Get Your Life Together: Tyler Perry Says President Barack Obama Helped Stop His Drinking Problem Before Madea Had To Go To Rehab

Presidential intervention Tyler Perry has admitted he became heavily dependent on alcohol when his mother died four months ago and struggled to kick his horrible habit. The director spoke candidly to Essence magazine about how he used drink to ease the pain until a visit from President Barack Obama helped him face up to his problem. “I’m doing a lot better now since I stopped drinking about four months ago when my mother died,” Tyler told the magazine. “When she got sick in 2009 I started drinking every night because I couldn’t sleep — every night up to a couple of months ago. I never had a problem but I certainly was on way to having one.” “I’d have me a nice big glass of Hennessy and I would sleep through the night. It was President Obama’s visit to my studio, I don’t know what happened there, but when he came everything became clear.” “I just kind of came out of a haze. It was like, ‘Wake up, kid. You know life is still going on. I know you miss her, I know you care but wake up. Life is still going on.’” “I swear the day after he left was the day I just said I am going to sleep without it.” Must be nice to have the POTUS help you kick your alcohol addiction. Friends in high places indeed. Source

Chuck Norris Accuses Obama of "Pro-Gay Boy Scouts" Policy

Here’s a new Chuck Norris fact for you: the actor is very unhappy with Barack Obama right now. In light of James Turley – a Boy Scouts of America official and CEO of the accounting firm Ernst & Young – recently stating that he planned on working to change the longtime rule that bans homosexuals from serving as Scout leaders, Norris has penned a column for Ammo Land that places the blame for this maneuver on the President’s shoulders. Running down the connections between Turley and Obama (e.g. they were just guests at a state dinner and Turley was nominated to President Obama’s Export Council in 2010) and citing the President’s support of same-sex marriage , Norris believes Turley is catering to a “pro-gay” Obama agenda. Writes/asks Norris: Hasn’t America reached a new low in its history when its president (and the honorary president of the BSA!) distances himself and his administration from the Boy Scouts of America yet invites groups such as the Secular Student Alliance to participate in its faith and college missions? Adding that he has personally “known a host of Boy Scouts, Eagle Scouts and BSA leaders,” Norris concludes that these individuals epitomize the best of America,” which seems to imply gay BSA leaders would epitomize… the worst? Where do you stand? Should gays be allowed to serve as Boy Scout leaders?

Hi Hater: Former Obama Professor Says The President And His ‘Food Stamp Policy’ Politics Gotta Go

They smile in your face…. Former Professor of President Obama Not Supporting His Re-election Campaign In the latest NOBama news , a former professor of President Obama has come out of the woodwork to voice his non-support. One of President Obama’s former Harvard professors is calling for the president’s defeat in November, releasing a scathing video in which he accuses the president of abandoning America’s workers while pushing a policy of “food stamps.” The video by Brazilian scholar and politician Roberto Unger serves as an indictment of both parties. But in it, Unger says Obama must be defeated in order for the Democratic Party to restore itself “as the vehicle for the progressive alternative in the country.” Obama, he said, has not advanced that cause. “President Obama must be defeated in the coming election. He has failed to advance the progressive cause in the United States,” he said in the eight-minute video, titled “Beyond Obama.” Obama, when he attended Harvard, took two classes with Unger — Jurisprudence and Reinventing Democracy, according to David Remnick’s book “The Bridge: The Life and Rise of Barack Obama.” Unger continued to correspond with Obama via BlackBerry going into the presidential campaign, Remnick reported, though Unger said he never became Obama’s “friend” and kept his distance from the then-candidate out of concern that Unger’s own “leftist” leanings might do “harm” to Obama. All of these “food stamp” references are so unnecessary.  SMH. Source Image via Wenn
