Ryan Lochte Ryan Lochte claimed he was held up and robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics. He failed to mention that he actually vandalized a gas station bathroom and the person holding the gun was a security guard who was trying to control Lochte and his teammates. 2. Brian Williams Brian Williams was paid to deliver the news for NBC. But he delivered lies about his experience in Iraq when telling viewers in January of 2015 that a helicopter he was riding in many years earlier had been shot down. It hadn’t been. 3. Steve Rannazzisi Steve Rannazzisi claimed in 2009 that he narrowly escaped death while inside one of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2011. But… nope. He wasn’t there at all. 4. Bill Clinton Clinton once said he did not have sex with “that woman,” Monica Lewinsky, back when he was President and she was an intern. He later had to admit that his penis was in her mouth on more than one occasion. 5. Lance Armstrong Remember all those years that Armstrong spend VEHEMENTLY denying that he ever took performance enhancing drugs? He finally came clean and admitted to it all during an interview with Oprah. 6. Brandy In 2002, Brandy stunned fans when she announced she was pregnant … and had secretly gotten hitched to producer Robert Smith in 2001. The couple then starred on the reality show Brandy: Special Delivery, which tracked the birth of daughter Sy’rai in summer 2002. Kelly Osbourne is under fire today for a joke many people feel she should not have been the one to make. In light of Rachel Dolezal continuing to make waves around the Internet for having pretended to be an African-American while serving as President of the NAACP in Spokane, Osbourne posted the following photo on Instagram. “#CallMeRachel #MyCasualLook,” Kelly wrote as a caption. Sort of funny, right? It’s hard to fault anyone for mocking Dolezal, who resigned her post after her Caucasian parents outed her as white and then went on to say her parents can’t actually prove they are her parents. But should Osbourne be the one to make this sort of quip? Osbourne quit her position at E!’s Fashion Police in February after Giuliana Rancic made inappropriate comments about Zendaya Coleman’s dreadlocks. Critics therefore view Kelly as a hypocrite by jumping here into a race debate. “Anyone who thinks this is funny in light of @kellyosbourne ‘s bs earlier this year in fashion Police with her antics about @zendaya is a complete moron,” writes one Twitter user. “It’s about context people, and in this case she’s absolutely 100% a hypocrite.” Then again… “Transracial is not a real thing,” replies an Osbourne defender. “Rachael is white, not black. As previously reported and documented, Justin Bieber is a new path. He’s apologizing for his past behavior, he’s getting Roasted on Comedy Central , he’s staying single so he can focus on self-improvement . And he’s dressing in drag?!? Justin Bieber in Drag! NBC has announced that Nightly News anchor Brian Williams will be suspended for six months without pay. Williams has been accused of lying about events that took place while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003. After he stated on his January 31 broadcast that he was riding in a helicopter that was shot down by an RPG, Williams was forced to admit that he had lied after several witnesses came forward with claims that Williams had, in fact, been miles away when the event that he described took place. Since then, Williams’ credibility has come under attack, and several media outlets have reported other instances in which Williams may have been less than honest with his viewers. Last week, the New York Post claimed that Williams lied his experiences in Hurricane Katrina . Today, the same newspaper reported that Williams lied about another war story , as he allegedly embellished the details of an incident that he experienced in Israel in 2007. Williams announced a leave of absence from the network on February 8, and there was widespread speculation about whether or not NBC would take disciplinary action against the beloved newsman. Williams reportedly had a meeting with network heads this afternoon where he was informed of their decision.
