Image via Focus on Sport/Getty Manute Bol Wasn’t The Age He Claimed To Be In the past we’ve seen athletes who have lied about their age , but that seems to mostly happen in little league sports where some overly ambitious coach is thirsty to have a star player on his team. We’ve never heard of anything like this. According to a report on ZAGSBLOG , the college scout, Kevin Mackey, who brought the late Manute Bol to the United States to play basketball literally made up the 7’7″ African’s age. “I gave him his birthday because they didn’t know how old he was,” Mackey, now a scout with the Indiana Pacers, told ZAGSBLOG. Mackey goes on to say: “Every athletic door is open at 19, every athletic door is closed when you’re 35,” said Mackey, 71. “He was probably 40, 50 years old when he was playing in the NBA.” Bol’s Wikipedia page lists his birthdate as October 16, 1962, but they couch the assertion with the phrase “he is believed to have been born…”. “[Bol] had no idea of his age and the kid who came over with him didn’t know how old he was,” Mackey said. “No one knew how old he was. Tyrese Ordered To Cease Physical Punishment And Go To Counseling Tyrese has finally been reunited with his daughter Shayla after months of separation and obvious emotional turmoil. The actor/singer shared a precious photo of he and his daughter having a happy solo stroll on the beach today, looking very blissful. Tyrese will also be afforded the opportunity to spend Christmas and New Year’s, but their reunion does NOT come without some court-ordered stipulations. According to documents discovered by TMZ , neither Tyrese nor Norma may physically discipline their 10-year-old daughter any longer. On top of all that, Tyrese has to take court-ordered classes on appropriate parental discipline methods. He and Norma BOTH must enroll in a “high conflict parenting” course, and Tyrese and Shayla must enter joint therapy with a psychologist, while Shayla has separate therapy sessions of her own. After a report surfaced claiming that Brett Ratner and Russell Simmons were investigated for sexual battery in 2001, a new story about the powerful duo has surfaced. Russell Simmons is facing sexual assault allegations from a woman who claims he did so while she was underage. The L.A. Times published a story today featuring model Keri Claussen Khaligi who alleges that Simmons “yanked off her clothes” when she was 17 as his friend Brett Ratner watched. Khaligi also told the publication that she pleaded with Ratner for help, but was ignored and later was raped in the shower by Simmons. “Ratner was an up-and-coming music video director and a protege of Simmons, the Def Jam Recordings mogul. They took Khalighi to dinner one night in 1991 at Mr. Chow in New York, and then back to Simmons’ apartment to show her a music video they’d been working on. Quickly, Simmons began making aggressive sexual advances, yanking off her clothes, Khalighi said. “I looked over at Brett and said ‘help me’ and I’ll never forget the look on his face,” she recalled. “In that moment, the realization fell on me that they were in it together.” Khalighi said that Simmons, who was then about twice her age, tried to force her to have intercourse. “I fought it wildly,” she said. He eventually relented and coerced her to perform oral sex, she alleged. “I guess I just acquiesced.” Ratner, meanwhile, “just sat there and watched,” she said. Feeling “disgusting,” Khalighi said she went to take a shower. Minutes later, she alleged, Simmons walked up behind her in the shower and briefly penetrated her without her consent. She said she jerked away, then he left. “It hurt so much.” WOWWWWW. Simmons has since responded and he’s strongly disputing her account and claiming that everything that occurred between them was with “full consent and participation.” (So he’s admitting to sex with a 17-year-old?) He’s also disputing the account of another woman, Tanya Reid, who claims that in 1994 Ratner and Simmons harassed her while she worked at a South Beach hotel. Reid told The Times that Simmons called the front desk and told her that he wanted Ratner to “hold her down” so he could perform oral sex on her. Later she claims that she acquiesced to oral sex with Ratner after he allegedly exposed himself and pushed her head down. “I mean no disrespect to her when I say I do not recall a conversation with a hotel front desk clerk over a quarter of a century ago,” said Simmons in his statement. Getty Images Ohio Woman Who Posed With Bees In Maternity Shoot Has A Stillbirth This Ohio mother of three made headlines in August after posing with 20,000 bees on her pregnant belly in a maternity shoot has sadly suffered a stillbirth. “Yesterday evening we had to hand over our precious child and say goodbye to his physical body forever,” Emily Mueller wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, adding that she and her husband, Ryan named their late son Emersyn Jacob. “Our baby has died. Our baby will never come home with us. This wonderful rainbow baby we were blessed with has now become a storm in our lives. Finding out your baby died is unfathomable. Learning you have to be induced and deliver your deceased child is way beyond that. My heart instantly ached for any woman that has told me she had a stillborn.” Emily, who has three other children — Cadyn, 10, Madelynn, 3, and Westyn, 1 — said she was preparing for an upcoming event on Thursday and didn’t notice her baby’s lack of movement. “By evening I began to realize I had not felt baby move much and had contractions that felt different than any I have had before. I just told myself he was sleeping but as the time passed, I felt uneasy about it.” She and her husband decided to go to the hospital to check for a heartbeat, and sadly learned that their son had died just days before the due date. Emily, a beekeeper and owner of Mueller Honey Bee and Rescue, first got into beekeeping as a way to cope after suffering several miscarriages. So sad.
