The Bachelor in Paradise: Spinoff Coming This Summer to ABC!

The Bachelor is introducing a new spinoff this summer, entitled Bachelor in Paradise … seriously. ABC will air a six-episode season after The Bachelorette finale. The show will be similar in format to ABC’s Bachelor Pad, which was canceled last year, only Bachelor in Paradise will be filmed in a tropical destination. The network confirmed the spinoff to EW in a statement: “The romantic dating series will feature new twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in Bachelor history.” “Plus the usual romance, drama and tears we’ve come to expect from The Bachelor franchise. It all comes together in the romantic TV event of the summer.” Bachelor in Paradise stars will be based in a remote “romantic paradise,” where they will compete to find their true loves, or at least a hot hookup. Naturally, ABC is expected to bring back villains and fan favorites from prior seasons to compete against and possibly find significant others. No, Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell won’t be on it … we don’t think. As on The Bachelor, the spinoff will include a rose ceremony, although the format may be slightly different from the weekly sending home of a star. Details are scarce, but we’ll find them out soon enough. After Andi Dorfman is done with her emotional and romantic “journey” this summer, we’ll head to Paradise for even more Bachelor shenanigans. Who would you like to see on the franchise’s spinoff? The Bachelor Couples: Are They Still Together? Open Slideshow 1. Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum are married. Desiree Hartsock Wedding Dress: First Look!

When former Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock walks down the aisle this summer, she will do so in a custom wedding dress that she personally designed! Desiree’s keeping her wedding date under wraps, but did admit to Us that she’s currently co-designing not one but two dresses with label Maggie Sottero. A ” timeless, yet surprising ” silhouette for the vows and a “1920s-inspired” reception frock will mark the day in which she marries Chris Siegfried … “I can’t wait for Chris to see me in all the dresses!” the bridal stylist, who moved from her native Colorado to Seattle to be with Siegfried, says of her man. The Bachelorette beauty, who creates gowns for her clients from her home, didn’t start designing her own masterpiece until much later, she says. “It feels like it was 10 years ago!” she says of her run on The Bachelorette , which followed Sean Lowe rejecting her in favor of now-wife Catherine Giudici. Safe to say that worked out for the best for everyone involved. “It’s funny if people bring up things that happened on the show, because it feels like it was a decade ago because we’re just living our life now.” “We’ll reminisce about Germany or what we did in Antigua,” Desiree Hartsock says, “but for the most part we’re just focusing on making new memories.” While many Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants have televised their weddings on ABC, she remains undecided about the scale of her nuptials. “I think I want it to be more low key than people expect – a small ceremony – and just the essentials,” she predicts. “I’m just excited to be designing my dress!” As for Nikki Ferrell designing her dress for her wedding to Juan Pablo … we would bet a great deal of money against that scenario coming to fruition. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici: Grilled in Premarital Sex Polygraph Test!

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici tied the knot Sunday night, and shortly thereafter, were grilled about whether they really waited until then to have sex. Not just grilled, but put to the ultimate test – a polygraph test – by Jimmy Kimmel. Seriously. The couple took a lie detector test ahead of their live ABC wedding on Sunday night, and the talk show announced the results on Monday’s show. So, did they really abstain from sex for their entire 16-month relationship, from their engagement on The Bachelor until they tied the knot last weekend? Find out in the funny clip from Kimmel’s show below … Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici Lie Detector Test Gotta give Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici credit for talking the talk and walking the walk, although we’d have to imagine they’re glad it’s finally over. After seeing her lingerie photo that she posted as a preview of that special experience, we’d also imagine Sean’s debut likely wasn’t too drawn out. Nikki Farrell: The Bachelor Frontrunner Already?

The Bachelor’s 18th season on ABC is just a few episodes old, but already, one Bachelorette looks to be rising to the top of the competition: Nikki Farrell. To those avid readers of The Bachelor spoilers , this is not surprising. We won’t give away too much here, but you can follow the link to learn more. What we will say is that she’s not getting sent home anytime soon, which should be obvious if you’ve observed how she makes Juan Pablo Galavis swoon. Juan Pablo’s reception of her during the season premiere ( watch The Bachelor online to see that and the next two episodes) appeared to set the tone. The 26-year-old, blonde Missouri native, a pediatric nurse and part-time model, did not secure the first impression rose, she was noticed for sure. Nikki Farrell presented him with a stethoscope so that he could “hear how nervous and excited she was.” JPG was excited too, not-so-subtly feeling her up. In each of the next two weeks, she’s won the group date rose, no doubt sparking jealousy among the rest of the women … and that’s only the beginning. Soothsayer Reality Steve suggests that Farrell may just turn out to be the “villain” – the least liked woman in the house on Season 18 of The Bachelor . If she also won the final rose, it would make her a member of an exclusive club with the likes of Vienna Girardi, Shayne Lamas and Courtney Robertson. None of whom stayed engaged to The Bachelor , it’s worth noting. It remains to be seen if Nikki Farrell makes it all the way, or whether she (or whomever wins this season) stays together with Juan Pablo Galavis . We would have to bet against that, if only because of statistics. The track record just isn’t good, despite a recent uptick. Here’s a look at recent Bachelor and Bachelorette couples and whether they’re still together … The Bachelor Couples: Are They Still Together? Open Slideshow 1. Ashley Hebert & J.P. Rosenbaum Honeymoon Pics: Bora Bora Bliss!

Bachelor Nation is rallying behind Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici . Or so it would appear, given a pair of news stories in the last day: Jason and Molly Mesnick welcoming their first child, a baby girl. Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum sharing honeymoon pics! It’s as if these couples – two huge success stories from the ABC franchise – are trying to prove to Sean and Cat that it is possible to beat the odds. Nearly three months after their wedding, Ashley and J.P. are going strong. The pair jetted off to French Polynesia for their honeymoon on February 17. “We were both on the same page – beaches, bikinis, and Bellinis!” she told Us . Maybe … not convinced, but not writing them off. No chance. I don’t see the connection! View Poll »
