Beyonce has gone ahead and presented fans with a couple early Christmas gifts. We may not be able to take them home — but we’ll be able to savor them forever and ever. The 22-time Grammy Awards winner has shared two new photos of her 18-month-old twins, Rumi and Sir Carter, posting the images on her website late Thursday. The precious snapshots appear to be from Beyoncé’s recent trip to South Asia, with the above portraits depicting a sweet mother-daughter moment on a sandy beach. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been extraordinarily careful with how frequently they give the public a glimpse at their children… … for very understandable reasons, of course. We’re talking about one of the most famous and powerful couples on the planet. We totally get why the superstars would be hesitant to reveal the faces of their toddlers to the public. In this second picture, we just see the backs of Rumi and Sir, who are splashing in the ocean and staring out into the universe while donning matching white outfits. Prior to this very welcome surprise, Beyonce had previously shared photos of her babies back in July when she and her family were on vacation in Europe. At that time, the artist posted a snap of herself carrying her twins, who smiled adorably on her lap. She shared sweet moments with her six-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, and Jay-Z together, as well. Beyonce didn’t say anything as an accompaniment to those images or to the new ones featured above, either. That’s not how she rolls. She doesn’t need captions when the photos themselves are so cute and perfect and gorgeous just on their own. Beyonce gave birth to Sir and Rumi in June of 2017, about four months after she shattered the Internet with her announcement. “We would like to share our love and happiness,” Beyonce wrote along with a picture of her bare baby bump back on February 1, 2017, adding on that memorable date: “We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes.” There had been incessant rumors and speculation over when Bey and Jay would give Blue a sibling ever since they became first-time parents. As previously mentioned, the couple almost never discusses its twins — but Jay-Z couldn’t help but gush about his youngest children this past January. “We are in a beautiful time now because … they can’t move,” the 48-year-old rapper joked in an interview with CNN’s Van Jones. “They can just coo … they just coo and you don’t have to, ‘Wait, wait, wait, wait.’ “You know, they’re not running anywhere yet. We are going to enjoy these couple of months until they start running, and then it’s over.” Welp, we guess it’s over by now in that case.
