EXCLUSIVE: Alex Karpovsky Endures God-Awful Road-Trip Singalong In ‘Red Flag’ Video Clip

Girls   actor Alex Karpovsky is pretty great at conveying simmering annoyance with his tomahawk-like face, and he has plenty to be annoyed about in this exclusive video clip from the dark comedy  Red Flag, which he wrote and directed. I hope the song that actors Onur Tukel and Jennifer Prediger are caterwauling in the car was improvised by them during filmmaking because it would be crap-tastic even if Adele sang it. (Please don’t tell me Adele does sing it.) Here’s the official synopsis for the film: A laugh-out-loud road trip comedy, starring writer/director Alex Karpovsky (“Girls”) as Alex Karpovsky, a newly-single indie filmmaker who hits the road with an old friend (Onur Tukel) to promote one of his films. As the pair travels from one half-empty theater to the next, pursued by an adoring fan (Jennifer Prediger) who drives them into an exceptionally uncomfortable love triangle, Alex-as-Alex is forced to suffer an endless series of humiliations, each one more absurd than the last. I’m totally guessing here, but I bet Henry becomes even more annoying after he goes into that casino and loses that misshapen wad of money he’s flashing. The answer will be available on Tuesday when Red Flag and another Karpovsky-directed title, Rubberneck , premieres on VOD and then opens theatrically on Friday, Feb. 22. And if that song that Tukel and Prediger are butchering is an actual song, can someone please tell me what it is so I can mock it more specifically?  Thanks. Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter . WATCH: Bruce Willis Watches His Fans Yell Hard At ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ Premiere

The day before A Good Day to Die Hard hit theaters, fans in New York City sat through a marathon screening of the first four films at the AMC Empire 25 — and were rewarded with a visit from John McClane himself, Bruce Willis, before seeing the new film. Jai Courtney, who plays McClane’s grown-up son in the film, was also in attendance, and both actors agreed their characters share a common trait: stubbornness.  “Just like most guys,” said Willis, “he thinks he knows everything and…doesn’t.” I also asked Courtney if the stunts in Die Hard films, or at least this one, are as old school as they look.  “We blew things up. For real.” Courtney bragged.  “There’s over a hundred cars being crashed, for real.” Check out my full red carpet interview below, and watch more than one hundred fans blowing out their lungs as they scream for the return of this 25-year-old franchise: Follow Grace Randolph on  Twitter . WATCH: Greta Gerwig Acts Like 27 Is The New 47 In ‘Frances Ha’ Clip

Who needs Eeyore when you’ve got the lovely and witty  Greta Gerwig feeling blue in black and white in this clip from Noah Baumbach ‘s Frances Ha . Gerwig is Frances, a live-in-the-moment New Yorker  with a knack for getting herself into awkward situations. In this clip, Frances frets over whether she looks older than her 27 years, and her anxiety is helped along by Michael Zegen ( The Walking Dead) who assures her that “27 is old, though.” Zegen’s character must be in his 20s, too, because most men know by the time they turn 30 that loaded questions like that should be avoided at all costs. Frances Ha gets a limited release date on May 17. For reference, the poster is not black and white. It’s hot pink. Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter.  Follow Movieline on Twitter.

Who Was The Best Looking Hip-Hop Power Couple At The Grammys? [Photos]

The 55th annual Grammy Awards were last night, and today we go over who got slighted (ahem…Nas), who rocked the show and who wore what. Hip-Hop and R&B heads are also inevitably discussing and debating which power couple looked the freshest on the red carpet or at the show… Continue

Zach Attack: Galifianakis Annoys Jen Lawrence & Other Oscar Noms On ‘Between Two Ferns’

After all the tiptoeing and carefully constructed speechifying that has accompanied the Oscar race so far, it’s fun to see Jennifer Lawrence, Naomi Watts , Christoph Waltz , Anne Hathaway and Amy Adams engaging in the comedy equivalent of a WWE wrestling match with Zach Galifianakis on a special “Oscar edition” of his   Funny or Die talk show, Between Two Ferns .   Galifianakis does a pretty wonderful job here of using absurdity to send up the many absurd and inane elements of awards season. Hearing him describe the episode as  “A special Oscar insight to Oscar nominees and all of their Oscar buzzness around them” made me laugh and wince at the same time. And if there is a part two to this, I hope that Joaquin (The Oscars are “bullshit”)  Phoenix  is one of the guests. What a conversation they could have — even if it’s brief. In the meantime, pay attention to the details: Lawrence’s surly “you shouldn’t eat any more pudding” remark to her host is a thing of beauty, as is Waltz’s comment to the woman who comes to collect him after Galifianakis plays him off with a Staples “Easy” button. Hathaway’s flirty drunk act is also entertaining, as is the onscreen text that identifies her as “Anne Halfway,” the star of a “French movie.”  And Adams’ line about farting on her tits is almost as good as her hand-job scene in The Master.  [ Funny or Die ] Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Skin Not a Winner at the 55th Grammy Awards [PICS]

After CBS released that ridiculously stringent Grammy’s dresscode forbidding any “ female breast nipples ” and “ bare fleshy under curves ”, we were hoping that the stars would flash flesh in pure defiance. Sadly, the 55th annual Grammy Awards turned out to be a skin snoozefest, with only a pastie-covered sideboob slip from Miley Cyrus at a Pre-Grammy Gala, and a nipply display from Rihanna in a thin red dress. More after the jump!
