There are lots of reasons why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky in superstitious folklore, but let’s be real: Friday the 13th is a pretty awesome day. There’s really nothing to be afraid of, and we’re here to make your reaction to Friday the 13th less fearful. And more fierce. First of all, c’mon everyone. It’s Friday! The best day of the whole damn week. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were born on Friday the 13th. Those girls are freakin’ set for life. Maybe it means good luck after all. In fact, Italian culture considers 13 a lucky number. Black cats are actually the cutest. The day is nothing more than an excuse to watch the original Friday the 13th movie, which is pretty great. It’s just sooo ’80s. Tonight you have something to toast to while you’re binge drinking. So go ahead and enjoy your day. Netflix’s “Full House” spin-off “Fuller House” has wrapped its first season, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen didn’t change their minds about skipping out on the series.
So, Brandon Howard says he is Michael Jackson’s secret son. He claims he has, and will reveal, hard DNA evidence to prove this bombshell claim as well. The 31-year-old is the son of Miki Howard, who Michael’s father Joe Jackson used to represent back in the ’80s. So he does have history with the family. Brandon claims that Michael Jackson met his mother, Miki, in 1982 and got her pregnant fairly quickly. He certainly didn’t come forward quickly, however. Why now? Brandon Howard claims that he’s only recently acquired the DNA evidence, which he purports to be from an old orthodontic device Michael used to wear. We can’t imagine how he came across that, nor do we want to know, but he insists the DNA test results are a match, and he will reveal the results today. At FilmOn (dot) com. That doesn’t reek of a gigantic publicity stunt or anything. Not that he necessarily cares as long as he gets his 15 minutes of fame with this Hail Mary pass. Which has to be what this is, right?! Nor will it be the last, we’re guessing. Remember Omer Bhatti ? Or the rumor that MJ is not the biological father of Prince, Blanket OR Paris Jackson and that Arnold Klein, Macaulay Culkin or others did the honors? So many secret sons and parents. So little shame.
Man, that Full House cast has had it rough. Jodie Sweetin got addicted to meth . Ashley Olsen developed an eating disorder . Candice Cameron Bure’ got Kirk-Cameroned. Blake McIver, who played Michelle’s friend Derek Boyd on Full House and rich kid Waldo in The Little Rascals , went from down-on-his luck vocal coach to selfie-loving Go-Go dancer . He makes a great Superman, don’t you think? McIver, 28, isn’t at all ashamed of his profession. In fact, he says he’s “found it liberating and empowering.” After being bullied while attending a Christian high school, McIver’s self-esteem suffered. “I had so much shame about my body,” he said. “I’m not hiding my body anymore.” (Please don’t hide it, Blake!) McIver says that he nearly became a “gay teen suicide statistic” at age 14 but turned to music and his loved ones to keep himself going. According to a letter sent this week to Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France champion is facing new charges from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency that threaten to strip him of those titles.
