She may be putting on a Poker Face at the moment, but Lady Gaga must be in a foul mood today after MGA Entertainment slapped the singer with a $10 million lawsuit because the manufacturer alleges she and her management company backed out of a deal between the two sides. MGA claims Gaga acted in “bad faith” after initially agreeing to include a voice chip with the doll and have it ready for sale by Christmas. Now, the company believes, Gaga is attempting to delay the item’s release to coincide with her new album in 2013. In its Manhattan Supreme Court suit, MGA asserts that Gaga and her team “engaged in intentional and deliberate delays” to prevent it from meeting its summer deadline with distributors. Lady Gaga has not seen the court documents, her spokesperson tells The New York Daily News , but is “confident she will prevail.”
Queen Latifah Says She’s Serious About Adopting A Child The stork is coming to Hollyweird! And it should be making a stop at Queen Latifah’s crib very soon: Queen Latifah has babies on the brain. The Ice Age: Continental Drift star, 42, is set on the plan she’s had for years to adopt a child, she said on Wednesday’s The View. “I’m actually kind of working on that,” Latifah told co-host Barbara Walters when, according to ET, she was asked if it’s something she seriously considers. “I just always wanted to bring a child home.” While a rep for the star tells PEOPLE there’s “nothing new to report” in Latifah’s apparent adoption process, the aspiring mom tells Walters, “I’m totally serious, so if you got a kid that you don’t … just give me a year – let me set up camp and send me the kid. But no, no [I’m] totally [serious about adopting].” We gotta wonder if the Queen is gonna do this on the solo dolo tip or if girlfriend Eboni Nichols is in on the plans. Lisa Vanderpump of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is really sad about her former home, which was featured on the show, being lost in a fire on Friday. “I’m shocked, really,” she told KCAL-TV. “It’s been an incredible journey coming to America and living in that house. My daughter got married in that house.” “I’m pretty emotional about it even though I sold it a few months ago.” The massive home, which appears in the opening credits of the Bravo reality show, was featured many times on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . As Lisa said, her daughter Pandora tied the knot on its grounds. “She got married there in the fall, as everybody who watched RHBOH saw, and it was amazing, and that’s what I want to think of it,” Vanderpump said. The fire was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Friday night, according to the LAFD. More than 100 firefighters responded to extinguish the massive flames. A portion of the roof and portions of the floors collapsed due to the fire, the cause of which is unknown. One firefighter was hospitalized but no one died. Vanderpump and husband Kenneth Todd downsized recently to a smaller home, selling the place for $19 million after their adult children moved out. Lisa, Camille Grammer , Taylor Armstrong, Kyle Richards, Kim Richards, Adrianne Maloof and Brandi Glanville return to the Bravo show later this year.

Oscar-nominated writer of ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ and ‘When Harry Met Sally … ‘ died of pneumonia. By Josh Wigler Nora Ephron Photo: Academy Award-nominated screenwriter and director Nora Ephron died Tuesday (June 26) from pneumonia. She was 71. News of Ephron’s passing first hit the Internet late Tuesday when journalist Liz Smith, a friend of Ephron’s, published a column remembering the late director. “She never gave the answer I expected to anything. She was grave in her humor, which made it deadly, unexpected, truly funny and dauntingly intelligent,” wrote Smith. “She seemed never to want or expect anything, while always demanding the best from the rest of us. She was — always — right and somehow left the smartest, most ambitious and silliest of us in the dust at her feet.” Ephron lived a storied life both on set and behind the scenes. Born in New York City in 1941 and raised in Beverly Hills, California, Ephron worked as a journalist for numerous years before trying her hand writing and directing for film. Her writing appeared in such outlets as Esquire and New York, and she was even married to Carl Bernstein of Watergate fame from 1976 until 1980. She later wed screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi in 1987; they remained married until the time of her death. In 1983, Ephron’s first major Hollywood movie, “Silkwood,” arrived in theaters. Starring marquee names including Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell and Cher, Ephron’s “Silkwood” was based on the true story of Karen Silkwood, who was killed in a suspicious accident during her investigation into the unethical practices of the nuclear power plant that employed her. The film was nominated for five Oscars, including one for Ephron’s screenplay. Over the course of her career, Ephron cemented her place in Hollywood as one of the industry’s finest romantic comedy writers. She wrote the iconic “When Harry Met Sally … ” and directed numerous films, including the Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan-starring “Sleepless in Seattle” and “You’ve Got Mail.” Her final film as writer and director was “Julie & Julia.” “I won’t say, ‘Rest in peace, Nora,’ ” Smith wrote in her eulogy of Ephron. “I will just ask, ‘What the hell will we do without you?’ ” Share your condolences for Ephron’s family and friends in the comments. Molly Sims and her husband Scott Stuber welcomed a son on Tuesday. A rep confirmed the birth of their first child, a healthy one who weighed in a little over 7 lbs. No name has been revealed for the youngster yet. Congratulations to Molly and Scott on the joyous, life-changing news! Sims, 39, married movie producer Stuber, 43, last September. The model/actress said last month that they were starting to get a little nervous about it. “We did our first birthing class the other day,” she said. “I swear to god I thought he was going to faint!” But Sims did have her son’s nursery ready. “It’s kind of bohemian, modern chic,” the supermodel shared in May. “We have made it so cool. Ken Baumann, star of The Secret Life of the American Teenager , has tied the knot. He married Superbad actress Aviva Farber on Saturday, his rep confirmed Monday. The couple exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Malibu. “They are both very happy,” the rep says of the newlyweds. Baumann and Farber shared wedding pictures of their big day, showing the groom in a gray suit and the bride in a bohemian lace dress with a flowery headband. Bristol Palin’s new reality show, Life’s a Tripp, premiered last night, and regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum, it was terrible in every respect. The problem is not that Bristol is the daughter of Sarah Palin, it’s that she comes across as a caricature; a TV personality, but not a real person by any means. It’s also entirely unclear who the project is aimed at. Uninteresting and brazenly clueless about life and the world around her, BP is not an engaging heroine. Life’s a Tripp is basically like The Hills, Jersey Shore and The Real Housewives of Orange County combined, without the self-awareness of any of the above. Let’s break it down, THG +/- style, and see how: Bristol announces the concept of her show – moving to L.A. to work for a charity, getting out of her comfort zone, etc. – and sounds 100 rehearsed. Minus 20 . Also, Tripp is three. How is this “life experience” for him? Minus 10 . Good thing younger sister Willow came along too. Who needs a job or school, right? Sarah Palin sighting! The Mama Grizzly references The Beverly Hillbillies . Is that what this is supposed to be a takeoff on? We’re still unclear, but Plus 5 . Never mind that Bristol is already famous enough to live in Beverly Hills, and acts entitled, like she belongs there, no matter what she might say. Minus 5 . The ladies announce that they are staying in one of their “parents’ friends’ houses” … which is a giant mansion. Very real and down-to-Earth, girls. Minus 5 . “People are a lot more into their image here than in Alaska.” – Bristol Palin, on a show named after and detailing the struggles of Bristol Palin . Minus 430 . And now for the infamous mechanical bull-riding scene, in which Bristol was heckled and Lifetime was sued in an exchange that reduces all faith in humanity. Bristol Palin Responds to Heckler With Gay Comment From off screen, a guy yells, “Did you ride Levi like that? Your mother’s a whore!” The first part is pretty funny … the latter not at all. It gets ugly, and fast. This scene is just depressing, first for the heckler who uses hateful language and took cheap shots and made Bristol look like some kind of victim. Minus 15 . Of course Bristol, surrounded by reality TV cameras, tried to make his sexuality a topic of the debate. What a Clash of the Lowlifes this became. Minus 15 . Also, Minus 15 more for the Life’s a Tripp producers who can’t even edit this argument in a coherent fashion. How much was edited? It’s all very unclear. Bristol walked out to call BF Gino Paoletti , saying, “I have a ton of cameras on me and a ton of paparazzi. This is not fair. This is not fun.” That felt real. Plus 20 . Of course … the cameras were filming HER OWN REALITY SHOW AT THE TIME and she went to the epicenter of celebrity gossip, West Hollywood. Minus 440. The famous girl who wants to be more famous, yet is too vain to see what a spectacle this is, then complains about being famous? Not sympathetic. Minus 30 . Aside from Tripp being a cute kid, there was little redeeming about this show or its protagonist. Sorry Bristol, but we’re Tripping out after watching this crap. TOTAL: -935 .
