Peep the video above to watch Bill Maher send a message to all the Money Mitt supporters… According to the Examiner: On Friday’s edition of HBO’s Real Time, Bill Maher had a threatening and racist message for supporters of Mitt Romney. “If you’re thinking about voting for Mitt Romney, I would like to make this one plea. Black people know who you are and they will come after you,” he said. “I’m kidding,” he said. “What I meant to say is ‘Mitt Romney cares.’” “Imagine for a moment the outrage if a conservative commentator said even jokingly to Obama supporters, ‘White people know who you are and they will come after you,’” Noel Sheppard wrote at Newsbusters. Sheppard observed that if any conservative made such a statement, his or her career would be instantly finished. Do you agree???
Romney And Ryan Use President Obama Campaign Slogan Three Days Before Then Election Can you smell that? It’s the ishtty smell of desperation….and the odor is coming straight from GOP headquarters where Money Mitt and his shady sidekick Paul Ryan are all out of stunts to pull. via MSNBC Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan echoed Mitt Romney’s call to vote for “love of country” not out of “revenge,” seizing upon a line of President Barack Obama’s. “Mitt Romney and I are asking you to vote out of love of country,” Ryan told a crowd at Marietta College. “That’s what we do in this country. We don’t believe in revenge. We believe in change and hope.” Ryan was referencing remarks President Obama made Friday, also in the battleground state of Ohio, that voting against the GOP nominee is “the best revenge.” The Obama re-election campaign, in an email statement, claimed the GOP ticket is “willing to say anything to win, but their rhetoric just doesn’t match reality.” Smh…
Republican Government Officials Admit To Scheming To Keep Americans From Voting As we get closer and closer to election day, things are starting to look a whole lot like the shady Florida voting scandal that put President Bush in office back in 2000. First up, the Ohio Secretary of State, who happens to be a GOP goon aka Repblican, has admitted to “misplacing” thousands of Ohio voter registration forms… via News One 33,000 updated voter registration records were felled by a glitch triggered by “change-of-address” records and were resent by Husted’s office to local election officials. Voter rights advocates contend that thousands of absentee-ballot requests may have been incorrectly rejected in Ohio due to the software snafu between the secretary of state offices and the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles. The Columbus Dispatch reports that county election boards did not have current addresses for a number of registrants. The glitch was immediately discovered, with the majority of the group able to be processed. The remaining 33,000 records are said to be undergoing process, and the state’s election board promises that there will be enough time to power through the erroneous data. And as if that’s not bad enough… Floridians across the state are asking Gov. Rick Scott (pictured) to extend early voting hours. But despite long lines at early voting sites and missing absentee ballots, the Republican governor is unlikely to heed their calls. Scott, who already passed a law last year limiting early voting days to 8 from 14, has the support of his fellow politicians. Republican officials, such as Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez, have said they don’t plan on asking Scott for more voting time. This is expected to result in longer lines next Tuesday. So far, over 3 million Floridians had voted by mail Wednesday evening. Democratic voters lead in early voting. SMH. Incase you hadn’t already noticed, ish is real out here in these election 2012 streets. We hope you are paying attention to what’s going on Bossipers and we hope things like this help emphasize how it important it is to get out there and vote. Don’t let these GOP goons scare you away from the polls with their antics! Our voices will be heard.
And you know Mittens’ camp is trying to act like this isht ain’t no thang. We can only assume that Bloomberg made up his mind today after the disgusting comments some Republicans have been making about Governor Christie hugging the Black President. That plus their claims that Sandy is ‘convenient’ for the Obama campaign probably pushed Bloomie over the edge! SMH. According to The New York Times , Bloomberg wasn’t planning to endorse either candidate: In a surprise announcement, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Thursday that Hurricane Sandy had reshaped his thinking about the presidential campaign and that as a result, he was endorsing President Obama. Mr. Bloomberg, a political independent in his third term leading New York City, has been sharply critical of Mr. Obama, a Democrat, and Mitt Romney, the president’s Republican rival, saying that both men had failed to candidly confront the problems afflicting the nation. But he said he had decided over the past several days that Mr. Obama was the better candidate to tackle the global climate change that he believes might have contributed to the violent storm, which took the lives of at least 38 New Yorkers and caused billions of dollars in damage. “The devastation that Hurricane Sandy brought to New York City and much of the Northeast — in lost lives, lost homes and lost business — brought the stakes of next Tuesday’s presidential election into sharp relief,” Mr. Bloomberg wrote in an editorial for Bloomberg View. “Our climate is changing,” he wrote. “And while the increase in extreme weather we have experienced in New York City and around the world may or may not be the result of it, the risk that it may be — given the devastation it is wreaking — should be enough to compel all elected leaders to take immediate action.” Mr. Bloomberg’s endorsement is another indication that Hurricane Sandy has influenced the presidential campaign. The storm and the destruction it left in its wake have dominated news coverage, transfixing the nation and prompting the candidates to halt their campaigning briefly. Both the Obama and Romney campaigns had aggressively sought the mayor’s endorsement, in large part because they believed he could influence independent voters around the country. Mr. Bloomberg had recently signaled he would not make an endorsement, telling reporters several weeks ago that he had decided whom he would vote for, but that he was not sure he would share that decision with the public. Mr. Bloomberg did not endorse a presidential candidate in 2008, when Mr. Obama ran against Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona, and until Thursday, he had steadfastly withheld his support from both presidential candidates this year, largely because he had grown frustrated with the tone and substance of the presidential campaign. He recently derided as “gibberish” the answers that Mr. Obama and Mr. Romney gave during a debate to a question about an assault-weapons ban. He has expressed disappointment with Mr. Obama’s performance over the past few years and concern about what he has described as the shifts in Mr. Romney’s views over time.In making his endorsement, Mr. Bloomberg listed the various steps that Mr. Obama had taken over the last four years to confront the issue of climate change, including pushing regulations that seek to curtail emissions from cars and power plants. But the mayor cited other reasons for endorsing Mr. Obama, including the president’s support for abortion rights and for same-sex marriage, two high-priority issues for the mayor. At the same time, Mr. Bloomberg said he might have endorsed Mr. Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, except for the fact that the Republican had abandoned positions that he once publicly held. “In the past he has taken sensible positions on immigration, illegal guns, abortion rights and health care — but he has reversed course on all of them, and is even running against the very health care model he signed into law in Massachusetts,” the mayor said of Mr. Romney. In a statement, Mr. Obama said he was “honored to have Mayor Bloomberg’s endorsement.” The president acknowledged Mr. Bloomberg’s chief concern, saying climate change was “a threat to our children’s future, and we owe it to them to do something about it.” Coming on the heels of Gov. Chris Christie’s public embrace of Mr. Obama, the endorsement by Mr. Bloomberg left aides to Mr. Romney a bit flustered, and they privately dismissed its importance. With only five days left, we’re sure a whole lot of shady isht is going to come out swingin’. Images via WENN
This isht has gone too far! In a new pro-GOP ad voiced by former Governor Mike Huckabee , Christians are admonished against voting for Obama on election day! Via HuffPo : Mike Huckabee has a dire warning for Christians: When you vote on Nov. 6, hell’s fire awaits, and a vote for President Barack Obama will not stand up to the flames. In a new ad, the former Arkansas governor and ordained Southern Baptist minister warns Christians that their votes “will affect the future and be recorded in eternity” and they must cast a ballot that will “stand the test of fire.” The video, entitled “Test of Fire,” features symbolic fiery imagery and is narrated by Huckabee: Christians across the nation will have an opportunity to shape the future for our generation and generations to come. Many issues are at stake, but some issues are not negotiable: The right to life from conception to natural death. Marriage should be reinforced, not redefined. It is an egregious violation of our cherished principle of religious liberty for the government to force the church to buy the kind of insurance that leads to the taking of innocent human life. Your vote will affect the future and be recorded in eternity. Will you vote the values that will stand the test of fire? This is Mike Huckabee asking you to join me November the 6th and vote based on values that will stand the test of fire. The “Test of Fire” ad is connected to Value Voters USA, an organization of Christian and nondenominational citizens who believe it’s important to vote based on life, family and faith this November, according to Politico. Huckabee does not mention Mitt Romney by name in the ad, but he has publicly endorsed the Republican candidate. His conservative views on marriage, abortion and contraception mandates did not sit well with some. “Mike Huckabee has a new ad out chastising Christians to set aside their concerns about jobs, the economy and taxes to focus on what really matters: the government’s power to interfere with the private lives of strangers,” quips Slate’s Amanda Marcotte. “In other words, anybody who doesn’t vote against the healthcare of women and family security of same-sex couples is going to Hell,” writes Think Progress reporter Zack Ford, while the Daily Kos boils it down to Huckabee’s war on sex. Huckabee has been an avid opponent of same-sex marriage and joined ranks with Chick-fil-A after the company’s chief executive Dan Cathy publicly supported the “biblical definition” of a family unit. In 2008, Huckabee pushed to “amend the Constitution so it’s in God’s standards rather than try to change God’s standards so it lines up with some contemporary view.” SMH this is that bullisht though. Do you think people will be swayed by it???
Is the POTUS right? President Obama Says Black America Wants Michelle As First Lady Asked if African-Americans should be as excited about voting for him as in 2008, President Obama said, “I know Black America wants to keep Michelle as first lady,” in an interview with American Urban Radio. According to The Grio : The interview, part of a pre-election media blitz, was one of the few the president did with a representative from a black news outlet. He broke little ground, but tailored some of his remarks to an African-American audience. Talking about his education agenda, Obama said, “If we don’t have black and Hispanic kids who can compete, that’s the fast-growing population, that’s our future workforce.” He strongly objected to any notion his support among women is dipping, telling Ryan “April, I don’t know what you’re looking at, we are doing very strong among women, across demographic groups.” Asked about the high jobless rate among blacks and Latinos he said, “we know these problems didn’t happen overnight, they’ve been building up for decades in some cases.” He added, “I”m going to spend all my waking hours” making sure more Americans can find work if elected to a second term. Black women are not stupid. Sane white American women want to keep him as President too. Is the President right? Does Black America want to keep Michelle as the First Lady? Getty
She called her critics the ‘world police’. LLS Attention slore Ann Coulter just stuck her foot in her mouth again after she refused to apologize for calling POTUS a ‘retard’ . She gave an excuse that just insulted folks with disabilities even more. According to The Daily Mail: Conservative political commentator Ann Coulter has defended calling President Obama a ‘retard,’ brusquely dismissing her critics after her tweet set off a firestorm among advocates of people with mental disabilities. During her appearance on Alan Colmes’ Fox News Radio show on Thursday, Coulter shrugged off the outcry over her choice of words, saying she doesn’t regret using the offensive term in reference to the president and blaming ‘liberal bullies’ for the backlash that followed. The controversy started after the right-wing pundit and author fired off a tweet following Monday night’s debate between President Obama and his Republican opponent which read: ‘I highly approve of [Mitt] Romney’s decision to be kind and gentle to the retard.’ In response, John Franklin Stevens, a 30-year-old Special Olympic athlete with Down syndrome, wrote an open letter about Coulter’s tweet, and other critics, among them liberals and even some conservatives, followed suit, demanding that she apologize. But when pressed on the issue by Colmes Thursday, the firebrand pundit doubled down on her choice of words, claiming that she did not use ‘retard’ as a derogatory term for people with special needs. ‘It would be one thing if I said in my tweet a joke about Special Olympics, a joke about Down Syndrome Look,’ she said. ‘No one would refer to a Down Syndrome child, someone with an actual mental handicap, by saying “retard.” Where do you think the words “imbecile,” “idiot,” “moron,” “cretin” come from? ‘These were all technical terms at one time. “Retard” had been used colloquially to just mean “loser” for 30 years. But no, no — these aggressive victims have to come out and tell you what words to use,’ Coulter said, according to the Washington Times. This chick just doesn’t give a fugg. Images via WENN
In order to get benefits, women in Pennsylvania will have to prove that they reported their assaulter they accused of rape . According to The Huffington Post : …the measure, proposed by five Republican state lawmakers, seeks to eliminate an increase in benefits if a child is conceived while a woman is covered under the Temporary Assistance To Needy Family program. A woman can seek an exception to this if the child is conceived as a result of rape. However, she must prove that she reported the incident to the authorities and gave the police her assaulter’s identity. The bill reads: Elimination of benefits under subsection (d) shall not apply to any child conceived as a result of rape or incest if the department: (1) receives a non-notarized, signed statement from the pregnant woman stating that she was a victim of rape or incest, as the case may be, and that she reported the crime, including the identity of the offender, if known, to a law enforcement agency having the requisite jurisdiction or, in the case of incest where a pregnant minor is the victim, to the county child protective service agency and stating the name of the law enforcement agency or child protective service agency to which the report was made and the date such report was made. According to the Rape, Abuse, & Incest National Network, 54 percent of rapes and assaults are not reported to the police. Last month, New Mexico’s Children, Youth and Families Department considered a similar measure that would have only exempted victims of “forcible rape” from having to file child support claims against an absent parent. Gov. Susana Martinez (R) quickly pulled the “forcible” language after the proposal sparked backlash. Once again, Republicans are showing their true colors when it comes to womens rights and government assistance. Images via facebook
