Martin Helme: Estonia Needs To Say White – “If You’re Black, Go Back” Conservative parties in Europe are just as bad as here when it comes to black people, SMH. According to International Business Times: An outspoken Estonian politician has a message for would-be immigrants: “If you’re black, go back.” Martin Helme, a board member for the Conservative People’s Party, was speaking about immigration policies on a television show in Tallinn, when he said he wants Estonia to remain a “white country,” and that an influx of immigrants would lead to the “pillaging and raping” of Estonian towns. The English-language ERR, an Estonian public broadcasting service, reported the story on Wednesday, stating that Helme’s comments stemmed from concerns that Estonia could see civil unrest similar to elsewhere in Europe, where migration from African nations such as Algeria, Morocco and Cameroon has skyrocketed over the past four decades. Tensions between immigrants and authorities have increased in the wake of Europe’s economic downturn, which has lessened prospects for the thousands of Africans who migrate to Europe each year in search of a better life. In Sweden last week, riots broke out in Stockholm after police shot 69-year-old Portuguese immigrant who had lived in the country for 30 years. It was the third time that riots have broken out in the country in the last five years. Helme, ERR reports, wants to avoid similar problems in Estonia before they start. “Estonia shouldn’t allow things to go as far as in England, France and Sweden,” Helme reportedly said. “Our immigration policy should have one simple rule: If you’re black, go back. As simple as that. We shouldn’t allow this problem to emerge in the first place.” Formerly known as the People’s Union — a center-right, pro-business party in the 1990s — the Conservative People’s Party once had the largest membership in Estonia. However, support for the party waned significantly following a series of leadership scandals. Today the party is supported by only about 3 percent of the country and is not even represented in Estonia’s parliament, according to ERR. 3% huh? Department Of Justice Requiring Employees To Publicize Support For Gay Community More than a few government employees who work for the Department of Justice are in an uproar over a new brochure that was recently circulated around the workplace, requiring employees to either openly confirm or openly deny their support of gay people. via Fox News The Department of Justice has been accused of religious intolerance and viewpoint discrimination after workers were sent an email directing them to verbally affirm homosexuality, according to a law firm specializing in religious liberty and now representing a DOJ whistleblower. Liberty Counsel said DOJ employees were emailed a brochure called “LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers.” The brochure was created as a resource from DOJ Pride, an association of lesbian, gay, bis-xual and transgender employees of the DOJ. Among the directives in the brochure is an order for workers to vocally affirm homosexuality. “Don’t judge or remain silent,” the brochure read. “Silence will be interpreted as disapproval.” They were also told to post “DOJ Pride” stickers in their office to indicate “that it is a safe place.” One gay DOJ employee is quoted in the directive; “Silence seems like disapproval. There’s still an atmosphere of LGBT issues not being appropriate for the workplace (particularly for transgender people), or that people who bring it up are trying to rock the boat.” It’s public knowledge that discrimination based on sexual orientation is against the law, but forcing employees to publicly vocalize their stance on gay rights at work seems a little extreme. Alex Jones Says Democrats Stole Election According to Raw Story Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones rang some familiar Republican talking points in a phone interview with Gun Owners of America president Larry Pratt, accusing Democrats of widespread voter fraud and speaking of immigration reform in fearful terms. “They stole the election. That’s what I’m worried about, Larry,” Jones told Pratt. “There’s so much election fraud now. They’re about to legalize the 30 million illegals. But they know this is their last shot, because America is starting to wake up.” Jones did not offer any evidence for his claim of election fraud. However past claims of fraudulent voting have already been debunked by not only non-partisan groups, but Republican strategists and even elected officials who have instituted measures seeking to restrict access to the polls. Jones also did not provide a source for his estimate on the number of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. Current estimates place that total at around 11 million people, a number which has been the baseline figure used during lawmakers’ current negotiations on the immigration reform bill proposed by a group of eight Republican and Democratic senators. For his part, Pratt accused President Barack Obama of being a “full-bore Marxist” who has centralized government power in the wake of his re-election in November 2012. “In his view, evidently, the fact that he barely got 50-plus percent of the vote means he can do anything he wants,” said Pratt of Obama, who defeated Republican Mitt Romney with 51.1 percent of the popular vote and 332 electoral college votes. “That he’s not the president in a constitutional republic where the president can do certain things and most things the president cannot do.” Alex Jones please have several seats.

Neighbors claim the monsters are scaring neighborhood kids and ruining the hillside aesthetic of the area below Lake Hollywood. “There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they’re literally frightened. It’s like devils on the wall — big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we’re used to,” said Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Assn. Responding to complaints about the monster art, L.A. city code officials cited Brown for unpermitted and excessive signage and ordered him to remove the art within 30 days. He also faces fines that start at $376 but could rise significantly if he fails to comply. Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said the musician is not backing down. He says it’s the neighbors who are harassing Brown. “I’m scared of neighborhood busybodies like this,” Geragos said. “They’ve called animal control. They have sicced parking [enforcement] on him, and now they reached the heights of ridiculousness here. Shame on them.” Geragos said the city can expect a legal fight over Brown’s personal artwork, which unwittingly thrust him into one of L.A.’s longest-running civic debates. Although the city has a reputation for being the street mural capital of the world, much of that artwork has been done illicitly. City ordinances make it illegal to create murals on the vast majority of private properties. “They are trying to suspend the 1st Amendment,” Geragos said. Caroline and her friend Aline are aspiring models, eager for a life of glamour. But Aline is one of the only 10 people out of 200 at a modelling convention who would call themselves black. “There are more openings for white models”, one model explains. “Brazil is hiding what it thinks is not beautiful enough.” District Attorney Deborah Affonso says the problem is economics. Brands don’t want people representing them who are “seen as having no spending power”. Apparently a good man can make a gay woman straight. Or actually, if you believe Chirlane McCray, who has been married for nearly 20 years to NYC mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio after declaring “I Am A Lesbian” in a groundbreaking ESSENCE magazine essay in 1979, sometimes love is not as much about sexual preference as it is the person you fall for. She explains her interesting journey in a new interview with ESSENCE : ESSENCE: Why did you write that first essay? CHIRLANE McCRAY: Because in 1979, I thought it important to dispel the myth that there are no gay Black people, that Black people just didn’t do that sort of thing. That article was my way of telling Black women across the country, “You are not alone.” ESSENCE: How did you first meet Bill? McCRAY: In 1991 I was working in the press office at the [NYC] Commission on Human Rights and was sent over to City Hall. I was wearing West African–inspired clothing and a nose ring, and Bill says he had the love-at-first-sight experience. I did note what a good-looking guy he was and that he was funny and smart and made other people laugh. ESSENCE: Were you worried about him being a man—and White? McCRAY: All I could think about was, He’s six years younger than me! ESSENCE: So how did you go from being a lesbian to falling in love with a man? McCRAY: By putting aside the assumptions I had about the form and package my love would come in. By letting myself be as free as I felt when I went natural. ESSENCE: Still, was it strange being with a man, after so long? McCRAY: I came out at 17. I hadn’t really dated any men. I thought, Whoa, what is this? But I also didn’t think, Oh, now I’m attracted to men. I was attracted to Bill. He felt like the perfect person for me. For two people who look so different, we have a lot in common. We are a very conventional, unconventional couple. ESSENCE: How did you tell Bill about your past? McCRAY: Other people told him in the beginning. Then at some point I gave him the article and said, “Look, this is who I am and you should read this.” It shook him up. But he didn’t show it. He was cool about it. ESSENCE: Do you consider yourself bisexual? McCRAY: I am more than just a label. Why are people so driven to labeling where we fall on the sexual spectrum? Labels put people in boxes, and those boxes are shaped like coffins. Finding the right person can be so hard that often, when a person finally finds someone she or he is comfortable with, she or he just makes it work. As my friend Vanessa says, “It’s not whom you love; it’s that you love.” ESSENCE: Are you still attracted to women? McCRAY: I’m married, I’m monogamous, but I’m not dead and [laughs] Bill isn’t either. I know my husband loves me fiercely and passionately. I know he supports me and will always stand up for me. ESSENCE: How did you feel when your ESSENCE article from 1979 was leaked online and then the New York Post printed a cartoon of you and your husband in bed? McCRAY: I thought the article would have [come out] sooner or later. I was rather dismissive of the whole thing. But then that cartoon! What the New York Post did was just really nasty. It was racist, ignorant and crude. To call this woman anything other than tremendously courageous would be erroneous. She’s a smart good person and she doesn’t deserve to be attacked by the press for her choices. Life has got to be hard for a black gay woman but it can’t be easy being a black woman married to a white politician. She deserves kudos for sharing her story, don’t you think? Chris Christie Reveals He Had Weight Loss Surgery This goes out to the haters who said ole Chrissy could never be president because he was too fat! According to NY Post: New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie secretly underwent lap-band stomach surgery to aggressively slim down for the sake of his wife and kids, he revealed to The Post last night. The Garden State governor agreed to the operation at the urging of family and friends after turning 50 last September. He told The Post he was thinking of his four kids and how it was time to start improving his health when he decided to have the procedure. “I’ve struggled with this issue for 20 years,” he said. “For me, this is about turning 50 and looking at my children and wanting to be there for them.” He also insisted that, contrary to what observers may say, the effort to slim down was not motivated by thoughts of a presidential bid. “It’s so much more important than that,” he said. Christie checked in to a surgery center on Feb. 16. A source said he registered under a false name. The operation included placing a silicone tube around the top of his stomach, where it restricts the amount of food he can eat at one time and makes him feel fuller, faster. Christie has struggled with his weight for decades. He sometimes jokes about it, while other times, it’s a sensitive topic. Insiders said it was the only thing keeping the straight-talking executive from higher office. Despite Christie’s denials, political fund-raisers say that the surgery is a clear sign that he’s going to join the 2016 race — and will do whatever it takes to win. “This means he’s running for president. He’s showing people he can get his weight in control. It was the one thing holding him back,” a top political donor told The Post. Sources said Christie didn’t make the decision lightly — he even had private conversations about the operation with once-rotund Jet coach Rex Ryan. Ryan lost about 100 pounds — down from a massive 350 — after he had the same procedure done in 2010. Christie has never revealed his weight, but estimates have run from about 300 to 350 pounds. He hired the same ace laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon as Ryan — Dr. George Fielding, head of NYU Medical Center’s Weight Management Program. Christie employed cloak-and-dagger tactics to hide the operation. First, he never went into Fielding’s office for medical visits — instead, the doctor came to the governor’s house in Mendham, the sources said. As he drops pounds, doctors will pump more saline solution into the lap band, restricting his stomach further and forcing him to eat even less. In 2006, Christie said in an interview that getting a more involved surgery — gastric bypass — was never a consideration because it was “too risky.” The enlivened pol said that he knew the clock was ticking on his health and that the time had come to do something drastic. “I know it sounds crazy to say that running for president is minor, but in the grand scheme of things, it was looking at Mary Pat and the kids and going, ‘I have to do this for them, even if I don’t give a crap about myself,’ ” he said.
