Justin Bieber Has Nothing But ‘Love’ For Carly Rae Jepsen And Usher

‘Carly is my artist, and I’m Usher’s artist, so it’s kind of cool that we’re all performing,’ Bieber tells MTV News at Billboard Music Awards. When MTV News caught up with Bieber on the white carpet for the awards show, just before his big number, the teenage superstar said his expectations for the evening were relatively simple: He just wanted everyone to have fun and to be able to show off all the hard work he’s been putting into his dance moves. “This performance is going to be fun. I practiced a lot in the dance studio,” Bieber said. “I’ve been working hard, and I can’t wait to show the fans what I’ve been working so hard on.” Since the other members of Bieber’s musical family — Carly Rae Jepsen and Usher — were also performing, did the trio discuss any feelings of friendly competition or joke around about which performance would be better than the others? “[It’s] not a competition. It’s all love,” Bieber said with a smile. “We’re all a family. Carly is my artist, and I’m Usher’s artist, so it’s kind of cool that we’re all performing here, together. For first-time Billboard Music Awards attendee and performer Jepsen, the goal for the night was to remember to take a moment to soak it all in. “I want to feel happy when I’m onstage,” she said. “A lot of times you kind of get caught up in the performance and then you worry and then it’s over and you think, ‘I didn’t even enjoy it.’ So tonight, after [having a successful] soundcheck this morning, it’s going to be about having fun. It’s me and my band, we’ve got some dancers and some fun lights, it’s going to be an interesting show.” Who had the best Billboard performance: Justin, Usher or Carly? Let us know in the comments! Poor Thang: BeyBey Admits She Is A Snot Bubble Blowing, Sweaty Mess… Insecure About Her Ears, Feet And Legs

After seeing Alicia “Bad Knees” Keys get her cottage cheese blasted last week we can’t say we blame BeyBey for going to great lengths to hide her “Flaws And All”. In a recent interview Bey revealed that she’s prone to blowing snot bubbles onstage, uses fans during her performances to help stop her from sweating up a storm and has some beat up feet… amongst other issues! The 29-year-old singer told ITV: “My nose runs a lot and when I’m singing I can’t blow it, so there have been occasions when I’ve ended up with a ‘bubble’ coming out my nose.” She went on: “Everyone thinks I have the fans (wind machines) because I’m being fashionable, but I work so hard on stage if I didn’t have them I’d be dripping.” The former Destiny’s Child singer also confessed to not liking parts of her body, saying: “If I could change one part it would be my feet. After all the years dancing they’re a little beat up. And I wear big earrings because I don’t like my ears.” She also admitted wearing four pairs of stockings to prevent “unflattering” pictures and “keep me secure on stage” in the interview for a show which is expected to be screened in December. Ewwww @ snot bubbles… But we’re sure her true stans wouldn’t mind being sweated and snotted on!

Mary J. Blige & Nicki Minaj’s “Feel Inside” [NEW MUSIC]

The rest is here:

Two leading ladies of music, Mary J.Blige and Nicki Minaj, have joined forces to collaborate on a new song, “Feel Inside.” The song will reportedly serve as the next single off Blige’s new album “My Life 2: The Journey Continues.” The legend and newbie alternate verses on the 80s-inspired midtempo groove that keeps Blige right at home, but makes Nicki sound a bit off beat. Mary does what she does best over beats: wallow and beg! “I wanna make you happy, but you just don’t see it / We all say all the wrong things til we make each other cry / What are we doing?” MJB, Lil’ Wayne Perform “Someone To Love Me” At Billboard Music Awards [VIDEO] Lil’ Mama On Nicki Minaj: “I’m Flattered She Imitated Me”

Is Jennifer Lopez People Magazine’s “Most Beautiful”?

The rest is here:

Although it’s not official (and won’t be announced until tomorrow, April 13), the word on the street is that Jennifer Lopez has topped People Magazine’s prestigious “Most Beautiful” list for this year’s edition, and she has got the gig of cover girl! If this does turn out to be true, she is in very good company, with stars like Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie and Iman, all making the list before. Not that this is substantial proof, but JLo herself took to Twitter to tell her fans about a People cover shoot she did recently, tweeting; “Good Morning LOVERS!!! Early Call Today for @peoplemag shoot!” That’s good enough proof for me! 2011 is shaping up to be a very big year for the beautiful star. She is a massive hit as an “American Idol” judge, with some even claiming that her presence on the show will be responsible for keeping the show alive ! In addition, her music career is back in full swing, with huge props being given to single “On the Floor” and mounting anticipation for her album “Love?”, which it has been revealed has tracks written on it for her by Lady Gaga ! What’s more, she is set to perform at the Billboard Music Awards on May 22 in Las Vegas, alongside some heavy hitters like, Rihanna , the Black Eyed Peas, Keith Urban and Taio Cruz. Can’t wait to see the images, and to find out who else made the list! J.Lo The New Face Of 90-Year-Old Spanish Jewelry Co. Most Nets Skip Over Their Advocacy of Broadcast Profanity; Newspapers Downplay Critical Voices

Most networks skipped over the story of their own corporate advocacy of broadcast profanity last night when the Second Circuit Court of Appeals shredded the FCC’s broadcast decency regulation. (All the networks signed on, with Fox in the lead). NBC’s Brian Williams offered 94 words, but erred in claiming “When a curse word has slipped out in the past, the FCC has imposed heavy fines on networks.” There were no fines for NBC when Bono said “f—ing brilliant” at the 2004 Golden Globes, nor were their fines for Fox when Cher and Nicole Richie for profanity at (respectively) the 2002 and 2003 Billboard Music Awards. ABC and CBS aired nothing. Fox News had no story in the transcripts offered to Nexis for searching. Fox’s corporate brethren at The Wall Street Journal had a story, but reporters Amy Schatz and Jess Bravin wrote a 727-word article with absolutely zero space for critics of the judges’ decision (including the Brent Bozell-founded Parents Television Council). The story did make explicit that Fox “led the case against the FCC and that “Fox is a division of News Corp., which also owns The Wall Street Journal.” Other newspapers offered small scraps for anti-profanity groups. The Washington Post’s front-page story by Cecelia Kang offered 50 words out of 771, in paragraph eight: The Parents Television Council called the decision a “slap in the face,” and Concerned Women for America, an advocacy group for indecency rules, urged the agency to appeal, lest broadcast television be open to the sexually explicit content and language of cable programs such as “The Sopranos” and “True Blood.” The New York Times story by Edward Wyatt put the anti-profanity spokesman in the very last paragraph (of a 17-paragraph story), with just 75 words out of 940: Ted Lempert, president of Children Now, said that while the court’s decision was troubling, it also emphasized the need for clarity about broadcast standards. ”It’s of concern because the F.C.C. has been a critical protector of children’s interests when it comes to media,” he said, adding that he expects that the commission will try to construct a more targeted approach to keeping indecency off the airwaves at times when children are likely to be watching. National Public Radio reported the story on Tuesday night’s All Things Considered by getting a rundown and analysis of the court case from legal reporter Nina Totenberg, but she offered zero reaction to the decision from anti-profanity groups. But on Tuesday’s Morning Edition , NPR offered another story on FCC regulatory policy – on the proposed NBC-Comcast merger – and NPR found air time for several critics gainst the media companies on the antitrust front. (And Totenberg did a story in that program on the Supreme Court year in review , with former Totenberg intern Tom Goldstein insisting there are not really any liberals on the court.) The networks are obviously terrible at covering themselves when they were brazen enough to go to court and argue that they should have the right to broadcast profanities of any kind at any time of the day. That is the effect of the 2nd Circuit’s decision. At the very least, they ought to be willing to air critics of ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox (and CW, if anyone cares). Censoring the story and the dissenters is a cowardly act. Remember this the next time they bray about the “public’s right to know.”
