Gabourey Sidibe’s New Book Reveals Nick Cannon Sent Her An Offensive Script Gabourey Sidibe has always exuded confidence, even before shedding a gang of pounds thanks to weight loss surgery. However, in her new book “This Is Just My Face,” she reveals that her weight became a sore spot on multiple occasions when certain celebs proved to be pretty insensitive. One such celeb was Nick Cannon, who according to RadarOnline reports, sent Sidibe a script full of fat shaming: “The character was a plus-sized girl who is called ‘fat a**’ and ‘hippo,’” she said in her new memoir. “I thought how glad I’d be when my body was no longer mentioned in script ideas for me. ‘My body is not a character description.’ My good friend Amber Riley once said that.” The very day after she read the script, Sidibe, 34, underwent weight loss surgery. Though it’s unclear if she ever reached out to Cannon, she imagined that he would be rattled by imminent shrunken frame. “I would call Nick in a few days and have him remove those names,” she wrote. “Boy, would he be pissed by the time we shot the movie.” As much as it sounds like Nick Cannon pushed Gabby to the edge, we’re guessing you can’t just walk in for weight loss surgery off the street so this had to be a coincidence, right? We’re guessing the project ended up not happening, but Cannon isn’t the only one skewered in Gabby’s memoir. She also reveals former VOGUE editor Andre Leon Talley once called her a “fat b***h.” YIKES. WENN

Donald Glover Planning An Adult Animated ‘Deadpool’ Series For FXX

Donald Glover Creating “Deadpool” Series FX really knows what they have with Childish Gambino Donald Glover. After the rapper/actor/singer/screenwriter brought FX ratings success and industry awards with his hit show “Atlanta,” the network is tapping his midas touch to help bring a popular Marvel character to life on the small screen. Daily Mail reports that Donald is teaming up with his brother and co-writer Stephen to create a ten-episode animated series about the misadventures of foul-mouthed superhero Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool. No word yet on if Donald, who is a self-proclaimed black nerd/blerd and recently voiced Miles Mirales/Spider-Man in the ‘Ultimate Spider-Man’ television show, will also voice Deadpool in the series. FX president Nick Grad is particularly happy to team up with Gambino again, saying: “Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta.” Nice! Steve Harvey Writes Memo Telling Show Staff To NEVER Speak To Him Because Doesn’t Want To Be Bothered During The Day

Steve Harvey Tells Show Staff Not To Approach Him For Any Reason Looks like Steve Harvey was NOT feeling speaking to his staff while filming his last season of The Steve Harvey Show in Chicago. The show is set to start filming in LA this fall and the last day of Chi-town production goes down tomorrow. But an e-mail sent at the beginning of the season surfaced today, wherein he tells his staff to back off. According to Chicago media blogger Robert Feder who managed to get his hands on a copy of the e-mail, Steve allegedly told his entire staff to pretty much stay away from him and not tell or ask him a damn thing when they see him around the studio. He stressed that he needs his time to himself throughout the day, so without an appointment, he would not be speaking with any staff members about anything. Feder posted the e-mail to his site: TV production, especially when it comes to shows with live audiences and rotating guests, often entails a lot of last-minute changes and bytes of new info popping up here and there. It seems kind of outlandish to require anyone who might have anything to say to you to go through the process of scheduling a whole meeting. But hey, we don’t know the circumstances that led to Steve shunning his staff so hard. Maybe this type of limitation was necessary… Splash/Steve Harvey Show
