It appears that he only had but so much fortitude on deck to wiggle and squirm out of the direct questions asked of him in regards to the Mueller investigation and Donald Trump. Source: Alex Wong/Getty Images / Getty Oh boy…. AG Barr Testifies Before Senate About Mueller Report There were fireworks in the U.S. Senate today and they were all aimed at one person who’s clearly not objective. Attorney General William Barr got LIT up today while testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the Mueller report. As previously reported Special Counsel Robert Mueller released his report on the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. In it, Mueller stopped short of saying Trump was cleared on obstruction charges. This came after Barr released that very short four-page summary of the report that clearly glossed over details and told the American people they should be “grateful” of what’s in the report. Mueller later sent Barr a letter complaining that the summary distorted the report’s “context, nature, and substance” and had caused “public confusion about critical aspects of the results” of the 22-month probe. Barr’s since complained that it was “snitty.” Read special counsel Robert Mueller's March 27 letter to Attorney General William Barr. https://t.co/skqhvRztPy pic.twitter.com/ccDINoprHB — ABC News (@ABC) May 1, 2019 Earlier today Barr defended his actions and responded to questions from lawmakers on how his office handled the release of the report. According to Barr, he did not exonerate Piss Poor POTUS and he’s not biased. Weird lie, but okay. “I did not exonerate” President Trump,” said the AG. “I said that we did not believe that there was sufficient evidence to establish an obstruction offense;” says Americans can decide for themselves. Following that both Sen. Kamala Harris and Sen. Cory Booker called on him to resign. Kamala first grilled Barr and accused him of being biased… “I think the American public has seen quite well that you are biased in this situation and you’ve not been objective and that would arguably be the conflict of interest,” said Harris. and Cory Booker followed by questioning his credibility. “We are going into an area where you seem to not even be willing to be in the least bit critical in your summarizations. I believe that calls in your credibility.” “I fear that you are adding normalcy to a point where we should be sounding alarms as opposed to saying there’s nothing to see here,” Booker said. Here is the complete exchange, via CSPAN, between Kamala Harris and Bill Barr — including the part where Barr couldn't say whether Trump or anyone in the White House has ever suggested that he open an investigation into anyone. It's worth a watch. pic.twitter.com/wJOdSFR7JR — Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) May 1, 2019 Kamala later told reporters very plainly that it’s time for Barr’s time to be up noting that he “lacks all credibility and has, I think, compromised the American public’s ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice.” After questioning William Barr @senkamalaharris : “This Attorney General lacks all credibility and has I think compromised the American public's ability to believe that he is a purveyor of justice.” Q: “Should he resign?” Harris: “Yes.” pic.twitter.com/hh8rBVHBjj — CSPAN (@cspan) May 1, 2019 Cory B for sure agrees. Attorney General Barr answers to the American people—not to President Trump—and over the past 24 hours it’s become clear that he lied to us and mishandled the Mueller Report. He needs to step down. Add your name if you agree: https://t.co/x7KkyROdi5 — Cory Booker (@CoryBooker) May 1, 2019 Barr is now refusing to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. Do YOU think it’s high time for AG Barr to resign??? We wouldn’t be mad at it—AT ALL.
Source: FREDERIC J. BROWN / Getty Michael Avenatti has been dogged with accusations of doing some shady business of late, including trying to put the squeeze onto Nike before the apparel company got the drop on him and countered his moves. Now, a new report is alleging that the attorney embezzled money from NBA player Hassan Whiteside after he intercepted a $2 million settlement in order to buy shares into a private jet. Los Angeles Times reports: When Hassan Whiteside of the Miami Heat wired $2.75 million to Michael Avenatti in January 2017, the pro basketball player intended most of the money to go to his former girlfriend, Alexis Gardner. Avenatti was Gardner’s attorney. An actress and barista, she’d hired him just a few weeks before to negotiate a settlement of a potential lawsuit against Whiteside. It’s unclear what she would have alleged. Avenatti quickly struck a $3-million deal, and the $2.75 million was Whiteside’s first payment. Avenatti, prosecutors say, was entitled to take just over $1 million in legal fees, leaving the rest for Gardner. Instead, they allege, Avenatti hid Whiteside’s payment from her and immediately took $2.5 million to buy a share of a private jet. The full story of Avenatti’s alleged embezzlement from Gardner came to light in bank records and in the April 10 indictment of the Los Angeles lawyer by a federal grand jury in Santa Ana. For a handful C-list stars and their offspring, the college admissions bribery scandal is a nightmare from which they just can’t awaken. As you’ve likely heard by now, Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were among those ensnared by the FBI investigation dubbed Operation Varsity Blues. Since then, the actresses’ fates have diverged in a number of interesting ways. Huffman expressed what seemed like genuine remorse and accepted a plea deal. Loughlin — who stands accused of much more egregious crimes — opted not to accept a plea and will instead do battle with prosecutors in a proper trial. As a result, legal experts predict that Loughlin will almost certainly go to prison . And yet, insiders say the actress best known for portraying Aunt Becky on Full House is unfazed and remains convinced that she’ll beat the case. Here’s hoping Loughlin’s daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, inherited her mother’s unflappable nature because there’s reason to believe the influencer and aspiring cosmetics mogul is being investigated by the FBI. Loughlin allegedly doled out bribes and conned admissions boards on behalf of both of her daughter so that they would be accepted to USC as members of the school’s crew team. (Even though neither of them had ever rowed crew.) The Daily Mail is now reporting that one of Loughlin’s daughters is under federal investigation. Insiders claim the investigation was confirmed by letter the FBI sent to the admissions board at USC informing them that one of their students may soon face criminal charges. It’s currently unclear which daughter is being investigated, but many have assumed it’s Olivia who might soon be in trouble, as she’s been one of this scandal’s most outspoken and high-profile figures from the beginning. “It is a not-so-veiled threat,” said one source who claims to have seen the letter. “[The US Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts] is making it pretty clear that they have evidence that very strongly suggests she knew of the illegal plot.” Amazingly, the fact that her daughter might soon be brought up on charges was not enough to get Loughlin to accept a plea deal. Olivia has already dropped out of USC , allegedly for fear of being bullied as a result of the scandal. She has also lost endorsement deals with Sephora and several other cosmetics and beauty companies. Now, it looks as though her situation is soon to go from bad to worse.

Her criminal past was cited for her being denied entry into a mental health program, instead of a possible jail sentence. Reports TMZ : We broke the story … the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star submitted a petition in her child abuse case to allow her to get treatment for a serious mental illness, which she claimed she was diagnosed with around the same time she was charged with child abuse in Georgia. Tommie got her answer — no can do. According to a new legal doc obtained by TMZ … the Assistant District Attorney determined Lee’s criminal history and background — along with other evidence, facts and allegations — “make her an inappropriate candidate for an accountability court.” Back in January, Tommie was indicted on multiple child abuse charges and she’s facing up to 54 years in prison if she is convicted. Source: Mark Wilson / Getty A Man Has Been Charged With Threatening To Kill Ilhan Omar A New York man has been charged with threatening to kill one of the first Muslim women to serve in the US Congress, Ilhan Omar . Patrick Carlineo Jr was arrested after placing a call to Omar’s office, in which he allegedly called the congresswoman a “terrorist” before threatening to shoot her, federal prosecutors said. According to the FBI , the 55-year-old sounded angry during the call to the Washington DC office of the Minnesota representative, but he “spelled his name correctly and provided contact information” to a staffer. Mr Carlineo later told bureau investigators that he “loves the president and that he hates radical Muslims in our government,” according to the criminal complaint filed by US Attorney’s Office in the Western District of New York. During the call the 55-year-old allegedly said: “Do you work for the Muslim Brotherhood? Why are you working for her, she’s a (expletive) terrorist? I’ll put a bullet in her (expletive) skull.” The 21 March call was initially reported to the US Capitol Police, who began an investigation in coordination with the FBI. The prosecutor’s office said Mr Carlineo had been arrested and charged by criminal complaint with threatening to assault and murder a US official and he is being held pending a detention hearing on April 10. The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, or both. Ilhan Omar became one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress at last year’s midterms, joining the House of Representatives in January.
Source: Nia Noelle / Nia Noelle The Disgusting Video Shows Multiple Officers Opening Fire Body-cam footage proves what’s already been reported about Bay Area rapper Willie Bo’ s murder . Twenty-year-old Willie, birth name Willie McCoy, was shot an estimated 25 times by Vallejo cops when the officers found Bo sleeping in his car at a Taco Bell. At the time, McCoy had a gun resting on his lap. According to The Guardian , McCoy’s family continually stood by claims that the officers murder Willie when he wasn’t even alert or awake. Now, disturbing body-camera video has been released, and it shows the young rapper had moved his hand to scratch his shoulder right before the officers opened fire. The videos were released to the public after significant pressure and they also show that: The officers didn’t try to wake McCoy or speak to him after they found the gun in his lap. Instead, they aimed their firearms at his head directly outside the vehicle as he slept for several minutes. One officer said, “I’m going to pull him out and snatch his ass.” The officers realized Willie’s firearm didn’t have a magazine in it, explaining to each other that if it was loaded, it would have a single bullet in it. “He’s only got one shot if he shoots,” one officer said. McCoy eventually made a move by scratching his should but not yet appearing alert. And all six officers STILL fired at him several seconds later. Trash. Trash. Trash. The police department in Vallejo, which is 30 miles north-east of San Francisco, repeatedly claimed that the six cops fired out of “fear for their own safety.” Footage clearly shows, however, that some of them were talking somewhat calmly for nearly five minutes before they unloaded their weapons. Two officers started shooting almost immediately after they arrived on the scene as backup. Police continually refused to release the body-cam footage to the public. Only three relatives of Willie initially got to see the footage in a private viewing. The police department then randomly decided to publish the video on Friday without even warning the family, according to one of their attorney’s, Melissa Nodd. “It’s just a continuing of the insult to injury, the continuous disrespect,” she said. “They’re having to relive it without warning. It’s cruel.” Meanwhile, another lawyer for the family, John Burris, said he plans on filing a civil rights lawsuit against the cops and the police agency. The Jussie Smollett case continues to get crazier and crazier, weirder and weirder. By the minute, it often seems. In the latest hilarious/disturbing/eye-roll-inducing development resulting from this saga, Smollett’s attorney, Tina Glandian, sat across from Savannah Gurthrie on The Today Show Thursday morning. The lawyer did her best to address several inconsistencies with her client’s story, such as the fact that he has claimed from the outset that two white men attacked him early on the morning of January 29. And yet… two African-Americans are the only suspects . They’re Nigerian brothers named Abel and Ola Osundairo and they have multiple connections to Smollett: They worked as extras on Empire. They personally trained Smollett. There are also text messages sent between Smollett and Abel on record, as well as phone calls the day of the supposed attack; a check made out to Abel in the amount of $3,500; and surveillance footage of the brothers purchasing rope and other supplies at a store on the day of the supposed attack. Here’s a photo of the muscular men: So… how does Glandian explain this away? How could Smollett have said two white men beat him up, when it appears to have been two black men he actually knows? “He only saw one of the attackers,” the attorney told Guthrie, adding: “One of them he didn’t see. He saw one through a ski mask. Again, he could not see their body. Everything was covered, and he had a full ski mask on except the area around the eyes.” She continued of what Smollett told the cops: “He did tell police that he… from what we saw, he thought it was pale skin or white or pale skin, was I think what he said. And that was what he… and that’s why he initially did have a hard time.” Abel and Ola have not said anything since the charges against Smollett were dropped . Their lawyer allegedly resigned after they refused to come forward and confirm that Smollett hired them to stage the attack. On Today, meanwhile, Glandian offered up another incredible defense for why her client told police he was assaulted by Caucasians. “Well, you know, I mean, I think there’s – obviously, you can disguise that,” she said of the brothers’ race. “You can put makeup on.” Shen then pointed to a YouTube video from 2016 in which Abel Osundairo puts on white makeup to perform the Joker monologue. Here is a still image of the suspect in whiteface from that footage: “I think police had minimal investigation in this case, it took me only five minutes to Google,” said the attorney. “You know, I was looking up the brothers, and one of the videos that showed up actually was of the brothers in whiteface doing a joker monologue with white makeup on him. “So, it’s not – it’s not implausible.” Okay. We guess. From there, Guthrie asked why Smollett did not recognize the Osundairos’ voices after allegedly having hung up the phone with them just moments earlier, based on official record, to which Glandian replied: “I mean, this was a very brief interaction. “Before you can even process what they look like, you’ve been punched in the face. And now next thing you’re on the floor and you’re being kicked… “And so, this isn’t somebody who’s digesting what’s happening. I mean, there’s excitement and fear and all of these things happening.” Glandian went on to say that Smollett has no interest in pressing charges against these suspects — which sounds downright insane and bizarre. He’s claiming they beat him up, tied a rope around his neck, yelled racial and anti-gay slurs at him and poured bleach all over him? And he’s looking to clear his name? And yet he doesn’t want to press charges?!?!?!? That is questionable AF. Smollett’s lawyer also says Jussie is more upset about the reaction to his charges being dropped than about this supposedly heinous assault. Smollett is especially hurt by the way the Mayor of Chicago, Rahm Emanuel, and the Chicago Police Department slammed and trashed him as guilty… even after the state’s attorney office let him walk free. Emanuel referred to this decision as a ” whitewash of justice ,” adding of Smollett: You have a person using hate crime laws that are on the books to protect people who are minorities from violence to then turn around and use those laws to advance your career and your financial reward. Is there no decency in this man? “It is the Mayor and the Police Chief who owe Jussie – owe him an apology – for dragging an innocent man’s character through the mud. Jussie has paid enough,” Smollett’s legal team’s have now said in a statement. View Slideshow: Jussie Smollett: This is How He Staged His Alleged Assault

( Terms and conditions ). In her sit down interview, Carter spoke about the sexual assault she experienced at the hands of Kelly in 2003, when she was 24-years-old. Carter said she had been working as Kelly’s braider for a year and even defended him in 2002, when he was arrested on child pornography charges. Carter described Kelly with two words: “Perfect gentleman.” “I would tell people, ‘Pray for him. I do his hair. He is nothing like what they say.’ On, February 18, 2003, Carter alleged that Kelly called her in to braid his hair. Later, he asked her to massage his head. She told him she didn’t do massages, “I laughed it off. I didn’t know he was for real. If I could change that day, I wouldn’t have been there.” Kelly allegedly yanked her head down by her braid and demanded that he perform oral sex on her. Carter said Kelly repeatedly told her, “Suck it for Daddy.” Carter tried to shield herself from his body with her hand, pulling away from him. In response, Kelly started hawking up saliva, spitting on her. Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Close Thank you for subscribing! Fix your muthaf*cking face.’ I knew that’ll be my last day there.” Carter went to the bathroom and started questioning herself. “I get to the bathroom and I grab the wall and it was a rose colored towel. I wipe my face. I’m not dressed no type of way. I look at myself in the mirror, I’m not a beauty queen. I didn’t perceive myself to be more than just his hair braider. And I just kept thinking to myself, why did this happen to me.” Carter called authorities the same day to report the incident. SEE ALSO: R. Kelly’s Ex-Wife Is Going Back To Reality Television “They asked for my clothing and I gave them my favorite Tommy Hilfiger shirt and that’s where they found DNA evidence. Semen.” For whatever reason, charges were not filed against Kelly in 2003. Carter offered her theory about the reason why this might have been so. “Celebrities are powerful. Celebrities have support systems. I have no support system outside of my immediate family.” Six months later, Carter signed a $650,000 settlement where Kelly denied any wrong doing and Carter agreed to keep quiet. In 2009, R. Kelly released, “Hair Braider” a song about having sex with the woman who braids his hair. Carter said there were references to her in the lyrics and music video. Kelly sings, “Zig zag braids, got em looking like spaghetti.” Carter said, “That was one of the hair styles that I was known for doing. We were on the L shaped couch when the incident happened.” The song led to another confidential settlement, this one for $100,000. In documents, Kelly denies any wrong doing but agreed never to perform it again or include it on any of his future albums. After the documentary, Cook County State Attorney Kimberly Foxx asked that victims of Kelly come forward and share their stories. Carter said, “I would be going on with my day, you turn on the news, here’s another R. Kelly victim. Another R. Kelly victim. Another R. Kelly victim. You just want to be there for them.” Carter said that interestingly enough, Kelly’s interview with Gayle King that inspired her to come forward and tell her story publicly. “I know that I love myself today. I know that I don’t care what anybody say about me. This is a release. I been carrying this since 2003. I don’t want to be in the public but this is my life. If I die tomorrow, I know that I told the truth.” You can watch Carter’s interview in the video below.
