Hugh Jackman has taken to Internet to deliver an important lesson: Not even Wolverine is immune from skin cancer. The Oscar nominee posted a photo to Instagram today that shows him with a bandaged nose because he recently had skin cancer removed from that body part. The actor gives full credit to his wife for the diagnosis, writing that it was Deborra-Lee Furness who encouraged him to get the “mark” checked. “Boy, was she right! I had [basal] cell carcinoma,” Jackman writes. “Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!” According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, approximately 2.8 million cases of basal cell carcinoma are found each year in the United States; it is the most common of all cancers. So please do follow Jackman’s advice. It’s easy to get screened. And it could very well save your life.
A Costco location in California has apologized for labeling what it describes as a “small percentage” of its Bible inventory as “Fiction.” The issue was brought to the attention of the store after Caleb Kaltenbach – a pastor at Simi’s Discovery Church – noticed the placement of the Bibles and Tweeted: “Costco has Bibles for sale under the genre of FICTION Hmmmm……,” CostCo Labels The Bible “Fiction” The pastor’s congregation subsequently threatened a boycott, with one member telling KTLA: “I was completely offended. I believe the Bible is real and it shouldn’t be marked fiction.” Kaltenbach was hesitant to say Christians were under “persecution” for the act, but did add in an interview with Fox News: “On the other hand, I believe that we do need to stand up for our faith and we need to be vocal about our concerns.” In a statement, Costco says of this mistake, one of biblical proportions: “We deeply regret the mislabeling of the Bible and meant no offense to anyone. The buyer has let us know that this was an error and the books are being pulled off the shelves to be re-marked. “We take responsibility and should have caught the mistake. We are correcting them this with them for the future. We greatly apologize for this error.” And Kaltenbach seems satisfied with the resolution. “It caused a lot of controversy, it’s caused a lot of conversation,” he told Elizabeth Hasselback, acknowledging that it was “probably was a mistake” on Costco’s part, but: “I have no idea.”

Katy Perry broke into the music stratosphere with “I Kissed a Girl” in 2007, but for years before that, she toiled and struggled to find fame in Hollywood. Now 29, the recalls doing backing vocals for some major stars, including Mick Jagger, with whom she had a very interesting encounter a decade ago. In a recent interview with Australian DJs Ash, Kip & Luttsy, on Nova FM, Perry claimed that Jagger came on to her when she was just 18 years old. Perry worked with the Rolling Stones rocker on his hit “Old Habits Die Hard,” and she said she even went out to dinner with the now 70-year-old icon. “I actually went to dinner with [Mick] one time, and he hit on me when I was 18!” she said. “That was a long time ago,” Perry was quick to note, “and he’s been very kind.” Indeed, the unlikely paid has gone on to collaborate on more music since then. Asked how she turned down the rock god’s advances , Perry revealed a tactic: “You bring a friend and then they do them!” she said. “You sacrifice your friend.” She’s kidding … hopefully. Jagger’s rep, meanwhile, denies the incident. “Mick Jagger categorically denies that he has ever made a pass at Katy Perry… Perhaps she is confusing him with someone else,” the rep said Thursday.
Attention, THGers: There has been a Robsten reunion. Multiple outlets confirm that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart met up yesterday inside the actor’s gated Los Angeles community. Us Weekly reports that Stewart’s car was parked at her ex-boyfriend’s house for approximately three hours and that Pattinson drove behind Kristen in his jeep after she departed and got into her pick-up truck. Hmmm…. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Meet Up! Was her hair a mess? Was his shirt unbuttoned? Were there any signs of a hook-up? We simply don’t know at the moment. We do know, however, that this sighting follows talk that Rob and Kristen are still hooking up . The former couple appeared to be headed toward Kristen’s home after their meet-up, a witness says, but parted ways after they were spotted by the paparazzi. Pattinson and Stewart broke up in May after they spent many months trying to repair the damage caused by Kristen kissing director Rupert Sanders. Ironically, this rendezvous took place just days after Sanders’ ex-wife, Liberty Ross, spoke to Vanity Fair and labeled her husband’s affair with Stewart as ” the worst .” Kristen has not been romantically linked with anyone since splitting from her Twilight Saga colleague, but Pattinson is rumored to be dating Dylan Penn , the 22-year old daughter of Sean Peen. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Rob and Kristen and will report back any and all activity that takes place between the two on the street or behind closed doors… if you know what we mean!
