Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra Celebrate Their 12th Anniversary!!!

Want to know something crazy? It’s been eight years to the day since Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s episode of 16 and Pregnant aired on MTV! That means that, exactly eight years ago, we were first introduced to this couple — it’s been a wild ride, huh? And, as it turns out, the Baltierras have another important anniversary this weekend … Their 12th anniversary of dating, to be exact! Yes, Catelynn and Tyler, Teen Mom’s middle school sweethearts , have been together for twelve whole years, and to celebrate the special occasion, Tyler wrote a painfully sweet post on Instagram. “I can’t believe that today marks 12 years together with you,” he wrote, tagging Catelynn. “Babe you literally are the greatest gift this life has given me! We were only kids when we fell in love, but we were kids who knew what we wanted out of life & who we wanted to get it with.” “Not a lot of people get that opportunity or blessing at such a young age,” he added. “Even though we were so young,” Tyler continued, “I wish I could go back as far as I could just to love you longer!” “I am just so happy & honored to be your husband. I love you SO much!” He added the hashtags “Happy Anniversary,” “12 Years Strong,” “Soul Mates,” and “Middle School Sweetheart.” It’s so sweet you can hardly stand it, right? But, as any Teen Mom fan would know, things haven’t always been that great for them. On their 16 and Pregnant episode, we saw that they both had troubled home lives — or they shared one, really, since Catelynn’s mother, April, married Tyler’s father, Butch. Butch and April both had big issues with addiction, and neither of them were there for their children like they needed to be. They both criticized Cate and Tyler’s decision to place their daughter, Carly for adoption. Those poor kids were ridiculed to no end for making a mature, responsible decision. After Catelynn gave birth and little Carly was placed with her adoptive parents, the two teenagers still struggled with their parents. Things got so bad that Catelynn moved in with Tyler and his mother for a while to get away from April and Butch. It wasn’t all bad times though. About a year after Carly was born, Tyler proposed to Catelynn! They held off on a wedding for years though — long enough to work out their relationships with their parents, to mature a bit, and to have a darling little daughter, Nova . In August of 2015, they finally tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony. And while they still have some problems — who doesn’t? — it’s obvious that they’re still very much in love with each other. Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra Respond to Backlash Over Fake Pregnancy Joke: Get a Sense of Humor, People!

Earlier today, we reported on one of the stranger Teen Mom social media controversies in recent memory. It all began when Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra began discussing their desire to have a third child on Twitter. It’s anyone’s guess as to why a married couple would need to have such a conversation on social media rather than, ya know, face-to-face, but while the parental figures of the Teen Mom franchise love ’em some free publicity, we doubt the Baltierras expected this : Things started out innocently enough, with Catelynn tweeting: “Wahhh I’m ready for another baby @TylerBaltierra.” Tyler (or T-Balz, as we like to call him) wrote back, “Me too babe.” That’s when Catelynn made the (arguably unfortunate) decision to tweet the following photo: She captioned the image: “Proud to announce a new baby Baltierra @tylerbaltierramtv.” Clearly it was a joke, but if you’ve looked at a calendar recently, you know that it’s 2017, and 2017 is the year in which everyone gets pissed off about everything. A number of fans didn’t think the joke was funny for a number of reasons. Some thought Lowell was really pregnant and … felt let down, we guess? Others thought the joke was insensitive to those who struggled with infertility. Still others blamed Tyler and Catelynn for that Kendall Jenner Pepsi commercial . Okay, we’re joking about that last part, but in all seriousness, a good number of fans were legitimately outraged, and Tyler responded by basically informing them that he’d run out of f–ks to give long, long ago: “Apparently the world can’t take jokes anymore…don’t worry #TeenMomOG will be back on the air soon so we can disappoint you some more,” Tyler tweeted. “I actually love all of those critics. The fake profile pics & repetitive insults based on the lack of creativity…they just crack me up.” Asked if he could see how some might have thought the joke was insensitive, Tyler responded: “Yes, I’m the lowest piece of s–t, insensitive, entitled, asshole & a sorry excuse of a human being & I shouldn’t be allowed to reproduce.” Man, when that guy does sarcasm, he does sarcasm . For her part, Catelynn responded in a very different and much, much more confusing way: “Why don’t u just go back to ur real family?” she tweeted. “Not like we have mattered anyways.. to u it’s just the thought that mattered” Uh … we really have no idea as to what that might mean. We’re thinking Catelynn meant to subtweet someone, but instead she just tossed that bad boy out there with no context. Of course, we think it’s safe to say she wasn’t in a great mood when she wrote it, so you can be sure it will lead to more rumors about Catelynn and Tyler getting divorced . This has been Teen Mom Twitter Theater. Tune in the next time something pops off, which should be in 20 minutes or so.

Catelynn Lowell & Tyler Baltierra: Showing Signs Their Marriage Is in Trouble?

Last month, reports that Tyler Baltierra was cheating on Catelynn Lowell began to circulate on social media. Sometimes, it’s difficult to determine the starting point of such rumors, but in this case it all started with Tyler himself. Baltierra joked that he and Catelynn cheat on each other , but since sarcasm goes over on the Internet about as well as climate science at a Trump rally, the remark was not well received. Fans either missed the joke or accused him of being insensitive for making it. The former group apparently thought that Baltierra actually chose to first come clean about his own infidelity and then accuse his wife of cheating – all on Twitter. The latter group understands that Tyler is joking, but thinks it’s insensitive, considering Catelynn recently left rehab after being treated for various emotional and psychological issues. Yes, they’re actually telling him what sort of jokes he’s allowed to make with his wife. Anyway, both groups are now scrutinizing the couple’s every move in search of signs of trouble, and they believe they’ve found one in this Instagram photo uploaded today by Amber Portwood: As you can see, the Baltierras aren’t posed quite as affectionately as the other couples. Naturally, the Dr. Phil/Sherlock Holmes hybrids of the Internet took it upon themselves to offer some unsolicited couples counseling based on this single image: “Weird Tyler doesn’t touch his wife,” one fan commented . “It’s sad really. He seems like, ‘I’m stuck with her’ attitude lately,” wrote another. Some fans claimed their beliefe that Tyler and Catelynn are headed for divorce was based not only on this photo, but also on their recent social media interactions. Again, we can’t stress enough that the exchanged fans went nuts over were clearly made in jest. Here’s a sample quote from Tyler: “Well it goes both ways. Sometimes I booze while she cheats, sometimes she’ll booze while I cheat. It just depends on the day of the week.” That’s not a tweet from a guy who’s marriage is in trouble. Teen Mom OG Season 4 Preview: Who’s Having Another Kid?!

Well, it looks like another season of Teen Mom: OG will soon be upon us. MTV made the announcement on last night’s live Teen Mom 2 after-show, confirming rumors that Amber, Catelynn, Farrah and Maci will soon be delivering drama as only they can. An accompanying press release gives us an idea of what we can expect from the fab four, and it sounds like the ladies are in no danger of running low on surprises: Despite rumors that Tyler Baltierra is cheating on Catelynn Lowell , it seems the fan favorites are still together (or at least they were at the time of filming). In fact, according to MTV, they’re trying for a second kid! Yes, the network says Tyler and Catelynn will spend much of the season talking about bringing a younger sibling for Novalee into the world. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean things are any more stable for the Baltierras than they were last season. Catelynn is still undergoing treatment for a number of mental health issues, and Tyler is reportedly suffering from depression triggered in part by his father’s ongoing legal issues. Elsewhere in the cast, Amber is attempting to work out a new custody arrangement with Gary, but it seems he’s inflexible on the matter of allowing Leah to stay with her mother on school nights. The recent news that Amber is facing eviction after failing to pay rent for several months probably won’t help her case. Meanwhile, Farrah is focused on opening up the children’s boutique operated by her daughter, because every 7-year-olds who aren’t also CEOs are just slackers, ya know? Following her wedding to Tayloy McKinney, Maci continues to lead a more stable life than the rest of the ladies, but her peaceful existence is upended by the news that Ryan Edwards is engaged to girlfriend Mackenzie. Will the presence of another woman complicate her amicable co-parenting arrangement? This is Teen Mom we’re talking about, so probably yes. Whatever the case, it sounds like all of the ladies are in for a full season of ups and downs. Tyler Baltierra: My Dad Went to Jail Because He Relapsed!

If you watched last night’s episode of Teen Mom: OG , then you know the hard times are still going for Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra.  Once considered the franchise’s most stable couple, Tyler and Catelynn have experienced more than their share of difficulties over the past 15 episodes. Much of their screentime was devoted to Catelynn’s rehab stint and emotional struggles, but the Baltierras were thrown a second curveball recently thanks to the difficulties experienced by Tyler’s dad. Watch Teen Mom OG Season 3 Episode 15 Online Last month, Butch Baltierra went back to jail not long after celebrating the one-year anniversary of his initial release. Butch has been in trouble with the law throughout much of his life, primarily as a result of his crippling substance abuse issues. The MTV cameras were rolling when Tyler received word that his dad was back behind bars. Check out that heartbreaking moment in the clip below: Tyler Baltierra: Dad Violates Parole, Goes Back to Jail The news came as a shock to viewers, as Butch seemed to be making a concerted effort to get his life back together. Sadly, Tyler wasn’t so surprised, as he’s seen his dad fall apart in the past. He opened up about this most recent experience during an interview with Dr. Drew Pinksy on Teen Mom: OG reunion special, airing December 5: “He was doing fine I guess and then he missed a parole meeting and his parole officer wanted to violate him so now he’s in jail,” Baltierra told Dr. Drew . “He’s supposed to be off parole in 90 days. He came back from his parole meeting the week before all excited and proud of himself.” Tyler added: “I know exactly what’s going on. I think he’s using. I think he used or he relapsed.” Tyler says there were signs that his father was using again in the weeks leading up to his imprisonment: “He was sleeping in later,” Baltierra said. “And not coming home a lot.” In the past, Tyler has severed ties with his dad as a result of his drug use.
