Meet the Fockers Trailer: Even More Projectile Spurting Than The Exorcist

There is a moment while watching the international trailer for Meet the Fockers (Spanish-subtitled, because why not) where you may think, “This looks tolerable. Hey, Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller aren’t at odds anymore. That’s good, maybe they’re doing something different with this franchise.” Then Stiller’s son projectile-vomits in his face, and Stiller himself squirts blood on his entire family.

Tom Cruise’s Les Grossman Film Staffs Up

I guess we have no choice in this matter. The Les Grossman film that Tom Cruise had been promising is a go, according to a statement released by Paramount today; Ben Stiller will produce, while Scott Pilgrim vs. the World writer Michael Bacall will adapt. I think this makes Tom Cruise our new Mike Myers. Upgrade or downgrade? [ Coming Soon ]

Michael Musto’s The Hollywood Kid: Stiller, Swayze, and Some Scandalous Secrets

After a workweek like this one, couldn’t you use a little industry gossip to jolt you back to life (and to give you something to discuss over drinks this weekend)? Our Hollywood Kid, Michael Musto, is only too happy to oblige, with dish on Iron Man 3 , Patrick Swayze’s final project, and an intriguing collaboration between Elton John and Ben Stiller. As always, Musto closes things out with a pair of delicious blind items, and I’d hazard a guess on the Craigslist-trolling actor if I felt like I had a better lawyer. Enjoy!

Zoolander 2 Needs a Eugoogoly

What a bad week for endlessly quotable, early aughts frat pack comedies. First Anchorman 2 gets shoved into a glass case of emotion, and now Ben Stiller says Zoolander 2 isn’t happening. “Ron Burgundy and Derek Zoolander looking to appear in sequels. Both men destitute, without means or intellect to fund their own comebacks.” Apparently in the eyes of Paramount, Hansel has gone from “so hot” to “so tepid.” [ @RedHourBen ]

Danny Trejo fans, rejoice! All seventeen of you. The long-awaited Machete will finally reach theaters on September 3. Noah Baumbach and Ben Stiller Team Up to Raise Mr. Popper’s Penguins

If you didn’t get your fill of hipster kid-lit adaptations with Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox or Spike Jonze’s Where the Wild Things Are , you’ll be happy to know that this trend has one more trick up its sleeve. Little Fockers

Here’s a glimpse of Ben Stiller on the set of his latest film, Little Fockers, the third installment in the fockin’ comedy also starting Robert DeNiro , Blythe Danner, Owen Wilson , and the newly added Jessica Alba . And how cute, Stiller gets a visit from his son Quinlin during a cast and crew lunch break.
