Kate Middleton Pregnant? Denmark Trip Sparks Rumor

Is Kate Middleton pregnant? The Duchess has ignited speculation that she is expecting once again after a visit to a UNICEF distribution center in Copenhagen, Denmark. With Prince William at her side, Kate avoided a certain food product as they sampled items from UNICEF aid packages sent to famine-stricken East African countries. While members of the Danish royal family and William tasted peanut paste, Kate politely refused and reportedly gave her husband of six months a knowing look. Doctors have frequently recommended pregnant women avoid peanuts and byproducts while expecting in order to help prevent allergies in their babies-to-be. What’s more, The Palace itself even “went out of their way to stress that she has no nut allergy whatsoever,” an editor for Britain’s The Sun told ABC News. Whenever William and Kate Middleton welcome their first child, he or she will inherit the throne. The rules were changed to allow a first-born daughter to rule. If they have a girl first, that is. The UK monarchy recently agreed that a first-born girl should be able to ascend the throne even if she has younger brothers. Still, pregnancy speculation or not, Middleton is certainly not displaying any bump just yet; Britain’s Best Dressed was slim and stylish as ever in Denmark. Congratulations … maybe!

Recession Must Not Be THAT Real: The “Sister Wives” Now Have 17 Kids Between Them

Add this to the list of many things we just don’t understand about this whole “Sister Wives” concept. Sister Wives star Kody Brown and his fourth wife Robyn welcomed their newest son to their polygamist family on Wednesday, bringing the total number of children in the family to 17. Solomon Brown was born at 2:02 a.m. on Wednesday in the family’s Las Vegas home, and he weighed 9 lbs., 10.5 oz., and is 22 inches long. Dad Kody was reportedly thrilled with the new baby, telling a magazine “He’s perfect and we couldn’t be happier.” The controversial family is headed by Kody who has four wives in total. Meri, Janelle and Christine are original spouse Robyn’s “sister wives” and the family has left Utah and are struggling with the changes in their lives separated in four houses in Nevada. So, four mortgages AND 17 kids?? That works for y’all? In 2011? Must be nice. Source

In White Folks Who Won’t Let Their Exes Be Great News: Tony Romo And His New Wife Confirm Pregnancy Before Jessica Simpson

Damn it Romo . It’s not bad enough that Jessica still cheers for your Dallas Cowboys more than her husband-to-be and the 49ers or that you and your Jessica replacement made it down the aisle before Jessica and her Romo replacement did? Tony Romo, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, announced that he and his wife, Candice Crawford, are having a baby! The handsome NFL star revealed the good news on Tuesday at the Cedar Hill High School in Texas, telling the students: “I actually have one on the way. My wife is pregnant.” He and Candice tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in May and have been pretty low key since their nuptials. Romo famously dated Jessica Simpson, who seems to be showing off an ever growing baby bump of her own, although she has yet to announce the good news. You couldn’t let her have this one either huh? Congratulations… we guess. Source

Hide Ya Kids! Study Shows 1 In 10 Texas 11-Year-Olds Have Given Up Their Goodies

Hide Ya Kids! Especially if you live in Texas… According to a study out of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston: 1. Almost one in 10 Texas 6th graders have had sex. 2. The percentage of Texas7th and 8th graders who have had sex is 22 and 29 percent respectively. 3. Of high school-aged kids, 32 percent of 9th graders, 41 percent of 10th graders, 53 percent of 11th graders and 62 percent of 12th graders have had sex. 4. Just over one third of the entire public middle and high school population are sexually experienced. 5. Texas students are more likely to report having had sex with four or more partners and are less likely to have used birth control or condoms. 6. Texas students are also significantly less likely to receive education about HIV or AIDS in school. 7. Males are significantly more likely than their counterparts to report having sex for the first time before age 13, having more than four partners and using drugs or alcohol before having sex. The results come from an analysis of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey, the CDC’s Middle School Youth Risk Behavior Survey and the University of Texas Prevention Research Center’s All About Youth study. Guess that explains why Rick Perry wanted all the kids to get the HPV vaccine before 6th grade… But seriously, where are these kids’ parents? Source

THEE Epitome Of Trifling Parents: Couple Sells Their Baby To Drug Dealers For $13K, A Lincoln, And Some Oxycontin

And to top it all off, the baby was born addicted to methadone: A Cass County Jail inmate denies trading his 4-month-old son for money and drugs, saying he and his wife turned the child over to another couple because they could not care for him. “In no kind of way did we sell our baby. Not money, not drugs, nor a simple car have any part in the adoption process,” Brandon Riggs wrote in a letter to the Pharos-Tribune. Police say Riggs and his wife, Anna Riggs, sold their son for $13,000, a car and drugs to Stephen P. Lynch Jr., and his wife, Melissa D. Lynch. All four were charged with Class A felony conspiracy to deal in a narcotic, as well as conspiracy to commit child selling and profiting from an adoption as D felonies. The Riggses also were charged with welfare fraud for allegedly receiving nearly $3,000 in food stamps and assistance from December 2009 through July 31, 2011, even though their child no longer lived with them. The child, now 2 years old, has been placed in the care of Child Protective Services. Writing from his jail cell, Brandon Riggs denies the accusations. He also defends he and his wife’s decision to turn over their little boy and praises the couple who have been raising him, calling the Lynches “good people, as well as parents.” “Of course, everyone can point a finger at the next person and say, ‘They’ve got problems.’ But who’s perfect? Everyone has problems. Some worse than others,” Brandon Riggs wrote. “Then there’s breaking the law. In this case, I don’t see where we broke the law. All we attempted to do was the right thing. In everyone’s best interest. At the time, we were in no way capable of caring for a newborn, let alone a newborn with medical complications. We couldn’t keep up our own lives together.” According to a probable cause affidavit filed Oct. 6, Stephen and Melissa Lynch gave Brandon and Anna Riggs $13,000, a car valued at $3,531 and drugs in exchange for the child. Police say the Lynches also delivered drugs such as OxyContin, oxycodone, morphine sulfate, Xanax and methadone to the Riggs in March, knowing the couple were addicts, police say. The affidavit also states the child was born with a methadone addiction. Brandon Riggs acknowledges in his letter that the couple was “trapped” in addiction. “The news and newspapers have made us out to be ‘strung-out monsters,’” Brandon Riggs wrote. “One could say we were ‘strung out.’ I guess that’s part of addiction, but far from monsters.” That’s what prompted the couple to turn their son over to the Lynches, in what Brandon Riggs refers to repeatedly as an “adoption.” “We went to an attorney and signed legal documents for the adoption,” he wrote. “After that, I don’t know where things stopped. I thought that’s why people used lawyers.” An investigation by a Howard County sheriff’s deputy showed that a petition for adoption had been filed in March in Howard Circuit Court, but no background check or home study had been done, which is a requirement of the adoption process, according to the affidavit. Brandon Riggs said he was writing the letter to “clear up and/or clean my name as well as my wife’s.” “I simply want people to evaluate this situation in a different light other than the light shown by authorities,” he wrote. “You can’t just read the back of a book and get the whole story. You do have to read it all the way through to understand the whole story.” The last sentence of his letter reads: “I hope I have changed at least a few people’s perceptions.” Sounds like these people are clearly strung out monsters…SMH. Who the fawk does stuff like that??? Source

Urban Outfitters Has The Navajo Nation’s Panties In A Bunch… Literally

The corporate culture vultures are at it again… Urban Outfitters is in trouble with the Navajo Nation for using their name in vain to peddle nasty panties and flasks for their lil lushie customers. Native American-inspired prints have shown up on runways for years, and it’s common for designers to borrow from other cultures. But the Navajo government’s issue with Urban Outfitters is the clothing chain’s use of the name “Navajo” on its products and in marketing. The tribe holds at least 10 trademarks on the name that cover clothing, footwear, online retail sales, household products and textiles. The tribe’s Department of Justice sent Urban Outfitters CEO Glen Senk a cease-and-desist letter in June, demanding that the company pull the Navajo name from its products. The tribe has received no response but says it remains “cautiously optimistic” it can persuade Urban Outfitters to adopt another name and trademark. “When products that have absolutely no connection to the Navajo Nation, its entities, its people, and their products are marketed and retailed under the guise that they are Navajo in origin, the Navajo Nation does not regard this as benign or trivial,” said Brian Lewis, an attorney for the tribe. “It takes appropriate action to maintain distinctiveness and clarity of valid name association in the market and society.” Urban Outfitters, which has stores across the country and overseas, said it has not heard from the NavajoNation and has no plans to alter its products. “Like many other fashion brands, we interpret trends and will continue to do so for years to come,” company spokesman Ed Looram said. “The Native American-inspired trend and specifically the term ‘Navajo’ have been cycling through fashion, fine art and design for the last few years.” While the Navajo Nation has not threatened legal action, law professor Bill Hennessey thinks it has a strong case. He said the tribe could argue the products cause confusion among customers about who manufactured them. Hennessey points specifically to a trademark governing textiles that was registered to a Navajo Nation enterprise in 2008. “If you’re going to maintain control over your mark, the more quickly you bring an action against the infringer, the more likely the federal court is going to grant an injunction order prohibiting Urban Outfitters from continuing to use the word ‘Navajo,’” said Hennessey, who teaches at the University of New Hampshire’s Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property. Urban Outfitters labels more than 20 products on its website with the word “Navajo,” including jackets, earrings, scarves and sneakers. But the two items that have sparked possibly the most controversy online are the “Navajo Hipster Panty,” and the “Navajo Print Fabric Wrapped Flask.” Both have geometric designs common in Navajo arts and crafts. Dwayne Clauschee, a designer from the Navajo town of Chinle in Arizona, said Urban Outfitters and other clothing companies are trying to cash in on a trend he believes has been done more respectfully and tastefully in higher-end fashion. A “Navajo” flask is “extremely insensitive” considering the long history of alcohol abuse among Native tribes, many of which ban the sale and consumption of alcohol on their reservations, he said. The Navajo Nation is among them. And branding underwear as “Navajo” goes against the tribe’s spiritual beliefs of modesty and avoidance of indecency, Clauschee said. Jessica Metcalfe, a Turtle Mountain Chippewa from North Dakota who writes a Native American fashion blog, tells Urban Outfitters to knock it off. “Don’t claim Navajo, unless it’s Navajo, and you ain’t Navajo.” Sasha Houston Brown of the Santee Sioux Nation posted a letter online to the company saying it “has taken Indigenous life ways and artistic expressions and trivialized and sexualized them for the sake of corporate profit.” Well said… What do you think? Shouldn’t those Urban Outfitters wanksters be more apologetic???
