Did Caitlyn Jenner Steal An ESPY Award From Amputee Veteran Athlete Noah Galloway? As news of Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlyn continues to make waves around the world, there hare been a wide range of responses , from supportive to not so much so… But some of the most outraged reactions appear to be over the announcement that Caitlyn will receive The Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPY’s — particularly after rumors hit Twitter that a very accomplished disabled vet had been passed over for the award: According to Snopes reports — the source of the rumors appear to be this man — who also happens to think Bruce picked a stupid name. So, what’s the real story? Did Caitlyn shimmy past Noah to the front of the line for the ESPY or nah? Via Snopes: In a statement dated 2 June 2015, ESPN executive producer Maura Mandt said of their decision to recognize Jenner with an ESPY: Bruce [Jenner] has received many accolades over the years for being one of the greatest Olympians of our time, but The ESPYS are honored to celebrate Bruce becoming Caitlyn. She has shown the courage to embrace a truth that had been hidden for years, and to embark on a journey that may not only give comfort to those facing similar circumstances, but can also help to educate people on the challenges that the transgender community faces. Jenner was quoted in the release as well, citing Arthur Ashe (the African-American tennis star for whom the ESPY Courage Award was named) as a personal hero of hers. (Incidentally, the document also stated that Jenner’s transition from Bruce to Caitlyn officially occurred on 15 March 2015): In the past few months, the overwhelming outpouring of support from all over the world for my journey has been incredible. However, being honored with this award, which is named after one of my heroes, is truly special. For the first time this July, I will be able to stand as my true self in front of my peers. However, none of the content of ESPN’s press release mentioned Noah Galloway (or Lauren Hill) by name as possible contenders for the 2015 Arthur Ashe Courage Award. The idea that Galloway was specifically passed over in favor of Jenner appeared to have stemmed from a joke made by a Twitter user (who also mocked Jenner’s choice of name). While it’s true Jenner is set to receive the ESPY award in question in July 2015, it does not appear any “runner up” was announced or bypassed in favor of Jenner. More likely is a scenario under which ESPN held their press release until Jenner had publicly revealed her new name and likeness, at which time the network (in a manner likely predetermined based on Jenner’s pending announcement) released a document containing information that was up until that day closely protected. There you have it folks. Don’t get your panties or boxer briefs in a knot. Caitlyn has been the intended winner of the Arthur Ashe all along. Ray Rice Considers Legal Action Over Loss Of NFL Contract Ray Rice is fighting back against the NFL’s indefinite suspension and the cancellation of his contract by the Baltimore Ravens in response to his brutal knockout of his then-fiancee and current wife Janay Palmer. Apparently he feels like he’s getting punished twice for the same offense, and it just isn’t fair. Much like being hit twice in the face … Via DailyMail : Ray Rice is fighting back against the NFL one week after video of him punching his then-fiancée Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City casino elevator went public. Rice, 27, is expected to file an appeal with the help of the NFL Players’ Association and an outside attorney later today, claiming he notified both the Baltimore Ravens and the NFL about his altercation back in June of this year. The running back was originally just handed down a two-game suspension as a result of his actions in July for violating the NFL personal conduct policy. Rice must file his appeal by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, three business days after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell officially notified the players’ union of his indefinite suspension. Sources tell The Baltimore Sun that the football star is also considering possible legal action following his increased discipline from the league, feeling that he has been punished twice for the same offense. In his letter to the Player’s Association on Friday explaining Rice’s new punishment, Goodell wrote, ‘This video shows a starkly different sequence of events from what you and your representatives stated when we met on June 16, and is important new information that warrants reconsideration of the discipline imposed on you in July.’ The commissioner added, ‘Based on this new information, I have concluded that the discipline imposed upon you in July was insufficient under all the circumstances and have determined instead to impose an indefinite suspension.’ There has been some debate however over how much Goodell knew of the situation prior to last Monday, with one anonymous New Jersey law enforcement official saying last week he personally sent a tape of the incident to an NFL executive in April. Multiple sources close to Rice also back up the story that the athlete was honest and upfront about the events that took place in that elevator last February when he met with Goodell in June. Furthermore, under Article 46, Section 4 of the NFL collective bargaining agreement, it states, ‘The Commissioner and a Club will not both discipline a player for the same act or conduct. The Commissioner’s disciplinary action will preclude or supersede disciplinary action by any Club for the same act or conduct.’ Prior to his suspension by the NFL Monday afternoon, Rice had his five-year, $35 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens terminated, losing $3.529 million in salary for the season.

I’ve been calling Kate Upton a pic since day one. I have been getting hate mail for calling Kate Upton a pig since day one. I was just fascinated how someone with average looks and a really shitty body could get as far as she did. Then I found out that her grandfather invented the Washing Machine, that she was rich as fuck, and I guess rich girls know people, and those people, hooked a sister up… So all my seemingly hateful things I said about Kate Upton, were really me just trying to make sense of her. Knowing tits that big would have a belly and ass that would catch up…but maybe, just maybe she’d take all the criticism to heart, stop eating, start working out and really show kids how to be hot and healthy all at the same time… But apparently, she was more into the cash grab, take all the jobs she can get and then land a pro Athlete, because they run in the same circles, seeing as she’s a Sports Illustrated model…then settle down and have kids because despite saying she’s 22, she has the body of a 38 year old about to use up her last egg… But here she is, walking the streets for the paparazzi…in what looks like Maternity wear….up on some Roseanne Barr during the fat years kick… Is it possible that she’s pregnant, or is she just fat? Who Knows. Who Cares…well I guess Justin Verlander from the Detroit Tigers does…. If you’re going to bet on anything, bet on the Detroit Tigers who are shown on Sports Book Review as 2-1 favorites tonight and not whether Kate Upton is Fat or Pregnant, because even if she’s pregnant – she’s still too fat to be a top model and with every picture taken of her – she mocks the entire industry.
