Big Boi of the legendary group OutKast celebrated his Crown Royal Black partnership in true ATL fashion recently at Door 44 in Atlanta. Fellow ATLlien rappers Killer Mike (aka Mike Bigga) and Pill were on hand to celebrate and perform with Sir Licious Left Foot to a packed crowd in Midtown. Calling Bishop Eddie Long his “friend” and “brother in the Lord,” World Changers Church pastor Creflo Dollar scolded former New Birth Missionary Baptist Church members, saying they need to return to New Birth. He added that if any ex-New Birth members were thinking of joining his College Park megachurch, they need to look elsewhere. Dollar’s sermon is also being criticized for comparing the sexual misconduct charges Bishop Eddie Long faced to a car wreck and having insurance. No stranger to controversy himself, Dollar’s Creflo Dollar Ministries received a grade of “F” for financial transparency by the organization MinistryWatch . “The View” co-host Sherri Shepherd went into an emotional tirade on air about Bishop Eddie Long recently. She believes emphatically that Long took the “coward road” when he settled the sexual misconduct charges against him and sealed the records so that the details will never be revealed. She brought up the issue of single mothers and the fact that they are often prey for ministers. Sherri became emotionally involved because she is a single Christian mother herself who also has a son and she trusts her church would give her son the proper guidance. Georgia Ranked Among Top 5 States For Film, TV Production

Georgia is now considered one of the top five states in the country for film and TV production with more than 274 projects shot in the state since July 2010, reports the AJC.com . TV shows shot in Georgia include BET’s “The Game,” MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” the Discovery Channel’s “Auction Kings” and AMC’s critically-acclaimed hit shot “The Walking Dead,” which is currently filming its second season in metro Atlanta. “The Walking Dead” is also set in Atlanta. Movies filmed in the Georgia are premiering throughout the summer and fall. They include this weekend’s “X-Men: First Class” to October’s remake of “Footloose.” Other Georgia-based films slated to be released include “The Change-Up” starring Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman and “Wanderlust” with Jennifer Anniston and Paul Rudd.
