I was going to put a shot of singer Jessie J as the top picture for this post, she’s kind of a celebrity now, but she’s wearing a silly purple unitard and I couldn’t do it. Besides, her friend Holly Croft was with her and showed up in a bikini so… A skinny chick with big fake breasts in a bikini at a party will always get my attention over a unitard, no matter what color it is. I’m dead honest, man. I get myself in trouble all the time, but this is our best installment.” He’s probably right. “Dark of the Moon” is the top-grossing film in the series ($1.1 billion) and received an “A” CinemaScore from audiences, according to Paramount. Having announced that the third “Transformers” film will be his last, LaBeouf recently told us that he’s leaving the franchise on a high note. “For me, I feel vindicated for having guilt on my shoulders for the second movie,” he said. “There is vindication in this one being successful and people enjoying it.” Since finishing up the international press tour for “Dark of the Moon,” LaBeouf has been collaborating on a music video with Marilyn Manson and doing postproduction work on John Hillcoat’s “The Wettest County in the World,” a drama about Prohibition-era bootleggers. “That’s probably the biggest, coolest opportunity I’ve been allotted so far,” LaBeouf said of Hillcoat’s follow-up to “The Road.” “It’s the most colorful character I’ve been able to play, the most depth I’ve been able to show as an actor.” At the same time, the actor has been prepping for work on “The Company You Keep,” a political thriller that Robert Redford will direct and star in. “I’ve been in Redford’s office doing read-throughs,” LaBeouf said. “He’s very efficient with his time. He’s a master at juggling his time and his attention span. When his attention span is focused in your direction, he’s laser-beam focused. He knows exactly what he wants. He’s very specific. Jury selection officially got underway today in Los Angeles for the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal physician. Not one person out of 160 was unfamiliar with the case. “We didn’t expect that you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, or you’d made a pit stop here from Mars,” Judge Michael Pastor quipped. Pastor cautioned all the potential panelists that they were going to have to take care to avoid any outside information about the trial – especially online. So no reading entertainment news sites? We feel so hurt. They are also not allowed to post any messages on social media, send or read Tweets or Google the case. If they do, they could face jail time or fines. Pastor told prospective jurors that he has/had the option to have the panel sequestered throughout, but is “reiterating [his] faith” in the jurors by not doing so. Instead, the jury will be bused to the court from a secret location each morning, and escorted away every night. They won’t leave in between. Outside court, a lone supporter for Murray carried a sign reading: “I support Dr. Conrad Murray, an innocent man who must be exonerated.” Willie L. Hampton said he was a friend of Murray’s of three decades, said he shook hands with many Jackson fans and agreed to keep peace. Murray faces up to four years in prison for allegedly causing the death of his famous patient by overdose on the surgical anesthetic Propofol. His defense was dealt a blow when Pastor ruled MJ’s private life – including testimony from some doctors who treated him – was out of bounds .
