Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr Welcome Son

Baby was reportedly born on Friday. By Jocelyn Vena Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom Photo: Pascal Le Segretain/ Getty Images Hollywood is experiencing a baby boom. Stars like Jewel , Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard have all announced in the last few days that they’re expecting bundles of joy. And now comes news that Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom have welcomed their child into the world. According to multiple reports, Kerr gave birth to a son last Friday, although a confirmation has not yet been released from either the model or the actor. But a source close to the model confirms to MTV News that she did in fact give birth. News of the birth first popped up online on Friday when X17 reported that Bloom was overheard talking about his new son. The Herald Sun in Kerr’s native Australia reports that a family friend says that the baby weighed 10 pounds and that both mother and child are doing “very well.” The baby was reportedly born in the States with Kerr’s parents, as well as Bloom, by Kerr’s side during the birth. Speaking to the Morning Herald in the past, Kerr admitted that she was looking forward to expanding her family. “I’ve always been open about wanting to be a mother one day, and I’ve always thought Orlando would be a great dad,” she said . “I think having children and pregnancy is a part of life. I look at how models like Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio have done it and made it a part of their lives.” Bloom and Kerr got engaged in June 2010 and were married a month later . In November, a very pregnant Kerr appeared nude in W magazine , where she expressed her desire to keep some privacy when it comes to her family plans. “For me, family is life. The decision to start one wasn’t complex at all. … We’re keeping [the sex of the baby] a surprise,” she said. “My career has been wonderful, but it’s not my life. I don’t feel pressure to get back to work. My goal involves a hammock, a vegetable patch and a solar-powered house. And I hope to eventually get there.” Related Photos Celebrity Baby Bumps!

Jay Sean Looks Forward To Freezing Time In 2011

As he rang the closing bell of the NASDAQ in Times Square, the singer reflected on his past and future. By Jay Sean, with additional reporting by Akshay Bhansali Jay Sean rings the closing bell of the NASDAQ in Times Square Photo: Nasdaq MarketSite NEW YORK — To commemorate the first day of trading in the New Year, Jay Sean had the honor of ringing the closing bell at NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square on Monday, and MTV News tagged along for the ride with his family, friends and industry colleagues. It has certainly been a rather meteoric two-year ride for the Brit in America, and in 2011, the Cash Money R&B singer will release his second stateside album, Freeze Time. At this introspective moment, Sean wrote about his feelings about his past year and the one to come, just for MTV News: “So, another year gone, and so much has happened. Sometimes it feels like it’s all one big blur, and thankfully, I have photos and calendar entries to see exactly what it was that I did!! 2010 was a year in which I witnessed growth. Growth as an artist, as a vocalist, and a songwriter but perhaps more importantly growth as a human being. 2009 ended with me having wedged my foot in the door, and 2010 gave me the opportunity to walk proudly in, quietly confident. By scoring two more hits in the U.S. with “Do You Remember” and “2012 (It Ain’t the End),” I managed slowly but surely to establish my place in the enormous American music scene, and that’s important to get those notches in the belt. One of the coolest memories for me was watching “The Karate Kid,” starring Jaden Smith, and hearing my song “Do You Remember” kick it all off. I can’t pretend I wasn’t overly pleased with myself (mainly because I knew that Will Smith had now heard my music, and anyone can tell you I’m the biggest Will Smith fan! lol). “2010 brought me back into the studio! Songwriting is actually my favorite part. To sit there away from all distractions in the world and create something that hopefully one day the world might hear and that my lovely fans will hopefully BUY LEGALLY FROM ITUNES AND VARIOUS OTHER DIGITAL AND PHYSICAL OUTLETS for, let’s face it, less than the price of two McDonald’s meals … (I digress, but you know what I mean!!) That is amazing for me. Nothing can match that process of creation. I see it as a privilege more than a gift, and I appreciate it. And I appreciate my co-writers and producers!! Big up all yourselves!! I got to work with the best of the best. Together we made an album that I am truly proud of. From its uplifting uptempos to sexy slow jams and melodic mid-tempos, I can honestly say this is my best work yet! If you loved the fun uptempos like “Down,” you’re gonna hear more like that! And if you liked slower sexy songs like “Ride It,” you’re gonna love this album! It’s a sick blend of pop, dance and r’n’b. It’s called Freeze Time, and it’s my fourth album. I can’t wait for you all to hear it when it comes out this year!!! Also last year, I got to work with some of the coolest artist in the world! From Nicki Minaj to Mary J. Blige, last year I shot six music videos, many of which will come out early in 2011, including my duets with Alesha Dixon from the U.K. and Jessica Mauboy in Australia. I also got to do my fourth song with Lil Wayne (FOURTH!!! WTF?!) which featured on his I Am Not A Human Being album! “Today, I leave to go to Qatar to do a concert and sing the Asia Cup theme song on which I’m featured. That’s gonna be a lot of fun! I also toured heavily with my band last year, and shared the stage and got to have jokes with some of the worlds biggest artists: Enrique Iglesias, Bruno Mars, Akon, B.o.B, Pitbull, Sean Paul, Flo Rida, Natasha Bedingfield and Katy Perry, to name just a few! In arenas around the world, to audiences of up to 20,000 in each arena!!! 20, 000!!! Eight years ago, I was onstage singing my heart out at bars to an audience of 23 wasted students, whilst dodging bottles of beer and making out like it was a dance move. Oh, and my DJ at the time was my brother. And the sound guy was, umm … my brother. And now, as I stand on the stage at the 02 in London or MSG in New York, I can honestly say, these are the most incredible live performances I’ve ever done. From Australia, to London, to Miami and Vegas, I traveled around the globe and managed to sing to all my wonderful fans everywhere. (Why does that make me sound like Santa Claus?) I am fortunate to have such loyal fans, and I love you all and thank you for your continued support over the years. You are all allowing me to live my dream, and I thank you for that. “My fans also helped me through the lowest point of my life so far. One of my favorite people on Earth left in November, my granddad. He passed away from a stroke, but fortunately I got to hold his hand in his last hours and tell him how much I love him. That taught me something, watching someone take their last few breaths. To take in ALL that we can, because we never know how long it’s all going to last. My granddad’s motto was ‘Don’t worry man, be happy,’ and I want to live like that from now on, to just not sweat the small stuff and be grateful for what we do have. And to just have fun and enjoy it all!!! Life is about the journey, not just the destination, so I take a lot more photos now so that I can remember all the moments. I’m gonna take on 2011 for everything it throws at me and OWN THAT BIYAAATCH!! I ended 2010 with a bang (and a disgusting hangover) by performing in Vegas for NYE and kicked off the New Year by ringing the closing bell on the first day of trading in 2011 at NASDAQ in Times Square, New York — my unfortunate mug on a GIGANTIC screen in the middle of Times Square, right opposite Diddy! Madness!! 2011 is going to be amazing, I can feel it.” Related Artists Jay Sean

Even Kirk Cameron Isn’t Convinced Dead Arkansas Birds Are a Sign of the Apocalypse

Point of truth: Here at Movieline HQ, we’re busy stocking up on batteries and canned goods in the wake of the mass bird and fish deaths that happened in Arkansas over the weekend. (Not to mention the flooding in Australia .) That said, not everyone has worked themselves up into a full blown lather of panic. Just ask born-again Christian Kirk Cameron: “I think it’s really kind of silly to kind of equate birds falling out of the sky with some kind of an end-times theory.” Wait, even Cameron is making sense? Maybe this really is the end of times.

iphone 4 alarm problem

Sites such as 9to5 Mac also report that only iPhones using specific versions of the iOS 4 operating system – in particular, the 4.2.1, 4.1 and 4.0.2 versions – may be affected. However, the extent of the problem is still unclear. Some iPhone 4 users got off to a bad start in the New Year when the alarm function of their phones failed to go off, apparently due to a bug in the smart phone#39;s operating system. The problem was first reported in Australia and New Zealand, which were the first cou

Train Enjoy ‘Intense’ MTV World Stage Performance

Band’s set, filmed in London, premieres Friday on Palladia at 9 p.m. ET. By James Montgomery Train’s Pat Monahan Photo: MTV News Thanks to the success of hits like “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter” and — especially — “Hey Soul Sister,” Train are the kind of band that operate in only one way: globally. They are, after all, one of the most popular radio acts on the planet ( “Soul Sister” went to #1 in 16 different countries, was the most-downloaded song of 2010 in the U.S., and the year’s most-played song in, of all places, Australia), which is why they’re the perfect band to be showcased on MTV’s World Stage, a concert series that features the biggest acts on Earth. On Friday at 9 p.m. ET on Palladia, fans who weren’t lucky enough to score tickets to London’s Shepherds Bush Empire theater — where Train filmed their World Stage performance back in October — will finally be able to catch the band in all their globe-spanning glory. Though the idea of filming a show for the entire world seems like a no-brainer, the guys in Train were hesitant to sign on when first approached by MTV. After all, they’d done the whole “concert film” thing before and, as frontman Pat Monahan put it, the end result was usually less than satisfactory. For everyone involved. “We’ve recorded a lot of shows in the past, with cameras … and usually it’s been kind of a bummer, because it sets a weird vibe right off the bat, when there’s six cameras and people can’t see past [them],” he explained. “But this one was different. They set it up really nicely and all the fans that were in there were psyched to be a part of it, and we were psyched to be a part of it. … The people of London were amazing, and once they found out they were going to be part of a film, it was even more intense. It was a great night for us.” The show also gave Train an opportunity to unveil their brand-new, Coca-Cola-approved Christmas song, “Shake Up Christmas.” The London audience was the first anywhere to hear the tune, and even though it was new — and being played in October — the response was one Train won’t forget any time soon. And, luckily, the cameras were there to capture the moment. “[That was] the first time anyone heard it, at Shepherd’s Bush in London, and it was cool, because the end chorus is just ‘Ho Ho Ho,’ and so I just asked them to sing it once, and they sang it every single time,” Monahan smiled. “And that’s why it felt so big, because they just wanted to be a part of it. We feel honored to be able to go to the U.K. or Europe or anywhere in the world, and get people to care at all. That was the first time they heard it, and they acted like it had been on the radio for months.” “MTV World Stage: Train” premieres Friday, December 17, at 9 p.m. ET on Palladia. Justin Bieber Is MTV News’ #3 Man Of The Year

In 2010, the pop star cleans up at awards shows, causes worldwide pandemonium — and turns 16. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber Photo: Michael Caulfield/AMA2010/Getty/DCP Justin Bieber seemingly did it all in 2010. He sold out concerts, filmed a movie, released two albums and set girls hearts aflutter — all in the span of 12 months. Not only is he arguably the biggest pop star in the world, he’s also pals with some of hip-hop’s biggest names (just ask Drake, Ludacris and Kanye West if you don’t believe us), and he chills with some of the prettiest girls in the game thanks to friendships with ladies like Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez. (They’re more than just pretty faces, but you can still check out photos of our Men and Women of 2010!) This really is Justin Bieber’s world, and we’re all just living in it. For a kid from a small town in Canada, Bieber’s meteoric rise to fame from Internet sensation to bona fide musical superstar may have seemed fast, but let’s face it: Bieber is the real deal. 2010 Highlights : Justin Bieber kicked off 2010 with his smash single “Baby.” He also showed his charitable side appearing on BET’s “SOS: Help for Haiti” telethon and lending his voice to the “We Are the World” remake . He was also a presenter at the Grammy Awards alongside Ke$ha. Bieber then went bowling with Drake and Ludacris in his “Baby” video and would later date the clip’s leading lady, Jasmine Villegas . In February, Justin caused hysteria in Paris during a trip to Europe, and then in March, he turned sweet 16, collaborated with Sean Kingston on the track “Eeenie Meenie” and had Aziz Ansari mock him in a Funny or Die clip he thought was “hilarious.” He also released his sophomore album, My World 2.0, which he promised would be “a lot of fun.” Bieber became the subject of his own “Diary” special in late March, released his video for “Never Let You Go” and made an appearance at the Teen Choice Awards. He kicked off April by taking over Funny or Die , where he joked, “I’m a star. I do what stars do. I ride on yachts. I autograph lady lumps.” That same month, Bieber once again showed his funny side on “Saturday Night Live,” where he was the night’s musical guest. He sat down with MTV News and thanked his fans for making him a constant Twitter trend . He shook up New Zealand and Australia, causing more fan hysteria, and by May, his fans were threatening the life of Kim Kardashian just for taking a Twitpic with him! In June, he hooked up with Jaden Smith for the “Karate Kid” track “Never Say Never.” He was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards and hung out with his mentor Usher in the “Somebody to Love” video . That same month, Bieber was a big winner at the Much Music Awards and kicked off his first-ever headlining tour . The second half of 2010 was just as busy for the star. In July, he and Lady Gaga battled it out for YouTube supremacy and announced he’d be on “CSI” and releasing a book . (He followed through on all those promises by year’s end.) By the end of August, Kanye West’s remix of “Runaway Love” hit the world, and it was announced that Bieber would be performing at the VMAs. He also filmed the concert portions of his 3-D movie at Madison Square Garden. JB hit the stage at the VMAs in September and even took home his first-ever Moonman . At the show, he shared with MTV News that “girlfriends are trouble.” He made his cameo on “CSI” and premiered his video for “U Smile,” and then in October, he revealed the name of his 3-D flick — “Never Say Never” — as well as the first trailer for the movie . In November, he released his book and his My Worlds Acoustic album and took home a few American Music Awards . And that brings us to December, when he sat down with Barbara Walters , made Google’s Zeitgeist list and went out for pancakes with Selena Gomez . If doing all that in 12 months isn’t reason enough to make Justin Bieber our #3 Man of the Year, then we’re not sure what can. We’ll be rolling out our Top Five Men and Women of 2010 all week, until we unveil MTV News’ Man and Woman of the Year on Friday. As always, we want to know what you think, so share your picks in the comments below! Related Videos Men And Women Of The Year 2010 Related Photos The Men & Women Of 2010

Cyber theft of $200,000 from Gregg County TX tax

LONGVIEW, Texas — An East Texas county has halted electronic fund transfers after cyber hackers believed to be in Russia allegedly stole $200,000 in tax-related funds. The Longview News-Journal reported Tuesday that Gregg County, state and federal authorities are investigating. Tax assessor/collector Kirk Shields said Monday that local tax payments destined for schools and cities were hijacked. Shields says confirmation of Nov. 23 theft, discovered in progress and traced to a website in Moscow, has led to changes in the county's method for moving funds. Thieves use malicious software, known as malware, to infect the computers of unsuspecting users by e-mail. Shields says a county employee who mistakenly unleashed the virus has been suspended for violating cyber-security policy. Efforts continue to retrieve the funds and identify the hackers. ___ Online: http://www.co.gregg.tx.us/default.asp ___ added by: ras_menelik
