitton Don’s roster? “That’s just a good day,” Pusha told MTV News Thursday night in New York at an EA Sports event to promote the game “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.” “A great day for music, but it’s a ‘good’ day,” he said, slyly repeating the word. “I mean, you know. I been to Hawaii. Hawaii is a nice place. Good music is made down there, ya know. So, yeah, I was there. I can’t say too much about that. I think everybody’s gonna be in for a big surprise. A very big surprise.” Hawaii, of course, has been the primary location where Kanye has been making albums for the past several months with his roster of artists. When Pusha was asked straight up if he is signing to West, he answered with a grin, “Who’s to say, man? But the Pusha T solo album is definitely coming out.” His LP won’t be out until February at the earliest. Right now, the focus is on The Fear of God. The VA native is recording both projects simultaneously however. “I just feel like, you know, everybody’s waiting on it,” Pusha said about going solo. “I think it’s time to expand the Re-Up Gang brand. The only way to do that is expand the music. Make the music more diverse. They been seeing the Clipse for a little while. We got our own different perspectives. Myself and Malice. It’s good. It’s good for us to do this and show the world just how our minds work.” Asked to explain why the mixtape is called The Fear of God, he replied, “I feel like a lot of MCs are scared of it. A lot of MCs are scared of a solo project from an MC such as myself. I believe that. I was writing and I felt like, ‘Woooo. I’m gonna invoke the fear of God in these people.’ ” Push already put out two freestyles in the last few days, “Dearly Beloved” and “Bidding War.” “If you haven’t heard it, it’s called ‘Bidding War,’ ” he explained of the latter, where he raps over the beat of Jay Electronica’s “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace.” “Just a day. A day in the studio. It’s a lot going on in my mind right now. The music is flowing, the rhymes is flowing, and you’re gonna keep hearing from me. I’m feeling like a rapper right now. … I haven’t felt like that in a long time I my career. I’m feeling like that. That’s where I am. Let’s go play.” Do you think Pusha T fits in with the G.O.O.D. Lindsay Lohan Spotted At Sober-Living Facility

Actress, who is slated to report to jail next Tuesday, was filmed entering rehab on Wednesday. By Gil Kaufman Less than a week before she’s scheduled to begin a 90-day jail sentence in Los Angeles, Lindsay Lohan has moved into a sober living facility, X17Online.com reports. The site claims that Lohan, 24, was spotted entering the facility in West Hollywood on Wednesday afternoon and was visited later in the day by her mother, sister and ex-girlfriend, DJ Samantha Ronson. In addition to the 90-day jail sentence for probation violation, Lohan was ordered to check into an in-patient rehab facility following her stint in jail. According to TMZ, the troubled actress is in the process of hiring famed O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Shapiro in an attempt to get her sentence either reduced or tossed out in favor of an immediate trip to rehab. Shapiro has not publicly confirmed that he is representing Lohan, and a spokesperson for the “Mean Girls” star could not be reached for comment at press time. Lohan is currently without a lawyer after attorney Shawn Chapman Holley quit last week. X17 posted videos purportedly showing Lohan checking into Pickford Lofts, a sober living facility started by Shapiro in the wake of his son’s drug overdose death in 2005. Another video shows the arrivals of her visitors throughout the day. Lohan, who has been in rehab several times in the past, has been lying low since her sentencing and the scandal that erupted thanks to an obscene message she had airbrushed on her fingernail before her court appearance. She did somewhat break her silence this week by engaging in a Twitter feud with comedian Joan Rivers and addiction specialist Dr. Drew. Do you think Lindsay’s latest move will save her from jail? Amy Winehouse Says New Album Will Be Out By January

Troubled singer promises return to Back to Black sound with ‘a lot of jukebox stuff.’ By Gil Kaufman Amy Winehouse Photo: Martin Fraser/ FilmMagic It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost four years since Amy Winehouse released her Grammy-winning breakthrough album, Back to Black. But after almost two years spent in a wilderness of drugs , divorce , serious health issues , multiple court cases and nonstop personal drama , Winehouse told London’s Metro newspaper that she’s ready to put the spotlight back on her music with a new album she hopes to have out by January. At the premiere of the film “Psychosis,” directed by new boyfriend Reg Traviss, Winehouse, 26, told Metro, “The album will be six months at the most,” noting that the sound will be similar to the retro soul on Black. “It’s going to be very much the same as my second album, where there’s a lot of jukebox stuff and the songs that are … just jukebox, really.” Though she didn’t explain what she meant by “jukebox,” Winehouse has reportedly recorded some tracks on the island of St. Lucia with producer Salaam Remi, who collaborated with her on Black. Winehouse also explained her blunder-filled performance with Mark Ronson last week at London’s 100 Club, in which she appeared to forget the lyrics to the song “Valerie,” from Ronson’s Version covers album. She told Metro that a musical mix-up caused the confusion during the gig. “Mark and I recorded two versions of ‘Valerie,’ ” she said. “We released the one that came out like the Supremes, but I play the other version with my band. When I got there, I completely forgot it was his version we were singing, so I was probably a bit out of sync. It was really fun to be onstage with him, though.” After the gig last week, Ronson said he plans to reteam with Winehouse on the new album, but was waiting until she had at least 10 songs together before hitting the studio with her. In the meantime, they have recorded one song together for an upcoming tribute to music legend Quincy Jones. While her live show has often been iffy at best in the past, Winehouse said she’s excited to have a wider repertoire to choose from when she starts touring for the new album. “I just can’t wait to have some new songs onstage, really.” Winehouse’s spokesperson confirmed to MTV News that the singer is working on new material but said no official release date has been set. Though visa issues appear to be currently holding her up, Winehouse is also reportedly planning to record songs for a supergroup album with the Roots’ drummer, ?uestlove, and Remi. While the group doesn’t have a name yet, ?uest said he plans to sit down and talk with Winehouse soon about laying down some tracks. Are you excited about a new Amy Winehouse album? So pay attention — you don’t want to miss nothing.” Under Ne-Yo and Wayne Isham’s (Madonna, Aaliyah, Adam Lambert) direction, the clips present the singer as a member of a crime-fighting trio called “The Gentlemen.” Ne-Yo is granted otherworldly powers by a mysterious figure (Columbus Short), who assures the three blue-collar workers that their new powers will remain active so long as they don’t fall in love. In “Beautiful Monster,” Ne-Yo is portrayed as a disheveled superhero,

Busta Rhymes Is ‘Indecisive’ About The Chemo Album Title

‘The album is pretty much at the 85, 90 percent mark,’ rapper says of upcoming LP. By Shaheem Reid Busta Rhymes Photo: MTV News Busta Rhymes is sure about the music. He’s just not sure about the album title. The New York veteran has the heater “Stop the Party” with Swizz Beatz out right now; he just dropped the remix featuring Ghostface, T.I., Cam’ron and DMX; and a video directed by Hype Williams is on the way. Both are from his upcoming LP, which he was going to call The Chemo, but now he’s having second thoughts. “To be honest with you, to clear it up, I haven’t given the album title a title yet,” he explained to MTV News recently. “I think what’s creating the back and forth is that I officially had the name of the album as The Chemo, but the selected few ears that I trust that have come in the studio, that heard the [new] album, they have been declaring that’s it’s developing into something that’s feeling like what Extinction Level Event felt like. I thought that was an unbelievable honor to hear that coming from the opinions of the ears that I trust and respect. As artists, you wanna, make sure the co-sign is a never ending co-sign, whenever you’re at a point that you’re ready to share your music or your body of work with the ears that you trust. It felt good to hear that. “For me, I still was leaning towards The Chemo, ” he added. “But the way I’m getting beat up about it, I’m now at an indecisive place. We always try to appease and cater to what the demand is, what the people want. I’m still working. The album is pretty much at the 85, 90 percent mark. Between now and the next three to four weeks, we’re gonna be able to give some confirmation on what it’s gonna be. Stay tuned.” Do you think “The Chemo” is a good album title? Muse Bassist Compares Being On ‘Twilight’ Soundtracks To Selling Soul

Chris Wolstenholme is ambivalent about soundtracks that have boosted his band’s profile in the U.S. By Gil Kaufman Muse’s Chris Wolstenholme Photo: Stuart Wilson/ Getty Images After making millions of potential new fans thanks to the inclusion of their songs on all three “Twilight” soundtrack albums, Muse bassist Chris Wolstenholme may be risking the bloodthirsty wrath of the Twi-Hard Nation with some comments he recently made about the vampire sensation. “I’m not sure how cool it is to be on those kind of things, but sometimes you’ve just got to get your music out there in different ways,” the told BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat column. Even with the films’ box-office success and the massive exposure for the band, which is stadium-rocking huge in Europe but has not yet broken through in the same way in the U.S., Wolstenholme said he’s not sure the trade-off has been worth it. “It’s very difficult in America, because you don’t have anything like Radio 1, nothing is national,” he said. “You have to take every opportunity you get over there, and sometimes you have to sell your soul.” The group’s “Supermassive Black Hole” was the lead track on the original “Twilight” soundtrack — and it played a pivotal role in the key baseball scene in the film — while “I Belong to You (New Moon Remix)” appeared on the “New Moon” disc, and “Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)” is on the “Eclipse” album. “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer is an avowed fan of the drama-loving band and has said that their music inspired her writing, but Wolstenholme appeared ambivalent about how the music has been used in the films. He said he watched the original movie and “quite enjoyed it,” even if it wasn’t his “cup of tea,” but he has not seen the two sequels. When it came time to place “Neutron Star Collision” in “Eclipse,” there appears to have been some confusion over where it would fit in that added to his uneasiness about participating in the project. “When we were in the studio writing it, one minute they said they wanted to use it in the end credits, then they said they wanted to use it in another scene,” he said. “Then it was another scene, and in the end, we were like, ‘Do what you want with it, we don’t care any more.’ ” The comments were a bit of a turnabout from ones drummer Dominic Howard made in October, when he said the band was flattered to be the only group to appear on the first two “Twilight” soundtracks. “It might be something to do with Stephenie Meyer and that she loves us,” Howard told MTV News. “We met her quite awhile ago in Phoenix — it was before ‘Twilight’ came out. She’s a very nice lady and talked about how she listens to our music as she writes her books. This is all way before it turned into this huge success that it is, before everyone went vampire nuts.” At the time, Howard said that inclusion in the “Twilight” franchise had helped Muse reach out to “whole loads of new people that haven’t heard us before. … It’s a nice side project to be involved in.” After pushing back, rearranging and canceling a pair of North American dates due to the impending birth of Wolstenholme’s fifth child, Muse are slated to be back on the road in the U.S. for a September 22 show in San Diego. And the bassist said things are finally breaking through for them stateside. “It’s going great over there,” he said. “Early this year, we started playing in arenas, so it was great to finally take over the full production that we toured with in Europe. … For a long time, America fell by the wayside and nothing was really happening at all, and we were having problems with our record company over there.” But with a full slate of dates through the end of the year, don’t expect a follow-up to last year’s Resistance any time soon. “The touring schedules are so crazy that just the thought of another album is just not even there at the moment,” he said. “I’m sure [singer] Matt [Bellamy] has plenty of ideas, but physically trying to get together and work on stuff is just not possible on tour. … The few days off we do have, we like to go home or go somewhere and chill out. We prefer to keep the two things separate and not try and think too much about recording when we’re touring.” What do you think of Chris’ comments about “Twilight”? Sound off in the comments.
