CNN released a statement: “It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” the network said in a statement Friday morning. “His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.” Bourdain, a world-renowned chef began his television career as host of “A Cook’s Tour” on the Food Network. Afterward, he joined the Travel Channel as host of “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.” “No Reservations earned Bourdain two Emmy Awards. In 2013, Bourdain joined CNN has the host of “Parts Unknown,” travel and food show which showed the chef going all around the world in lesser parts of the planent exploring different cultures and food. This is the second celebrity suicide this week. Designer Kate Spade was found dead in her home June 5th. Ranch That Hosted Kanye’s Listening Party Bans Rappers From Property Kanye West took his energy and his business to Jackson Hole, Wyoming — an area known NOT to have a large Black presence. In a completely not shocking turn of events, it seems the community wasn’t too happy to have ‘Ye and his “kind” being all loud and happy and isht on their turf. According to The Blast , venue owner Jane Golliher says there’s no way she’s having any more rappers throw events on her property. The woman, who owns and operates the Diamond Cross Ranch in Moran, Wyoming where Kanye flew out 400 of his friends, associates, and members of the media for his “‘Ye” listening bash, claims that the event was the most confusing thing she’s ever been a part of. She says that Kanye’s event was originally supposed to be held indoors, but the rapper changing his mind “every 30 minutes” eventually that led to the speakers being carted outside and music blasted at extensively high decibels, causing near-instant calls and complaints from nearby lodges. Kanye also reportedly claimed that the event would wrap up around 10 pm…but he didn’t actually get started until 9:30 pm, and violated the noise ordinance in the area. Either way, Jane Golliher claims she has no beef with Kanye, but wishes she had charged the rapper $50,000 or more to have the event in her space and insists that no more rappers will be holding anything on her land. She says she’s open to a “day concert” that falls in line with noise levels, and only features “good music.” There’s that middle America ‘Ye loves so much. The longtime Roots frontman released his first ever solo project Streams Of Thought Vol. 1 , with production from 9th Wonder and some powerful features from Rapsody and Styles P. At just five songs, the EP promises to the be the first of projects from the Philadelphia wordsmith. Opening with the blistering and soulful “TwoFifteen,” Black Thought goes on a 3-minute lyrical face-melting display and even pays homage in a dope nod to his hometown brethren Freeway. “9th Vs. Thought” is a classic head-nod-inducing banger from 9th and Black Thought once more showing and proving that at the age of 46 that he is still very much a potent lyricist. “Dostoyevsky” features the extremely talented Rapsody on the verse help out and if you know her music then you already know the bars were legendary. Another track, “Making Of A Murderer” was previously released in 2016, but still sounds quite current and Styles P of The Lox stood his ground with his veteran counterpart.
