Teresa Palmer is engaged to actor Mark Webber, she confirmed today on Twitter. “I think I’ve said ‘fiance’ over 100 times in the last few hours,” she gushed. “It sounds so nice. So happy.” The 27-year-old Warm Bodies actress met the Goodbye World actor, 33, last year. “This is actually really embarrassing,” she told Australia’s Herald Sun in March. “I looked him up after I saw the trailer for his film End of Love and I realized we had so much in common. There were lots of emails going back and forth.” “It was like old-fashioned love letters in a way. My family and friends really love him. I think he’s changed my perspective on a few things about my life.” Webber, who is also a screenwriter and director, is a father to son, Isaac Love, whom he had with actress Frankie Shaw. Congrats to the couple!
This sounds like the s**ttiest flight ever! Via NYPost reports : Thirteen hours in the air, eight toilets and 26 passengers violently ill with gastroenteritis. That was the scene when an international flight became the trip from hell after 26 passengers fell sick during a Qantas flight. The group, believed to be a tour group traveling together, were sick before they embarked on the 13 hour and 51 minute flight from Santiago, Chile yesterday. “The people were sick prior to the flight,” a Qantas spokesman said. “It was a tour group that had food poisoning so it was contained to them.” A statement from the NSW Ministry of Health said the group had developed “vomiting and diarrhea on the plane” consistent with norovirus infection, which is a common cause of outbreaks of gastroenteritis in Australia and elsewhere. The flight was aboard a Boeing 747-400 which has a total of seven toilets located on the main deck and one on the upper deck. A statement from the NSW Ambulance service said the 26 passengers were assessed at the scene. “Of those, 16 patients required transport to hospital, three of whom were stretcher patients,” the statement reads. A total of 10 patients were transported to the Prince of Wales Hospital, the remaining six were transported to St George Hospital. “Ambulance will assess the sick passengers, and if well enough to leave they can be cohorted through the airport with minimal exposure to other passengers,” a Spokesperson from the Ministry of Health said. “NSW Health has provided Qantas with a letter and factsheet about viral gastro to distribute to all departing passengers, as well as advice for cleaning and cabin staff.” As a precaution, other passengers have been advised to keep a close eye on their health over the next 24 to 48 hours and seek medical advice if they become unwell. Scores of family members were left high and dry in the arrivals hall with no official word from Qantas over the incident. David Sanhueza and his family from Mount Druitt were left waiting two hours for his mother-in-law, Carmen Caro, visiting from Chile. Her granddaughter Jennifer Sanhueza said the family only found out what was going on from the news. “We weren’t told much, we only heard from a phone call that it was all over the news,” she said. Mrs Caro said the the group that got on in Brazil had been vomiting the whole flight. “A whole lot of kids got on the plane at Brazil and they were all vomiting and sick,” she said in Spanish translated by her granddaughter. The media-savvy couple have yet to share any photos of their tiny bundle of joy since welcoming her into the world on June 15, though they’ve been offered a whopping $3 million from an Australian magazine to do so. “Kanye’s been adamant about not having the baby on the show,” an insider tells Us Weekly. “He was serious when he said North isn’t America’s baby, so he may not do anything.” The rapper’s protective, paternal instincts move beyond just maintaining North’s image, however. A housekeeper who once described seeing Wade Robson in the shower with Michael Jackson may be the key to the former’s claims of molestation. Robson, 30, recently accused Jackson of sexual abuse in a claim against his estate, then defended himself on Today, calling Michael a pedophile . Blanca Francia’s testimony during Jackson’s 2005 child molestation trial included a graphic account of MJ showering naked with a young Wade Robson. Francia described seeing Michael’s underwear on the floor outside the Neverland Ranch shower, as well as Wade’s child-sized neon green underwear. She said she couldn’t see exactly what the King of Pop was doing in there because the shower door was fogged up, but said she heard him laughing . Despite Francia’s story, Michael was acquitted – in no small part because Wade himself also testified and insisted Jackson never abused him. That’s the opposite, of course, of what he is claiming now. Robson is planning to argue that the late icon’s companies, MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures, had a duty to protect him when he was a young boy. Because they were involved in recruiting him from Australia to work with Michael – who he says abused him from ages 7-14 – they are liable today. According to TMZ, Wade wants to use Blanca’s 2005 testimony to show Michael abused him, and hope that she will cooperate in his new case as well. Robson has been hammered by MJ’s former attorney Tom Mesereau, as well as Michael’s nephew Taj Jackson , his ex-wife Debbie Rowe, and others. Michael’s camp says Wade is obviously changing his story now because he’s motivated by money, and point to his moving 2005 account – under oath. Wade says he understands this, but is adamant that he’s not lying now. “I never forgot one moment of what Michael did,” he said. “But I was psychologically unable and unwilling to understand that it was sexual abuse.” “I lived in silence and denial for 22 years,” Robson went on, noting that he suffered nervous breakdowns that nearly ended his career two years ago. “In order to heal, I have to speak the truth and speak the whole truth.” You tell us: What do you think of Wade Robson’s allegations?
