Russian athletes Tatyana Firova and Kseniya Ryzhova kissed at the World Athletics Championships last weekend, possibly as a message to their government. Neither athlete has released a statement, but some say it was political – a subtle, yet high-profile violation of the anti-gay law passed by Russia ‘s parliament this year. The two women could, theoretically, be prosecuted for their public lip-lock, since it could be perceived as “propagating non-traditional sexual relations.” Was that precisely the point of the public embrace? Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko addressed the commotion over the “gay propaganda” law Sunday, blaming the media for blowing it out of proportion. “I think this is kind of an invented problem,” he told reporters. “We don’t have a law banning non-traditional sexual relations, we have a different law.” Do they, though? Russian authorities recently confirmed that athletes and spectators visiting the city will be required to abide by the country’s laws, including its anti-gay legislation. However, Mutko said visitors in Sochi will still be “granted all rights and freedoms,” and threats to boycott the games are unlikely to come to fruition. Still, don’t expect you’ve heard the last of Russian’s policy toward gays, which many consider regressive, as the quadrennial event draws nearer.

Double the bundle …double the fun. Kim Zolciak Expecting Twins According to US Magazine Set two extra places at the table, because Kim Zolciak is having twins! The Real Housewives of Atlanta star will be having not one, but two bundles of joy with her fifth pregnancy, a source confirms to Us Weekly (E! was the first to break the news). “Kim is having a lot of anxiety about her pregnancy, she’s completely changed her ways,” the source tells Us. “She’s reached out to some nutritionists and other specialists about staying healthy as of recent.” Earlier this year, the reality star — who is already mother to sons KJ, 2, and Kash, 12 months, with husband Kroy Biermann, as well as daughters Brielle, 16, and Ariana, 12, from a previous relationship — shared a photo of her very pregnant belly in sweats, captioning the snap, “You asked for it … here is my baby bump this morning!” Zolciak confirmed the pregnancy during a June 25 episode of her Bravo spinoff series Don’t Be Tardy after Us Weekly first broke the news earlier that month. “Pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant, pregnant,” she read off the results from several at-home pregnancy tests to her footballer husband, 27. “Kroy, we have not one negative test.” Her pregnancy comes just nine months after the birth of Kash, who was born just 14 months after big brother KJ. “How exciting is that, love muffin?” she exclaimed as she hugged the Atlanta Falcons player. “You did it again, lovey … Are you excited, love muffin? It must be the athlete sperm.” Zolciak, 35, “loves being pregnant,” another source told Us in June. “She really wants a little girl.” Kim will be poppin’out Kroy’s seeds until she is 60. It’s official… and it’s beautiful. In an interview with E! News this week, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak goes into detail about all she loves about husband Kroy Biermann, starting with the fact that he’s legally adopted her daughters Brielle, 16, and Ariana, 12. “I don’t know if I could love anybody else’s children as much as Kroy loves the girls,” Zolciak says . “I just don’t know if I have it in me.” The reality star also says she wasn’t looking for a relationship when she met the Atlanta Falcons defense end, but she just couldn’t resist the athlete’s rear end. “When I saw his butt, I have never in my life seen a butt like that,” she said. “But again I didn’t really think anything. I just thought, ‘Wow he’s got a really cute butt and a million-dollar smile.’ I love big wide smiles. His energy was great, but ‘OK, I’m filming, I’m working, I gotta go’ and that was my mindset.” But one thing led to another, her girls fell for Biermann and here they are, expecting yet another child together. Says Kroy: “My house isn’t going to be as clean as it was before, but it’s not important. Those things are not important and it’s all about prioritizing and understanding.”

NFL star turned murder suspect Aaron Hernandez is believed to have rented a secret “flop house” near his home for storage, according to police. After Hernandez was charged with first-degree murder for the execution-style shooting of Odin Lloyd , more and more information has come out. The latest revelation? A $1,200/month apartment he leased in Franklin, Mass., with boxes of ammunition and other items of interest inside. Police found out about it from Carlos Ortiz, one of Hernandez’s friends, who said he was with the athlete the night he allegedly made plans to shoot Lloyd. Articles of clothing recovered from the apartment are similar to what Hernandez had worn the night of the crime, June 17, according to law enforcement. A sweatshirt found there could be used to assist in linking Hernandez to the scene of the crime, while a hat could help establish his recent whereabouts. Among the most intriguing items seized from the flop house: A white hoodie “consistent in color and type with the sweatshirt Hernandez is observed to be wearing on surveillance cameras” the night of the homicide. A red baseball cap worn by Hernandez to a club the night before. Officials say Hernandez’s anger at Lloyd could’ve been sparked by an incident there. Five boxes of .45 ammunition (the caliber of the shells found on Lloyd’s body), five boxes of rifle ammunition, and one box of .22-caliber ammunition. Lloyd was dumped at an industrial complex about a mile from Hernandez’s home in North Attleboro, Mass., not far from the apartment he leased. A theory regarding Aaron Hernandez’s motive was that Lloyd inside information about Hernandez’s role in a 2012 double-homicide in Boston. He is considered a person of interest in those two additional murders . Hernandez’s attorneys say the items recovered from the Franklin apartment is circumstantial, while he’s eager to clear his name from the murder charge. The all-star tight end was cut loose from the New England Patriots and his five-year, $40 million contract immediately following his arrest for Lloyd’s murder. He recently welcomed his first child with fiancee Shayanna Jenkins .
