Lindsay Lohan’s highly-anticipated interview with Barbara Walters on ABC’s 20/20 is off after the troubled star pulled the plug, according to reports. The modern-day Elizabeth Taylor portrayer was expected to appear on Friday, November 16 to promote her upcoming Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick . Walters had visited the set and interviewed the 26-year-old on location. However, according to Deadline, Lohan’s PR team is “dissatisfied with the direction ABC wanted to take the interview” and reneged on her participation. The oft-maligned actress faces criminal charges for lying to police about her car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway. She falsely claimed her assistant was driving. This could trigger a probation violation – due to her conviction for that jewelry store heist – if a judge determines there is reason to believe she committed a crime. While it wasn’t explicitly stated by her camp, this and her recent nuclear fight with Dina Lohan were likely a big part of her decision to flake on Babwah. Liz & Dick makes its premiere Sunday, November 25 on Lifetime.

Seriously what the fuck is going on? I’d say I can’t wait til Bruce Jenner dumps this cunt’s ass – Brusce Jenner seems alright – but I’m sure she will just find a way to make another few million dollars off of it and if I know this bitch at all she’s probably consulted with producers already regarding her spin-off divorce solo show. You know, just in case.

Their interview will occur sometime in the next few weeks and focus on the parallels between the lives of Lindsay Lohan and Elizabeth Taylor . On top of cursing Mariah Carey off during a heated exchange on the American Idol set this week, did Nicki Minaj also threaten to murder the pop star? Yes, according to Barbara Walters. Wait… what?!? On The View today, the co-host read from notes she took during a conversation with Carey in which the artist alleges “Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun I would shoot the bitch.'” Barbara Walters Speaks for Mariah Carey Mariah also told Walters she has hired extra security to protect her from Minaj. In response, Minaj – who believes this feud was set up by American Idol producers – has called out Carey on Twitter: “I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. From leading the free world at the United Nations General Assembly to leading a political discussion on The View, President Barack Obama had quite an eventful day. He and First Lady Michelle Obama sat down with the ABC show’s panel today and contrasted his and challenger Mitt Romney ‘s differing views on tax policy: Obamas on The View This is an election year? Who knew. The ladies of The View also asked he thinks the country would fare if Republican opponent Romney were actually elected. Obama diplomatically replied that America is strong enough to survive any leadership, but “the American people don’t want to just survive, we want to thrive.” Nicely played. As for her own aspirations, don’t expect Michelle Obama to attempt to follow in her husband’s footsteps, a la Hillary and Bill Clinton . She addressed that topic laughingly, saying, “It takes a lot of patience to be the president of the United States, and I’m not that patient!” Barbara Walters also asked Michelle to describe her husband’s personality, noting honestly that “we hear aloof, cold, unemotional.” “He’s very loving. He’s very giving. He’s very open,” the first lady gushed. “He’s funny. I’m funnier. But we understand that!” Point, Michelle! The couple recounted their first date back in 1989, eating ice cream outside a Baskin Robbins in Chicago. They shared their first kiss, a fact commemorated by a plaque (seriously). The president also described daughters Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, “spinning around” backstage and reenacting Hannah Montana at the Democratic National Convention. With Robin Roberts scheduled to go on leave in August – in order to battle a rare blood disorder – ABC is busy lining up a slate of Good Morning America replacements. Temporary replacements, that is. Roberts will soon be off the air for a number of weeks as she undergoes a bone marrow transplant to deal with her diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndrome, and TMZ reports GMA producers have approached the following stars to sit in for a week at a time alongside George Stephanopoulos: Diane Sawyer Charlie Gibson Barbara Walters Chris Cuomo Connie Chung Joan Lunden Look for names to be finalized the closer we get to Robin’s departure date, and also look for Roberts to hopefully be gone for fewer than four months. With the illness detected early, the journalist’s prognosis is reportedly “very good.” We couldn’t be happier to hear it.
