The R.E.D. Album follow-up ‘coming along crazy,’ 1500 or Nothin’ producer tells Mixtape Daily . By Alvin Blanco La Mar “Mars” Edwards Photo: Victor Decolongon/ Getty Images Behind the Beats: Mars Don’t let his relatively young age fool you: La Mar “Mars” Edwards is already an accomplished production veteran at only 26 years old. The California native’s production discography includes placements with A-list clients like Kanye West , Snoop Dogg and Chris Brown , to name a few. Mars and some fellow church musicians started a band and officially formed 1500 or Nothin’ , now a conglomerate of sought-after songwriters and producers, shortly after high school. Mars linked up with T.I., who was looking to work on his own production craft, around 2004. “We had the same attorney,” Mars told Mixtape Daily about T.I. “Tip always did beats, but he didn’t have time to do it while he’s rapping and doing business stuff, so he talked to my attorney about finding somebody that could help him form a company and produce with him as well as somebody he could learn from and possibly teach some things to. It was a no brainer for my attorney. “I got out there [to Atlanta] on the next plane smoking that day. Ever since then, he treated me like a brother,” Mars continued. “He’ll call me to talk about life. It’s more to it than me being his production partner and having Smash Factory.” T.I. and Mars, along with Lil C, formed the Smash Factory in 2005. The production team has since hooked up tracks including Nelly’s “She’s So Fly” and T.I.’s “I Can’t Help It.” While Tip has been incarcerated, Mars has asserted himself, most recently by earning an executive producer credit, alongside the likes of Dr. Dre, on Game’s just-released The R.E.D. Album . Although he produced a good chunk of the album — including the Tyler, the Creator- and Lil Wayne-assisted “Martians vs. Goblins” and “California Dream” — he was still surprised about the distinction. Mars said the Compton rapper granted him the executive producer nod because “[Game] seeing that it wasn’t about trying to get however many songs or just going up there and sending beats and just leave like other producers would.” “I just wanted to be there every day to make sure there’s input,” he added. “Even if it was songs I didn’t produce, I made sure I was vocal about it. He respected different things I would suggest.” Mars continued, “We’d been working on The R.E.D. Album for three years. Just seeing my name on the credits right when you open the album, that was pretty exciting. As well as being in good company with Pharrell and Game and Dre, that’s the icing on the cake. Especially being a producer, growing up listening to their sounds and them being a big influence on my production.” As for his upcoming projects, Mars didn’t offer any details on the new Will Smith album he and 1500 or Nothin’ are reportedly creating. He did mention working on a 1500 or Nothin’ compilation album, on Snoop Dogg’s daughter’s album and on Game’s next album. “Me and Game was in the studio yesterday,” Mars revealed. “We did two songs. That’s coming along crazy. We’re going to have no features: It’s just him rapping. No name dropping, no little things people say is clich

The Breakfast Club inducted Ray J into their “Ho Appreciation” Hall of Fame last week and while he didn’t seem proud of the “honor,” he admitted he has finally grown weary of smashing random broads. Charlamagne and Envy asked him about his thoughts on his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian’s upcoming nuptials and he said he wishes her “the best.” Ray J also talked about his plans for his upcoming album, a new reality show in the works and his book “Death of a Cheating Man” which is scheduled to drop on Valentine’s Day. Ray-J also spoke freely about his dealing swith the “B’s and C’s.” Watch the interview below:
These fugged up senators never cease to amaze us!!! Emails shared with The Indianapolis Star suggest that state Rep. Phillip Hinkle — responding to a local posting on Craigslist — offered a young man $80 plus tip to spend time with him Saturday night at the JW Marriott hotel. The emails, sent from Hinkle’s publicly listed personal address, ask the young man for “a couple hours of your time tonight” and offer him cash up front, with a tip of up to $50 or $60 “for a really good time.” he email exchange is in response to the Craigslist posting in which the young man — who lists his age as 20 in the ad but says he is 18 years old — says, “I need a sugga daddy.” The young man told The Star that they met, but that he tried to leave after the man told him he was a state lawmaker. He said the lawmaker at first told him he could not leave, grabbed him in the rear, exposed himself to the young man and then later gave him an iPad, BlackBerry cellphone and $100 cash to keep quiet. When contacted by The Star about the emails, Hinkle, a Republican who represents portions of Pike and Wayne townships, did not contest the emails but said, “I am aware of a shakedown taking place.” Asked what he meant by shakedown, Hinkle would not elaborate. He directed further questions to his attorney. Hinkle’s lawyer, defense attorney Peter Nugent, said he was unable to say what Hinkle meant by a “shakedown.” Nugent said he is investigating the situation, but he does not know what happened Saturday. Nugent said he has not filed a police report and does not yet know whether he will. Asked whether he had seen the emails and the Craigslist posting, Nugent said, “Oh, I’ve seen some emails, but not all of them.” He would not be more specific. The Craigslist ad was posted at 7:37 a.m. Saturday. The ad shows two pictures of Kameryn Gibson, shirtless with pants pulled below the top of his underwear. The ad’s text features one written line: “Email me and I’ll tell you everything you need to know!” Forty-seven minutes later, he received a response from phinkle46 @comcast.net, with the email signature “Sent from Phil’s iPad.” “Cannot be a long time sugar daddy,” the email reads, “but can for tonight. Would you be interested in keeping me company for a while tonight?” The email offers “to make it worth (your) while” in cash, and offers a personal description: “I am an in shape married professional, 5’8″, fit 170 lbs, and love getting and staying naked.” Fifteen minutes later, Kameryn Gibson replied: “Yes I can!” He also sent along his phone number. Wowwww…there’s just too much to this story as the Senator’s wife was confronted and everything!! Megan Gibson said she then began receiving a series of calls from various family members — including from Hinkle’s son-in-law, demanding that his wife see proof of the emails. Megan Gibson dropped off her brother then returned to the JW Marriott, where she showed Hinkle’s daughter the emails. Megan Gibson said on her way back, she received another call from Hinkle’s wife. “The first thing she said, she was like, ‘OK, we will give you $10,000 not to say anything,’ ” said Megan Gibson, who said she was now becoming scared. “I was like, ‘OK,’ and I hung up the phone.” She soon got another call — from the Marriott hotel. It was Hinkle. Megan Gibson told Hinkle that she had informed his wife and family that he was gay. Megan Gibson said Hinkle’s response was: “You just ruined me.” Dayyumm, talk about some scandal for dat a$$!! Source

If Rachel doesn’t get her way, she will cry in some shrubbery. Morons locked in a house for weeks at a time will ultimately turn on each other. An unexpected victory in a veto competition can potentially lead to a major game-changer. Each of these Big Brother tenets was proven last night. Who ended up on the block when all was said and done, and which of the two is likely toast? THG breaks down Sunday’s episode in its +/- recap below … For whatever reason, Rachel is livid that this week’s nominees don’t include Cassi. Jordan guesses Rachel is jealous because Cassi is hot. Sounds right. Plus 4 . Jordan doesn’t want to be “two-face” and go after her, though. Minus 1 . Daniele is awesome. By agreeing with Rachel and subtly playing into her nut job crusade, she subtly helps create a huge rift – to her own advantage. Plus 9 . The Golden Key concept is killing the veto competitions. Some people don’t even compete, and those that do often try to tank it strategically. Minus 7 . Dominic lucks out big time when this veto battle becomes an individual effort. Unencumbered by Adam trying to lose, he pulls off a huge upset! Plus 10 . Plus 9 more for his diary room celebration after sticking it to the man. The highlight wasn’t Dominic’s win, however. It was Rachel trying to show up Jordan by taking the slop punishment. Minus 6 for the girl’s sheer idiocy. Finally, some legitimate drama in-fighting! Unable to take it anymore, Jeff just unloads on Rachel his Chicago accent and the veteran alliance is shaken up for the first time. RACHEL THEN HIDES IN A BUSH and weeps. Plus 31 . Despite Brendon’s (relative) level-headedness, Rachel can’t bring herself to apologize with any sincerity, nearly talking her way onto the block! Minus 8 . “No wonder America hates me. *sniff*” – Rachel. Mmm hmm. Plus 5 . Plus 3 more for Jeff likening her to a pesky gnat. So accurate. Even Kalia can’t help but call out her lameness. Hilarious. Plus 2 . Plus 4 for Brendon’s off-hand diss of Lawon while trying to smooth things over with Jordan and Jeff. Lawon has already achieved VINTAGE floater status. Jeff and Jordan seriously contemplate back-dooring Brendon and Rachel (at which point Rachel would be voted out unanimously) … but ultimately decide not to splinter their alliance. Minus 29 for not going through with it. Think about it. The newcomers’ alliance is fragmented, so it’s not as if Jeff and Jordan become immediate targets. The only collateral damage would be pissed-off Brendon … which is considerable. Okay, Plus 7 for playing it safe. Jordan assures Cassi that she would be “the last person” put up for eviction. By last, she means “definitely the person I’m going to put up,” to the disappointment of many (if not all) houseguests and viewers alike. Minus 18 . Unlike last week, which was totally up for grabs, tonight’s eviction looks like a foregone conclusion. Minus 3 . Will ANYONE try to vote off Shelley? EPISODE TOTAL: +9. SEASON TOTAL: +21. Did Jeff and Jordan make the right call on Big Brother? Who should they have put up once Dominic took himself and Adam off the chopping block?
The deluge of Casey Anthony death threats continues. The accused murderer herself is in hiding , and if this continues, people associated with her – such as attorney Cheney Mason – may want to follow suit. Mason’s wife called 911 Tuesday, claiming someone told her “Your scumbag husband and Baez [Casey’s other attorney] better sleep with one eye open.” Following this and several other reported threats, officials in Seminole County will perform multiple drive-bys daily to make sure the Masons are safe. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is working with the State Attorney to acquire phone records to track down the callers. Listen to the 911 call here: Casey Anthony Lawyer Calls 911
