My momma said y’all hang out on the porch all day cuz y’all lights off. pic.twitter.com/CdybGJ30n3 — Greeze Halpert (@DeeGreezy) July 10, 2018 Cardi B might be one of the world’s biggest superstars at the moment, but she let the world know her sense of humor is perfectly intact. A photo of a five-year-old Bardi B affectionately known as Belcalis Almanzar at the time hit the web. Immediately, the internet took the photo and did what it did best and memed the hell out of it. The throwback photo of the “Bodak Yellow” rapper sparked the creation of hilarious “My Mommy Says” memes that were so good even Cardi had to share some via her IG page. One of the memes she shared was hilariously and accurately captioned “My momma said Y’all have to play with me,” and Cardi stating under it “Yaaaa annoying for this Leave five-year-old Belcalis alone .” Those weren’t the only ones either, from young Cardi not being able to “sit down cuz Y’all got roaches” or becoming a medallion on her husband’s chain the internet’s cleverness was on full display. @iamcardib Every Meme With Yo Picture Be Funny pic.twitter.com/YU2qS3Tnau — wodaeee. Desus & Mero Says Viceland Low-Balled Them, Says Company Booted Them Early

See the rest here:

Source: Patricia Schlein/WENN.com / WENN By now, the journey of Desus & Mero going from Twitter’s most-retweeted funnymen to media darlings is known to most. After the ending of their popular show on Viceland, it has since come out that the network pulled the plug two months early on the pair, who both suggest that they were largely undervalued. In an exclusive sit-down with Bossip after appearing together at the Atlanta Symphony Hall, the Bodega Boys told their side of the story involving the end of their time up at Viceland. From Bossip : “Can I just be messy off the rip right now?” Desus began. “Vice has us for 2 more months….we did not leave Vice, Vice ended our contract. They were in their feelings because we were leaving.” He continued, explaining, “We could still be doing the show, and it bothers me because now people are tagging us like ‘do this, do this, what would your reactions be for this?’ and I’m like, ‘yo wow, what would my reaction be?’” Mero summed up the situation succinctly: “Don’t cut off your nose to spite your face.” The pair added in the chat that Viceland wanted them to shoot 160 episodes per year and to not take a vacation as it tanked their ratings. Desus and Mero’s show, by their account, was the network’s highest-rated show and the online chatter surrounding them certainly signified that. For their part, Desus and Mero don’t seem bitter about the split and instead are poised to keep giving Bodega Hive the content they’ve come to know and love. — Photo: WENN

Killer Mike Calls Nas “One Of The Greatest MC’s In The World”

Source: Kevin Winter / Getty While Killer Mike is a formidable talent in his own right, he gives props where props are due. He recently gave Queensbridge’s finest, Nas , high praise. In the newest episode of Netflix’s  Rapture  series,  Nas’ historic career is highlighted. The “One Mic” rapper is visited in a session where Mike Bigga is recording his portion of the soundtrack, leading to an insightful exchange between the two and Nas giving Mike praise. Billboard Magazine  caught up with the Atlanta native to discuss God Son’s legacy. “Nas is truly one of the greatest lyricists to ever come out of Queens, which has produced more great MC’s than any other borough. He’s one of the greatest emcees of my lifetime and in the world. He’s also a friend. So, for him to say that, I really appreciate it.” Mike also shared some words of wisdom Jones gave him during the studio visit. “The best advice that I’ve gotten from Nas is honestly to just be me and to keep staying true to myself,” he revealed. “It took me a long time to figure out how to pop, but then, when you get famous, people are kind of like, ‘Oh, well, we don’t want as much of you.’ Nas really taught me to keep being intelligent, keep being street, keep being unapologetic about it and keep being down for the people.” You can listen to the track in question “Black Power, White Powder” below.
