Mad Men Cast Sort of Sings "Never Gonna Give You Up" [Video]

The Mad Men cast has been Rick Rolled. Sort of. In a hilarious new video making its way around the Web, Jon Hamm and company perform Rick Astley’s 1987 smash “Never Gonna Give You Up” by dancing around and taking turns uttering words that add up to the lyrics of this classic tune. It’s a fun technique we’ve seen many times before, including with Barack Obama and Justin Bieber . Watch and enjoy now:

Killing Them Softly: Michelle Obama Brought Down The House With Her DNC Speech!

Don’t act like you didn’t tear up a little bit. First Lady Michelle Obama graced the stage tonight with a history-making speech that was filled with passion, determination, and most importantly, that human connection none of us felt last week when the Republicans had their turn. She spoke up for our children, all Women and their rights to equal pay and to make decisions for their bodies, and what it’s really like to be an American with convictions and heart. With such stories, the first lady sought to counter Republicans trying to paint Obama as something other than a typical American, and implied that it was Romney who couldn’t relate to people trying to get by in tough economic times. “In the end, for Barack, these issues aren’t political. They’re personal,” she said. “I’m going to try to not let them see their daddy cry because when Michelle starts talking, I start getting all misty,” Obama said at rally earlier Tuesday in Norfolk, Va. With a mix of personal anecdotes and policy talk, Mrs. Obama’s speech was by far her most political yet. “Today, after so many struggles and triumphs and moments that have tested my husband in ways I never could have imagined, I have seen firsthand that being president doesn’t change who you are – it reveals who you are,” she said. To that send, the first lady painted a portrait of a leader who knows first-hand the struggles of everyday Americans, who listens to them as president, and who pushes an agenda with their interests in mind. “That’s the man I see in those quiet moments late at night, hunched over his desk, poring over the letters people have sent him,” she said. “I see the concern in his eyes … and I hear the determination in his voice as he tells me, `You won’t believe what these folks are going through, Michelle . it’s not right. We’ve got to keep working to fix this. We’ve got so much more to do.”” She added: “I see how that’s what drives Barack Obama every single day.” In case you missed the amazing intro…or if you’re like us and you want to watch it again, here you go! You made us all really proud and inspired tonight Michelle. The best damn FLOTUS this country has had in a very long time! Source Photos via GettyImages/Youtube

Never Ending Shade: Texas Residents Say This Billboard Calls For President Obama’s Death…Do You Agree?

Take a closer look and judge for yourself… Secret Service Investigating Billboard Calling For President Obama’s Death The GOP and their supporters have really been pushing the limit lately with the anti-Obama smear tactics, but this billboard in Texas may just be the last straw. A billboard sign in Victoria, Texas had drawn an investigation by the Secret Service. The controversial sign seems harmless at a glance because it says, “Pray for Obama” and then quotes a scripture,Psalms 109:8., but it is the scripture that has caused an uproar. Psalms 109:8 reads, “Let his days be few, and let another take his office.” The man behind the sign, Milton Neitsch Jr., says that he did not think that people would notice that the sign was calling for the President’s life to end soon. He must have assumed the people of Victoria, Texas did not know the scriptures. Many people are calling the sign hateful and inappropriate and they say that it is using the holy scriptures in the wrong way. Many people are also demanding that the sign must come down. Neitsch claims that he saw an e-mail from one of his buddies that called for the President’s days to “be few” and decided to pay for it to go on a billboard on North Navarro Street in Victoria, Texas. The fact that the Secret Services is taking the time to look into this certainly all but confirms the intent of the message , but some feel that the scripture in question was included to reference President Obama’s days in office being numbered rather than his days on earth. *Sideeye.* Do you buy it? Eastwooding: Empty-Chair Meme Explodes After Actor’s RNC Speech

The biggest story to come out of Thursday’s conclusion of the Republican National Convention was not Mitt Romney’s acceptance specch , but #Eastwooding. Eastwooding being the Twitter hashtag for parodies, jokes and memes at the expense of acting legend Clint Eastwood’s unusual, yet highly entertaining speech. The 82-year-old debated an invisible Obama in an empty chair in what had to be the strangest endorsement of Romney all week, and the Internet went nuts. Here’s the original photo – angled so Invisible Obama still uses a teleprompter (subtly hilarious) – along with some of our favorite celebrity-based parodies: Clint expressing utter disgust with Keanu Reeves’ first term: Clint debating Paris Hilton (basically an empty void of air): President Obama actually showing up for the debate: Clint debating the Princess Leia hologram from Star Wars: McKayla Maroney is not impressed by the stunt (or most other things):

President Obama Responds to Clint Eastwood RNC Speech: This Seat’s Taken!

Clint Eastwood’s Invisible Obama routine was the talk of the 2012 Republican National Convention, and it caught the attention of the Commander-in-Chief himself. Before Mitt Romney’s RNC speech last night, the actor, director and ardent GOPer made a rambling speech that featured him talking to “Obama” in an empty chair. The President’s response? A picture – sent from @BarackObama, run by his campaign – of him sitting in a chair marked The President. The caption: “This seat’s taken.” Eastwood’s unorthodox speech instantly spawned memes galore, not to mention an @InvisibleObama Twitter account, which already has more than 47,000 followers. No word if Clint and/or Mitt have friended the invisible POTUS on there, but his bit – for better or worse – was unquestionably a highlight of the RNC. “So I’ve got Mr. Obama sitting here … Mr. President, how do you handle promises you’ve made?” the 82-year-old Oscar winner asked the chair at one point. You can see for yourself below … but spoiler alert, it gave no response.

Ringleader Of Murderous Army Militia Group That Plotted To Assassinate President Obama Had Political Past As A Page At The 2008 Republican National Convention

These militias aren’t playing… The recent arrests of several suspected domestic terrorists, and alleged murderers, who were active in the U.S. army have also revealed shocking ties to the Republican party: Isaac Aguigui, the Army private and alleged ringleader of a plot to assassinate Barack Obama and “take over” Ft. Stewart in Georgia, apparently served as a page at the 2008 Republican National Convention in Minnesota. That’s his mug shot after he was arrested for the alleged murder of Pvt. Michael Roark on the left. At right is a 2008 Reuters photo with the caption: “Republican National Convention page Isaac Aguigui watches from the edge of the floor at the start of the first session of the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota September 1, 2008.” Aguigui, according to Georgia prosecutors, financed a plot to kill the president, take over Ft. Stewart and poison apple orchards in Washington state with a $500,000 insurance settlement he got last year after his wife’s death. The group—its numbers are unknown—called itself F.E.A.R., for Forever Enduring, Always Ready. Aguigui is one of four soldiers charged in Roark’s death, allegedly because he was a “loose end” who threatened to foil their plans. According to the AP, Aguigui and his compatriots bore “distinctive tattoos that resemble an anarchy symbol,” but that’s the extent of the reporting thus far on their political motives. What the hell???? Here’s more on their plot via AP reports : Four Army soldiers based in southeast Georgia killed a former comrade and his girlfriend to protect an anarchist militia group they formed that stockpiled assault weapons and plotted a range of anti-government attacks, prosecutors told a judge Monday. Prosecutors in rural Long County, near the sprawling Army post Fort Stewart, said the militia group of active and former U.S. military members spent at least $87,000 buying guns and bomb components. They allege the group was serious enough to kill two people – former soldier Michael Roark and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Tiffany York – by shooting them in the woods last December in order to keep its plans secret. “This domestic terrorist organization did not simply plan and talk,” prosecutor Isabel Pauley told a Superior Court judge. “Prior to the murders in this case, the group took action. Evidence shows the group possessed the knowledge, means and motive to carry out their plans.” One of the Fort Stewart soldiers charged in the case, Pfc. Michael Burnett, also gave testimony that backed up many of the assertions made by prosecutors. The 26-year-old soldier pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter, illegal gang activity and other charges. He made a deal to cooperate with prosecutors against the three other soldiers. Prosecutors said the group called itself F.E.A.R., short for Forever Enduring Always Ready. Pauley said authorities don’t know how many members it had. Burnett, 26, said he knew the group’s leaders from serving with them at Fort Stewart. He agreed to testify against fellow soldiers Pvt. Isaac Aguigui, identified by prosecutors as the militia’s founder and leader, and Sgt. Anthony Peden and Pvt. Christopher Salmon. All are charged by state authorities with malice murder, felony murder, criminal gang activity, aggravated assault and using a firearm while committing a felony. A hearing for the three soldiers was scheduled Thursday. Prosecutors say Roark, 19, served with the four defendants in the 4th Brigade Combat Team of the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division and became involved with the militia. Pauley said the group believed it had been betrayed by Roark, who left the Army two days before he was killed, and decided the ex-soldier and his girlfriend needed to be silenced. Burnett testified that on the night of Dec. 4, he and the three other soldiers lured Roark and York to some woods a short distance from the Army post under the guise that they were going target shooting. He said Peden shot Roark’s girlfriend in the head while she was trying to get out of her car. Salmon, he said, made Roark get on his knees and shot him twice in the head. Burnett said Aguigui ordered the killings. “A `loose end’ is the way Isaac put it,” Burnett said. Also charged in the killings is Salmon’s wife, Heather Salmon. Pauley said Aguigui funded the militia using $500,000 in insurance and benefit payments from the death of his pregnant wife a year ago. Aguigui was not charged in his wife’s death, but Pauley told the judge her death was “highly suspicious.” She said Aguigui used the money to buy $87,000 worth of semiautomatic assault rifles, other guns and bomb components that were recovered from the accused soldiers’ homes and from a storage locker. He also used the insurance payments to buy land for his militia group in Washington state, Pauley said. In a videotaped interview with military investigators, Pauley said, Aguigui called himself “the nicest cold-blooded murderer you will ever meet.” He used the Army to recruit militia members, who wore distinctive tattoos that resemble an anarchy symbol, she said. Prosecutors say they have no idea how many members belong to the group. “All members of the group were on active-duty or were former members of the military,” Pauley said. “He targeted soldiers who were in trouble or disillusioned.” The prosecutor said the militia group had big plans. It plotted to take over Fort Stewart by seizing its ammunition control point and talked of bombing the Forsyth Park fountain in nearby Savannah, she said. In Washington state, she added, the group plotted to bomb a dam and poison the state’s apple crop. Ultimately, prosecutors said, the militia’s goal was to overthrow the government and assassinate the president. It’s not a game people. Domestic terror plots are very real. These guys bought nearly six figures worth of weaponry!!! And to think — this guy was an RNC page just four years ago! SMH @ Aguigui possibly murking his pregnant wife to get the money to fun his evil plot. Source
