The Blind Side’s Premier in Berlin Also Got Cancelled

Sandra had originally set plans to fly to Berlin to promote the film “The Blind Side”, which made her, won an Academy Award for Best Actress on March 7, 2010. After she took home a victory, a report came out that a tattoo model claims that she had an affair with Bullock’s husband, Jesse James. Immediately on Monday, Bullock left the Southern California home where she shares with James and later on a statement was released that she would not be able to travel abroad due to some unforeseen personal reasons. The first one being cancelled was her appearance at the premier in London. It wasn’t just the London premier, but also the German event which will be in Berlin got called off as well. Storm Whips Perth, Australia

A strong storm hits Western Australia specifically city of Perth late on Monday. It has cut the power of about tens of thousands homes. Almost not less than $100m (£66.5m) was the estimated cost of damage. The storm carried huge hailstones, torrential rains, flooding, landslide and wind gusts of more than 120km/hour (75mph). It rained heavily. The estimated average rainfall in a month poured in just seven minutes that has affected the schedule of flights. At Perth airport, a part of the terminal roof has collapsed. Power was cut down because some of the power cable supply had collapsed. Even hospitals were flooded. On Tuesday, some schools were advised to remain close. According to Western Australia premier Colin Barnett, this was one of the most severe weather conditions they had experienced since 1994. Not only power supplies were damaged but also buildings and housing. Huge hailstones showered with a size of golf balls which hit some of the cars’ windscreens. Armed Robbers Storm Poker Tournament on Live TV UPDATED [Breaking]

Panic swept over Berlin’s Grand Hyatt today when a group of blasé burglars carrying Kalashnikov assault rifles stormed a European Poker Tour tournament and made off with $1.2 million, before a live television broadcast. UPDATED Four robbers burst into the hotel while two stood guard by the entrance on Potsdamer Platz, a major public square, AFP reports . Apparently some of the footage made it on the air. Here, horrified gamblers run screaming from their table. They are so scared, they don’t even peek at their competitors’ cards. The five-day tournament had 1000 competitors and a jackpot of one million Euros. [ AFP ] [ AP ] UPDATE 1: German website Bild offers photos of the robbers, wearing masks and wielding huge knives. After ditching her Grace Jones bat-wings , pop star Rihanna hit the stage at the Echo Music Awards in Berlin, Germany. The “Russian Roulette” singer performed “Rude Boy” while dancing with two robot-looking transformer things.

A sad looking Cheryl Cole was spotted at Heathrow airport, presumably on her way to Copenhagen, where she is due to perform on the Danish version of X-Factor . But some sources say they saw the singer sneakily ducking in and out of terminals… Perhaps to throw paps off her trail? Rumor has it Cheryl has been planning a trip to France to talk it out with her estranged husband Ashley Cole. So, where in the world is Cheryl Cole? We guess we’ll just have to wait to find out.
