Steven Spielberg Considers Making ‘Jurassic Park’ 3-D

At press day for ‘The Adventures of Tintin,’ director tells MTV News, ‘The only movie I’m interested in post-converting is the first ‘Jurassic.’ ‘ By Kara Warner, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Steven Spielberg Photo: MTV News With so many filmmakers and studios embracing the box-office potential of post-conversion 3-D these days, it seems there are no limits to the conversion and remastering possibilities for older releases. After all, Disney just had great success with its release of “The Lion King” in 3-D , George Lucas is hard at work on the 3-D conversion of his “Star Wars” franchise , and James Cameron is set to release “Titanic 3D” next year. When MTV News caught up with Hollywood icon and Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg recently during the press day for “The Adventures of Tintin,” which was shot in 3-D, we asked whether he’s considered applying post-conversion 3-D technology to any of his classics. “I’ve always said ‘Jurassic Park,’ the first one, would be really good post-converted in 3-D,” he said of his 1993 blockbuster. “I think James Cameron has done the greatest 3-D in history with ‘Avatar’: I don’t think anything has surpassed James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ in terms of the 3-D experience, beyond the fact I love the movie so much, and so I figure that James is going to teach all of us a lesson how to post-convert. If we follow his precepts, more films will be post-converted, but the only movie I’m interested in post-converting is the first ‘Jurassic.’ ” After Cameron’s “Titanic 3D” arrives in theaters in April 2012, perhaps Spielberg will be more set on whether “Jurassic Park 3D” will follow. The director made it clear he doesn’t make those decisions lightly, however, speaking about whether he and George Lucas will make a rumored fifth “Indiana Jones” film . “I would not make a fifth movie to try to prove any point,” he said. “If we get a good story, I’ll make it. If George [Lucas] doesn’t think we should make any more, I’ll listen to him.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Adventures Of Tintin.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . That’s So Palin: Tina Fey Does Saturday Night Live

The best part of Tina Fey’s now-iconic Sarah Palin impersonation — beyond the fact that it’s uncanny — is watching Fey’s barely contained rage. It just seems like she really doesn’t like the half-term Alaskan governor, which is probably what makes it all the more devastating. Fey dusted off her mimic skills on Saturday Night Live last night for an ingeniously conceived skit about “The Sarah Palin Network,” which featured fake programs like, ” Alaskanence : The show about a single woman who doesn’t believe in having sex before marriage, who is struggling to raise her three young children.” Also: “30 Main Street,” but there’s no reason to spoil that one too. Check out the skit after the jump.

Jersey Shore Cast Puts the G in GTL

There’s no mistaking the male Jersey Shore cast members, sporting matching black tank tops and officially putting the G in GTL in their new Miami digs this week. Being filmed going to the gym during the day and getting bombed at night, whilst bringing home whatever trash bags they please. Talk about living the dream. Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Vinny Guadagnino, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino , and Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio worked out during filming for the show’s second season. Here’s the gang strutting its ‘roided-up stuff: ALL SMILES : What’s not to love about this lifestyle? Their GTL dream may be fulfilled every morning, but one other change this season beyond the fact that Jersey Shore no longer takes place on the Jersey Shore: No grenades. That’s right, only hot chicks will be allowed at the Jersey Shore house in South Beach. Good luck policing that when it’s 4:10 a.m. and The Situation’s creepin’.
