Is Kobe Bryant Planning a Little Walk-On Cameo On “How To Get Away With Murder?”

Kobe Bryant May Appear On ‘HTGAWM’ Apparently, the Black Mamba is a big fan of Shondaland. The ex-baller showed up to kick it with Viola and crew during the final readthrough of the upcoming season of HTGAWM… …which, of course, got social media speculating that he may be getting ready for an acting role cameo on one of everyone’s favorite crime dramas. But what does Viola have to say? TMZ caught up with her to get the scoop on Kobe’s potential character…but she was pretty good at playing it all off… Hmmm…well, if it’s a “surprise” cameo, we’re sure that Viola can’t spill the beans about it. Old Wounds: Kobe Throws More Shade At Shaq And Calls Him Lazy!

Thought the Kobe / Shaq feud was over? Naw, buddy. During an interview in Italy, Black Mamba had this to say about the reason he and Diesel didn’t get along: “I like players who work out,” said Bryant, according to a report in Sportando. “I used to do that six, seven hours per day. I cannot stand players who practice for 30 minutes. I need to say something to them.” We’re sure there was more to it than that, but we do know that Shaq was notorious for not working out as much as he should and even waiting until the season started to have surgery. Even though the man has four rings, he could have done much better. Still, is Kobe right to be airing his old teammate out after they’d supposedly buried the hatchet five years ago? Or does Kobe just not give a f*ck? Does this make you side with Kobe or Shaq more?

Did Kobe Bryant Shout Homophobic Slurs At NBA Referee? [VIDEO]

Original post:

LA Lakers star Kobe Bryant, clearly no stranger to controversy, may find himself in some more hot water after footage was shot of him appearing to sling some homophobic slurs at an NBA referee during a Lakers, San Antonio match last night. According to TMZ , the incident occurred in the third quarter after Kobe got hit with a technical foul. Clearly angry, Kobe walks to his chair, punches it, and screams at the referee, Bennie Adams. Although you can’t hear the words he uses, he appears to mouth the words, “F**king f**got.” One of the announcers then comments, “You might wanna take the cameras off of him right now, for the children watching.” It is sadly not the first time recently that homophobia in relation to the NBA has been an issue. When Toronto Raptor guard Leandro Barbosa held the hand of teammate Reggie Evans in celebration of a big win, as the pair headed to the locker-room recently, it didn’t take long for a massive homophobic retaliation to ricochet across the internet. Instinct Magazine notes that the video of the teammates hand holding was uploaded to YouTube, but the ability to post comments had to be disabled after a torrent of juvenile, vile anti-gay messages started to accrue from sports fans. This outburst from someone who is supposedly a role model for fans the world over, probably isn’t going to do much to promote tolerance and acceptance in sport, so it seems like we still have a very long way to go in regards to changing the ignorance of some people’s thinking. NBA All-Star Weekend took Hollywood by storm in more ways than one, introducing Kobe Bryant as the latest athlete to turn actor. Well, sorta: The Kobe-starring short film The Black Mamba , directed by Robert Rodriguez, is a meta, self-aware bit of Nike product placement that envisions Bryant as a grindhouse-style action hero who must contend with the likes of Danny Trejo, Bruce Willis, and Kanye West to defend… a pair of shoes. Watch it after the jump.

Kanye West Vs. Kobe Bryant In Sneaker Showdown

‘I’m the boss!’ ‘Ye yells in ad for Los Angeles Laker’s new Nike kicks. By Jayson Rodriguez Kanye West in Kobe Bryant’s Nike commercial trailer Photo: Nike The Kanye West and Kobe Bryant partnership might have taken a wrong turn somewhere. The pair were photographed in the studio together last year when West was working on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy . The rapper, despite his Chicago roots, also said he wanted to be like the Los Angeles Laker . Over the weekend, however, in a preview of a Nike commercial spot that will debut over the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend, West (in character) is shown at odds with Bryant in a campaign for the baller’s new sneaker. “Bring him to me!” ‘Ye screams in the clip, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez and also features Bruce Willis. “The Black Mamba ain’t nothing. I’m the boss!” The boss, apparently, wants Kobe’s kicks: In the first clip that ran a week ago, a voiceover opens the spot by saying the NBA champion thought he was on a road trip to Dallas but found himself fighting for his footwear. “Black Mamba, the boss wants your shoes,” veteran actor Danny Trejo tells the high-flying basketball superstar. Bryant is then shown slashing through defenders during a rooftop pickup basketball game and dunking buckets despite playing short-handed. Two years ago, the duo were featured in another campaign for the NBA when West’s “Amazing” was used for the playoff push alongside highlight clips of Bryant, LeBron James and the Celtics’ Ray Allen.
