Jesus Take The Wheel: Army Reports That U.S. Soliders Are Committing More Violent Sex Crimes Than Ever!

For those you with Armed Forces friends and family, please pay attention… Violent sex crimes committed by active U.S. Army soldiers have almost doubled over the past five years, due in part to the trauma of war, according to an Army report released on Thursday. Reported violent sex crimes increased by 90 percent over the five-year period from 2006 to 2011. There were 2,811 violent felonies in 2011, nearly half of which were violent felony sex crimes. Most were committed in the United States. One violent sex crime was committed by a soldier every six hours and 40 minutes in 2011, the Army said, serving as the main driver for an overall increase in violent felony crimes. Higher rates of violent sex crimes are “likely outcomes” of intentional misconduct, lax discipline, post-combat adrenaline, high levels of stress and behavioral health issues, the report said. There is no excusing this kind of behavior whatsoever, but as we saw last week, soldiers may be dealing with mental health issues that may severely affect their judgment and attitude. The top five violent felony offenses committed by soldiers in 2011 were aggravated assault, rape, aggravated sexual assault, forcible sodomy and child pornography. Soldiers suffering from issues such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury, and depression have been shown to have higher incidences of partner abuse, according to the report. Soldiers with PTSD are up to three times more likely to be aggressive with their female partners than those without such trauma, the report said. This is as sad as it is disturbing. If you have Armed Forces members amongst your family or friends, encourage them to seek counseling and treatment if they appear to be having trouble readjusting to civilian life. On The Come Up: Vanessa Bryant Strikes Gold In Divorce Settlement! But Did She Get As Much As You Thought She Would?

Does Vanessa get inducted into the ex-wife Hall of Fame for divorce settlements?? Not quite, but she still scored BIG! According to TMZ reports : Kobe Bryant’s wife Vanessa is the big winner in their divorce property settlement … TMZ has learned. Sources connected to the couple and with direct knowledge of the situation tell TMZ … the property settlement agreement is signed, sealed and delivered — a done deal. Vanessa is walking away with $75 million, which we’re told represents close to half of their total assets, estimated at around $150 million. TMZ previously reported several transfers of property earlier this year between Kobe and Vanessa. It turns out, based on the property settlement, Vanessa scored a clean sweep, snagging ALL THREE of the former couple’s mansions in the Newport Beach area. Vanessa gets the estate the couple was living in, the estate her mom is living in, and she gets the new estate that had been under construction for 2 years and was just completed. We were told Kobe was moving into the new estate, but that’s not true. It’s Vanessa’s crib, lock stock and barrel. Vanessa just scored 3 … where it counts. We’re sure Vanessa is overjoyed with her new-found riches however… “Beyotch you wasn’t with him shootin’ in the GYM!!” Hate it or love it??? More On Bossip! Childish Gambino’s ‘Heartbeat’ Video Fits Song’s ‘Mood’

‘Fans should be able to check this out and just see my visualization of the song,’ ‘Community’ star-turned-rapper tells MTV News. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Ross McAlpine Childish Gambino Photo: MTV News Don’t call Childish Gambino ‘s upcoming “Heartbeat” clip a video; rather, it’s a reflection of how the actor-turned-rapper was feeling when he recorded it. “I do not really have a set of things in mind. I thought the best way to convey the feeling that’s in the song was to be confused ourselves,” Childish Gambino, a.k.a. “Community” star Donald Glover, told MTV News last week during a break from filming the clip in Van Nuys, California. “I guess when it’s all said and done, fans should be able to check this out and just see my visualization of the song.” “Heartbeat” — from CG’s debut album, Camp — is an electrified breakup song equipped with pulsating drums and buzzing synth chords. The rapper, who is better known (for now) for his role as Troy Barnes on “Community,” enlisted director Kyle Newacheck to shoot the visual. Newacheck directed an episode of the NBC comedy back in 2009. In the month leading up to his November release, Childish told MTV News that Camp was a “labor of love.” With the independently released LP, Gambino aimed to tell a story. “The biggest compliment I can give it is that I like it more than everything else I’ve done,” he said. “I think it’s a cohesive piece, and I wanted to tell a whole story with it. Hopefully, the whole album is like a book or a novel where [there’s] a through line.” “Heartbeat” is simply a chapter in that story, and its video will be reflective. “This is kinda like the mood of the song,” Gambino said. “I wouldn’t say it’s so much a video as much as it is just a mood.” What are you expecting from Childish’s “Heartbeat” video? Wale: ‘I Still Support’ Pill Despite MMG Split

‘I believe in Pill, and I’m sure Rozay believes in Pill, and we wish him the best,’ Wale tells MTV News of former Maybach Music comrade. By Rob Markman Wale Photo: MTV News There is no love lost between Maybach Music and Pill . Earlier this month, the Atlanta MC dropped a bomb when he revealed that he was working to terminate his deal with Warner Music Group and leave Rick Ross ‘ Maybach Music crew. There isn’t any beef with Wale , though; the D.C. spitter told MTV News he still supports his former MMG comrade. “Personal is personal, business is business. I’m friends with people that I’ve fired, so I’ve been in the game long enough to understand [you need to] separate the two,” Wale said Wednesday when he walked the red carpet for the reopening of Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club in New York. “So shout-out to Pill and what he’s doin’.” On December 28, Pill vented via Twitter , criticizing his label for not providing enough television and radio support. Though the “Trap Goin’ Ham” MC was featured heavily on Maybach’s 2011 Self Made Vol. 1 compilation, on January 3, he told MTV News he was never actually signed to Ross’ label. According to Pill, his recording contract was with MMG’s parent label, Warner Bros. Still, P-I-Double-L was included on a number of label-driven projects, appearing on the October XXL cover with Ross and company as well as a May 2011 episode of “RapFix Live” with Rozay, Wale and Meek Mill. In the end, however, things just didn’t work out. Though Pill is obviously frustrated, he maintains that he doesn’t harbor any ill will toward anyone in MMG. “I ain’t got nothing against none of them, nobody. It’s just the situation don’t work,” Pill said matter-of-factly. “I still support what he’s doin’; it just didn’t work out on the business side,” Wale echoed. “Everybody gets chances, though. Everybody gets second, third, fourth, fifth chances. I believe in Pill, and I’m sure Rozay believes in Pill, and we wish him the best.” What do you think of Wale’s support for Pill despite the MMG split? Tell us in the comments! Related Artists Wale

Big Boi, Killer Mike, Pill Collabo Album In The Works

‘Them two are rap greats and for them two to actually want to do a project with me, it’s unbelievable,’ Pill tells ‘RapFix Live.’ By Rob Markman Big Boi Photo: Jay West/ WireImage Pill ‘s situation with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group may not have worked out, but the Atlanta spitter has his eyes set on a collaborative project with Killer Mike and OutKast’s Big Boi . “We working, we thinking about dropping a tape, honestly ’cause me and Big and all us we done did records already,” Pill told “RapFix Live.” “We thinking about droppin’ a tape and then droppin’ an album.” In February 2011, Killer Mike revealed that he, Big Boi and Pill were forming a group, which is still unnamed . There isn’t much in the way of details, but Pill insists that the trio is putting something together. “We already workin’, we getting’ it in. It’s a full-time grind,” he said. “Them two are rap greats and for them two to actually want to do a project with me, it’s unbelievable.” The “Trap Goin’ Ham” rapper made headlines earlier this week when he revealed to MTV News that despite his close affiliation with Rozay’s MMG label and appearing on his Self Made compilation, Pill was never technically signed to Maybach. The MC, who charges that MMG’s parent label, Warner Music Group (to which he is currently signed), never gave him a fair push on radio or TV. He is now looking to be released from Warner. Still, Pill is far from being in the dumps. In the coming weeks, Pillionaire plans to drop his solo mixtape The Epidemic and then, of course, is the project with Killer Mike and Big Boi, which he is excited about. While Pill does acknowledge Mike’s and Big’s respective greatness, he makes it clear that he is no slouch on the mic. “For other people to try to think that I’m not lyrical enough or I’m not as good a rapper — you got guys that everybody looks up to as rappers doin’ a project with me,” he said. “So you know I’m just ready for that sh– to actually take off so we can show people what hip-hop look like in the flesh.” Are you looking forward to Pill’s group album with Big Boi and Killer Mike? Pill Says He Never Signed To Rick Ross’ Maybach Music

‘I ain’t got nothing against none of them, nobody,’ rapper tells MTV News of the label. By Rob Markman Rick Ross and Pill Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage Pill has caused quite the stir. Last week, after the Atlanta rapper took to Twitter to vent about his label situation , speculation began to swirl that P-I-Double L was dropped from the Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Warner Bros. distributed-label. But seeing as Pill was never technically signed to MMG, that isn’t necessarily the case. “I never signed any paperwork with Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already,” Pill revealed to MTV News Tuesday. According to the “Trap Goin’ Ham” MC, he was signed to Asylum/Warner Bros. Records at the end of 2009, a year before Ross brought his MMG label over to Warner Music Group. Pill says he is unaware of any conversations that Warner and Ross ever had concerning his career, but started receiving calls from Rozay around this time last year. The calls turned into collaborations — many of which ended up on Self Made Vol. 1 , Ross’ MMG label compilation album. It was alluded that Pill was officially a part of Rozay’s roster, along with Wale, Meek Mill and a host of other artists, but that wasn’t the case, the rapper says. During his December 28 Twitter rant, Pill, who made a name for himself with independently released singles like “Ok Denn,” criticized Warner, charging that they didn’t give him the proper push on radio and television. “I bet u can name you favorite artist and the turn on the tv and see the video and hear it on the radio. It’s not rocket science,” he wrote. Pill was particularly disappointed that “Pac Man,” his single from Self Made Vol.1 didn’t get a push, even after noted rappers 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti and Meek Mill were added to the song’s remix. “To have all that set in stone, I thought it would’ve been pushed a little bit harder, went a little bit further, but it didn’t,” he said. Maybach did include Pill on a number of label-driven initiatives, he admits. He was on the October 2011 XXL magazine group cover, appeared on “RapFix Live” with MMG in May 2011 and took part in the pre-taped crew cypher during BET’s Hip Hop Awards but was noticeably absent when Ross, Wale and Meek Mill performed during the actual ceremony. “I never really went on tour with them; I never really did anything with them,” Pill said. “The only time I performed on tour with them is when it stopped in Atlanta. They still showed love to a n—a when it was time to go to Vegas, or Cali, you know, whatever the label had put together for us to be on as a whole.” Currently the rapper’s lawyers are attempting to dissolve the Warner contract, and as for MMG, Pill insists he harbors no ill will and is grateful for the exposure that Ross has given him — even though he doesn’t remember the last time he and the Bawse spoke. “I ain’t got nothing against none of them, nobody. It’s just the situation don’t work,” Pill said matter-of-factly. “It’s cool with us, I don’t got nothing against Ross either. It’s just I don’t talk to him. “I ain’t really got too much to say to somebody that ain’t got too much to say to me. I’m not a brownnose, I ain’t a punk ass n—a and I’m not finna go trying to chase behind somebody that ain’t sayin’ nothing to me.” Related Artists Rick Ross
