Only problem is, he just got caught sending an n-word laden email to his colleagues asking them to donate money to a local book drive. According to WICU , Councilwoman Stephanie Sheffield ain’t with it. Not even a lil’ bit: “I spoke with him this morning, and I immediately said dismissal,” Councilwoman Sheffield adds. “[Burke] came and knocked on my door this morning with an apology letter and how he is very familiar with our community and our area. [Burke said] he does use the ‘N’ Word very often because that’s the way it is in our area. Chicago Cop Who Killed Laquan McDonald Facing First Degree Murder Charges According to the Chicago-Tribune , justice for Laquan McDonald is in the process of being served… Cook County prosecutors say a veteran Chicago police officer has been charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, who was shot 16 times in an on-duty incident on the Southwest Side in October 2014. Officer Jason Van Dyke, 37, turned himself in to state’s attorney investigators at 7:41 a.m. in their offices at the criminal courthouse at 26th Street and California Avenue, booking records show. As he arrived, Van Dyke kept his hands in his jeans pockets, looked straight ahead and did not answer questions shouted from reporters as he briskly walked into the Leighton Criminal Court Building with his attorney. Van Dyke’s prints were taken at 8:29 a.m., and he was placed in a one-person cell under close observation, records show. Van Dyke was unarmed but brought along an inhaler he uses to treat his asthma, according to the records. He was scheduled to appear in bond court at noon. Van Dyke is charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of McDonald “without legal justification and with the intent to kill or do great bodily harm,” according to the one-page criminal complaint filed against him. Come on! Hot Springs County, AR – Body cameras used by law enforcement have the potential to protect officers from false claims and to protect citizens from abusive cops. We are giving you a look at some body camera video recorded in January. 64 year-old Venetta Bullock was traveling back to Arkadelphia when she was stopped on Highway 7 in Hot Spring county. Everything that happened from that point on was recorded by the deputy’s body camera, and all involved believe that video supports their actions. A Hot Spring County Sheriff’s department review found no wrongdoing on the part of the officers and resulted in no action. And there has been no civil suit filed. But there were criminal charges. Ms. Bullock…arm in a sling…appeared in a Malvern courtroom last week to face a litany of charges including DUI, battery, resisting arrest, refusal to test and failing to dim her headlights. The deputy prosecutor, after viewing the video, elected to drop all but one of the charges against Ms. Bullock. And the remaining charge, resisting arrest, was reduced to disorderly conduct…a misdemeanor. Both the officers involved and the prosecutors involved were asked to comment afterward. All declined. One question left unanswered: why wasn’t a blood or urine sample taken? Those tests would have settled the debate regarding Ms. Bullard’s level of alcohol consumption. youtube

Five thousand students took to the streets and rioted near the Cal campus after a football game was either won or lost, and of course lots of alcohol was consumed. Fires were started and cars were destroyed. But how did cops react to this violent crowd? “Did they roll in the tanks like they did in Ferguson, and they do in other minority communities? Parents Of High School Football Players Hang Dummy Of Black Rival High School football rivalries is a big deal in a lot of towns and cities in America, but this has gone entirely too far. The parents of students at Lincoln High School in Indiana have been put on blast for hanging a candy-filled effigy of a black player from an opposing school according to a report on Fox59 . The azzhole Assistant Superintendent of the Western Wayne School District was all caped up to defend this bulls#!t: “Only after the picture was sent out did the Lincoln supporters learn that the number on the Tri-High uniform was that of an African American student. It clearly was not the thought or intent of the Lincoln supporters or football players that this incident was anything more than a school rivalry. This incident was not racially motivated.” How the hell does he know what motivated “this incident”?! SMH. Other folks (who aren’t azzholes) don’t quite see it that way: “Parents? That’s even more shocking.
