Minute Meditation:Prayer For Home

Go here to see the original:

Our homes are shelter from the storms. If there is chaos and unrest in your home, begin with this prayer when you return tonight.  Our homes are the place in which we regroup rest and find peace. It is within the walls we find the ability to recharge our batteries from the day’s demands. A few moments in prayer to prayer for that place that shelters us from the storms of life can only serve to help us and strengthen us. Many of us work from home. If that is true for you than you can use this prayer as a beginning to your day. Home is also the place in which we have love unconditional. When we have relatives that pass on we say that they are going home. We must never forget that we are just pilgrims n this journey that we have a home that is other than this physical realm but the emotional and soul filled meaning of home. Bless this home with Your love and peace. May we have as Christ loves the assembly. Strengthen their bond and commitment to one another. May we respect and follow your leading as the shepherd of this household. Let this place be a model to of your love. Fill these rooms with Your joy and laughter. Let these be great halls of learning of Your truth and grace. Let Your glory shine through these windows to the neighbors. May their kind words and consideration for others draw many into Your kingdom. So we bless our home with length of days and years till the setting of the sun. Bless this family richly in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.” Effective family life does not just happen; it is the result of deliberate intention, determination, and practice. May you be on your way to a happy and healthy home today. 8 Steps To Loving You

Go here to see the original:

You cannot expect others to love you if you do not love yourself. It sounds simple. It really is the root cause of why people have as many problems as they do in this world. They do not express the love that God gave them within themselves.  If we look at why there is such low  self esteem amongst our  people, it is because  we do not contain self love. There is a wonderful Gospel song that has the lyrics: “‘I Will… Bless The Lord …Oh My Soul… And All That Is Within Me …Bless His Holy Name”  If we can sing these words we must understand  that the blessings  start within me. Here are a few things  to  begin  your self love project. 1- Forgive You – I know people who have carried their mistakes with them their entire life, and as result they remain unhappy at the core. I know what it’s like to make a mistake and feel like you shouldn’t be forgiven, but that kind of thinking is nonsense. There is no action not worthy of forgiveness. 2- Stop Comparing Yourself to Others – I’m just as guilty as the next person in this area, for this is something that I too am struggling with even today. But as I’ve come to realize the more you compare yourself to others the less self worth you place on yourself Only when you stop comparing yourself to others can then you then begin to love yourself 3- Stop Seeking Approval- Seeking approval is similar to comparing yourself to others, and it’s fair to say that we all do it from time to time. I’m not going to lie and say I’ve never sought approval from my family or friends, but I’m also going to tell you that when approval was my main focus those were also not the happiest times in my life. 4- Believe In Yourself – Loving and believing in yourself go hand in hand. You can’t love yourself if you don’t believe in yourself, and you can’t believe in yourself if you don’t love yourself first. To fully experience what it means to live you must have a confidence in all you do, even during the times in which you come up short. 5- Trust Your Judgmen t and know that through both the good and bad you are worthy. Inside of yourself you do know essentially what is best for you and how to apply it. 6 – Practice Silence – Last week I wrote about discovering the true you in Silence. For me this means that I must remove myself from my natural environment in order to have peace and quiet. 7- Eat Healthy And Exercise – Part of loving yourself is allowing your body to be in its top form. An occasional indulgence in alcohol or some fast food isn’t the end of the in the world but making a habit of destroying your body is. 8- Express Yourself – Holding back on what you feel and how you feel makes you’re a prisoner inside. You do not deserve to be a prisoner. This is not what your Creator made you for. He made you to love, be loved and to know the world If you really want to change the world, if you really want to experience that life you’ve always desired, you must first love yourself fully, because all the advice in the world won’t matter if you don’t. It won’t always be be easy, but your relationship with yourself is the most important relationship you will ever have. Make each day a day in which you continue to deepen your relationship with yourself and experience the life you know you were meant to live. The world depends on you to love yourself. ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Sammi Reveals Her ‘American Idol’ Favorite

It’s all about Casey Abrams: ‘I love him — his attitude, his charisma,’ closet ‘Idol’ fans says on ‘Idol Party Live.’ By Katie Byrne, with reporting by Jim Cantiello Sammi Photo: Jonathan Goldner/ MTV News “Idol Party Live” took a trip to the Jersey Shore on Thursday (March 10), when Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola stopped by to chat with MTV News “American Idol” expert Jim Cantiello. Who knew Sammi was a closet “Idol” fan? “I think I just really like watching it this time around because there’s so many amazing singers,” she said. “Everyone’s unique in their own way and brings their own flair to the show.” We had to find out who the reality-TV star is rooting for this season, and she had to praise her #1 guy: Casey Abrams. “I love him — his attitude, his charisma, he’s funny, he brings something new every week,” she gushed. “I just like his style. I get chills. Whenever I get chills when I watch ‘American Idol,’ I know I love somebody.” In honor of Sammi’s “Jersey Shore” catchphrase — “I’m done” — we played a round of “Done or Fun” with the “Idol” contestants. So who did Sam find fun, and who was she over? She gave a thumbs-up to Casey (of course) and also Stefano Langone, James Durbin and Thia Megia, but it wasn’t sunshine and rainbows all around. While Sammi thinks Jacob Lusk is “fabulous, don’t get me wrong,” she “didn’t like his song choice.” But she isn’t quite “done” with him yet: “Let’s put him as a maybe.” Lauren Alaina, on the other hand, has been completely written off by the “Jersey Shore” starlet. “I think she’s so cute, but I think she’s still young and has a long way to come to progress,” she explained. “Maybe I’m just done because she’s up against these other amazing singers.” We had to slip in a few “Shore” questions, and Cantiello brought up Sam’s recent Ronnie dis when she told her ex he looked “pale.” This prompted recent “Idol” castoff Rachel Zevita, also an “Idol Party Live” guest, to wonder: “If he’s pale, what would I look like in that house?” “We’ll give you a spray tan before you come to the house,” Sammi promised. Audrina Patridge, Miss J, Cee Lo Green Reminisce On ‘When I Was 17’

Stars remember meeting fashion designers and skipping school in latest episode. By Mawuse Ziegbe Cee Lo Green Photo: MTV Miss J is a beacon of fierceness for the droves of starry-eyed, wannabe catwalkers on “America’s Next Top Model.” But there was a time — way back when he was just a starry-eyed teenager — when the reality judge and runway coach didn’t even have the most rudimentary sense of the biggest movers and shakers in fashion. On the latest episode of “When I Was 17,” the style maven recalled heading to an open casting call for one of renowned French designer Jean-Paul Gaultier’s events — even though he had no idea who the sartorial master was. “I went to Bergdorf Goodman for the casting,” he said. “There was hundreds of people waiting. I thought to myself, ‘What’s gonna make me stand out?’ and I just thought, ‘Be yourself, personality.’ I had nothing else to sell.” Armed with his famously dramatic personality, Miss J sold it. He brought the attitude and booked the gig — despite leaving an important piece of his wardrobe at home. “When I got to see him, he said, ‘Hello.’ And I said, ‘Hello.’ He put me in clothing, and I remember I wasn’t wearing underwear that day. I wasn’t wearing panties, but I hid in the corner, put on the outfit and I put on this attitude… but I got the show.” When Cee Lo was 17, he had no trouble getting a job, and rotated through an array of random gigs. The “F— You” singer remembered one job, however, that got a little off track. “I remember one that was really funny — I worked in a warehouse where they were putting together the Frito-Lay variety boxes of chips,” The Lady Killer singer explained. “I was on the end and I would push them through the plastic part where they would kinda do the overlay of plastic. “One time I look back over the conveyor belt, and I just remember potato chips just falling all over the floor,” he says. And when the chips hit the ground, “Closet Freak” star decided it was time to make a run for it. “I was like, ‘Oh, no. I’m out!’ ” he said. “The Hills” good girl Audrina Patridge tended to stay out of trouble when she was 17, but she wasn’t able to resist a day spent lounging by the shore instead of hitting books. “One day, my friends and I decided to ditch school and go to the beach, and I wrote a fake note: ‘Please excuse Audrina Patridge. She wasn’t feeling well today. Any questions, call,’ ” Patridge recalled. “So I just ditched school and I went [to the beach], and our counselor at the time called my mom and asked where I was, and so she covered for me.” While mom stuck to Patridge’s lie, she didn’t let the episode slip under the rug. Instead, she exaggerated the fib so much that the “Dancing with the Stars” alum kind of wished she really was sick. “She told them that I was really, really sick and that I was throwing up, and she did it to embarrass me, because when they called me into the office the next day, I had to sit there in front of all of them and tell them that I was throwing up and that I had diarrhea and I had to stick to her story,” she remembered. “It was probably one of the last times I ever ditched — first and last.” “When I Was 17” airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. on MTV Related Videos When I Was 17 (Season 2) | Ep. 6 | Cee Lo Green, Miss J Alexander, Audrina Patridge Related Photos When I Was 17 (Season 2) | Ep. 6 | Cee Lo Green, Miss J Alexander, Audrina Patridge

Crickets Chirp at Palm Beach Post Over Student Conservative Club Kicked Out of Local College Event

EEK! There is a conservative student group at our sacred campus club rush. Remove them immediately! Such was the attitude of Palm Beach State College administrator Olivia Ford-Morris at the sight of a Young Americans for Freedom table. You can see and hear the extreme urgency in the attitude and voice of Ms Ford-Morris accompanied by campus security guards in this video as she demands the students at the YAF table “Pull it up!” Although Ford-Morris claimed she didn’t remember receiving either an e-mail or a phone call from YAF about getting a table for club rush, evidence is now contradicting that claim (below the fold). So this is obviously a great story of campus censorship that the Palm Beach Post would love to cover since it happened locally? Wrong. The only comment from the Palm Beach Post on this incident is the sound of crickets chirping. To get information on what happened at Palm Beach State College you would need to check sites on the blogosphere such as Orlando Political Press : (Lake Worth, FL) On Tuesday September 7, 2010 at around 11:00am one Palm Beach State College (PBSC) student and two Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) members, state chairman Daniel P. Diaz and state vice chairman Eddie Shaffer, were shut down and had campus police called on them after tabling and recruiting during club rush at the College. The PBSC student, Christina Beattie, had received prior permission from college administrator Olivia Ford-Morris to promote her organization on campus via telephone and email communication. On the day of club rush, officials approached the group and after seeing information about the organization and its ideals criticizing Barack Obama’s economic policy. Ms. Ford-Morris was visibly disturbed by the material presented, published by the Heritage Foundation, criticizing President Obama’s administration. College officials then called the campus police to assure the group left campus. Ms. Ford-Morris denied having ever talked to Ms. Beattie about giving permission to the organization to be a part of PBSC club rush. “I was shocked and offended by her dishonesty. She outright denied giving me permission to table at Club Rush simply because she disagreed with my beliefs! The fact is, she was using her administrative power to silence the conservative opposition.” said Christina Beattie. And as the Palm Beach Post continues sleeping, more evidence has been revealed that college administrator Morris-Ford was somewhat less than honest (to put it politely) in her claim about receiving no communications from the YAF concerning attendance at campus rush. Here is the Heritage Foundation presenting the evidence contradicting Morris-Ford in this story which the snoozing Palm Beach Post neglects to cover in its own backyard: A conservative student in Florida says he has the evidence that implicates a public college administrator who last week ordered members of Young Americans for Freedom to leave a campus event after they displayed Heritage Foundation research papers. Palm Beach State College activities director Olivia Morris-Ford, a Facebook fan of President Barack Obama and filmmaker Michael Moore , booted the conservative students from a rush event. Morris-Ford claimed they didn’t have permission to be on campus. Her assertion stands in conflict with evidence YAF state chairman Daniel Diaz shared with Heritage. Diaz presented both a June 21 e-mail from student Christina Beattie to Morris-Ford requesting permission to be at the event and Beattie’s phone log from June 23, which shows a call from Morris-Ford. Beattie said Morris-Ford approved the request on that call. Meanwhile, as this story unfolds, the crickets continue to serenade the Palm Beach Post. Chirp! Chirp! Chirp

MET Matchup: Kristen Stewart vs. Jessica Biel

Neither Kristen Stewart nor Jessica Biel are known for smiling. They never seem excited to be photographed. This attitude persisted for both beauties last night, as they joined a slew of celebrities at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala, which was held in honor of a future exhibit called “American Women: Fashioning a National Identity.” Stewart’s identity, whether she likes it or not, is often based on her relationship with Robert Pattinson , although that Twilight Saga hunk didn’t accompany his girlfriend to the event. Biel did walk the red carpet with Justin Timberlake, but we’ve shoved that singer aside in the photo below in order to pit Jessica against Kristen. Who looked better? [Photos: Splash News]

It’s a Justin Bieber World

My World, if you’re in Justin Bieber’s shoes, is not just the name of his album … or his second album, My World 2.0 . It’s what the teenage baller rules. Hard. The rest of us just live here. He should really charge rent. Sure, the dude could keep a lid on it sometimes, saying Miley Cyrus isn’t his type or that Mariah Carey is past her prime . But his sales back up his attitude. My World 2.0 topped the album charts this week, making Justin Bieber the youngest male solo artist ever to score a No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. HIS WORLD : Justin Bieber. Cannot. Be. Stopped. The prepubescent singer is also the youngest male solo artist to score two simultaneous albums in the top five (as My World rounds out this week’s list). With his forthcoming national tour dates and an upcoming April 10 appearance on Saturday Night Live , Bieber is inching closer to pop culture domination. Oh who are we kidding, he’s already dominated. Just be grateful you can even check out our gallery of Justin Bieber pictures and bow down to the king.
