Yikes : “Meenakshi Thapar, 26, who had appeared in the Indian horror film 404 last year, met two aspiring actors who allegedly later killed her on the set of her latest film, Heroine . According to police, her ‘fellow actors’ warned her mother they would force her daughter to take part in pornography films if their demands were not met. Her mother paid 60,000 Rupees [$1,152] into her daughter’s account for her kidnappers to withdraw, but she was allegedly killed soon after. She was strangled to death, beheaded, and her body was dumped at two different sites as her killers made their way back to Mumbai. Her torso was dumped in a water tank and her head thrown out of the bus window in a bag on the road to Mumbai.” [ Telegraph via THR ]
Jism 2 , that is. Sunny Leone ‘s starring role in the Bollywood horror flick was rumored to be in jeopardy after her porn-star past was revealed in the Indian press, but now the film’s director, Pooja Bhatt, says that it’s going to be Sunny in Mumbai after all: ” It can now be yelled from the rooftop that Jism 2 is Sunny Leone and Sunny Leone is Jism 2. I took a long time to finalize the lead because somewhere something didn’t feel right. And then I found her in my backyard while watching TV*, ” he told reporters yesterday. We thought that porn experience would help you get cast in a movie called Jism 2 , but hey, what do we know? Production on Jism 2 begins this March in India, and with a name like Jism 2, you bet we’ll be following the story here on the Mr. Skin blog. You’ll get a rise, son, when you check out the breast of Sunny Leone right here at MrSkin.com! *Bhatt is referring to Sunny’s stint on Bigg Boss , the Indian version of Big Brother
Indo-Canadian actress Sunny Leone is breast known as a Penthouse Pet of the Year and as a Vivid contract girl, so we weren’t surprised to read that she’d been cast in Jism 2 . The shocking part? Jism 2 is not a porn. It’s a Bollywood horror flick, and Leone was cast by producer Mahesh Bratt , who says he was unaware of Sunny’s pornographic past ( suuuuuuure he was) when he recruited her for the role. However, since then Sunny’s risque resume has shocked the socially conservative Indian public, and other names, such as non-nude Bollywood starlet Mallika Sherawat , have been rumored as replacements. The producers of Jism 2 have wisely capitalized on the controversy as a marketing opportunity, and this week released an ambiguous, erotic promo poster (above) that cleverly disguises the actress’s face. Seemingly unaware of the double entendre, tabloids across the subcontinent printed the picture with the screaming headline “Whose Jism Is That?!” And that, Skin fans, is the rest of the story. Turn up the heat with spicy pics of Sunny Leone after the jump!

The Femme Fatale singer takes to Twitter to encourage fans to ‘check out this incredible … remix.’ By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Max Morse/Getty Images Last week, Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” got the Bollywood treatment when Indian composers Salim-Sulaiman remixed her feel-good disco track. Now, Britney Spears is feeling the Indian love from entertainment website Desi Hits! and the Culture Shock production team, who put their Bollywood-style spin on “Till the World Ends.” “Check out this incredible Desihits remix of Till The World Ends. I LOVE it!!!” Britney tweeted on Monday about the track. The swirling take on Spears’ hit tune boasts a “Punjabi breakdown” section that features some South Asian-sounding vocals from Culture Shock’s Lomaticc and Sunny Brown. The track includes some added Desi flavors courtesy of dholki, dhol and tumbi beats, which are common in Indian music. “Our goal was to take Britney’s smash hit single and give fans a total Desi adrenaline rush,” Culture Shock’s Baba Kahn explained. “The result is a Culture Shock musical Desi roller coaster that hopefully everyone around the world will want to join.” It seems that Spears’ camp was crucial in orchestrating the remix. “We wanted to build an even greater connection between the world’s biggest pop star and one of the world’s largest audiences,” Mark Flaherty, senior vice president of Jive Label Group, says of the reimagined tune. “Britney has been engaged with South Asian culture for many years. From the groundbreaking Bollywood-inspired remix of ‘Me Against the Music’ to her recent collaboration with Indian fashion designers Falguni and Shane Peacock on the ‘Hold It Against Me’ video, she has embraced the incredible sights and sounds of this vibrant community throughout her career.” The original version of “Till the World Ends,” the second single from Britney’s Femme Fatale album, was produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Billboard. At last look, the tune held the #8 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Are you loving the Bollywood-style “Till the World Ends” remix? Tell us in the comments. Composers Salim-Sulaiman says Gaga had a ‘very positive response’ to their version. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Shortly after dropping a country-fried version of “Born This Way,” Indian composers Salim-Sulaiman were approached to do a Bollywood version of the song , breathing new life into the chart-topping track and putting their own Desi seal on it. “It was kind of difficult to start with,” Sulaiman Merchant told MTV News, crediting entertainment website Desi Hits! for helping to curate the collaboration. “It’s been such a big track, it’s been very popular, and when you consider the style, it’s very aggressive. It’s got all the stuff that’s required to make it a nice clubby track, so for us, the most important thing was: How do you get it into a zone where it’s palpable to the Indian flavor? And the first thing we did was bring in a sitar, and that changed the flavor a little bit. We kept the aggression but changed the style and made it a little more four on the floor, a little more house.” Salim Merchant added that “we wanted to bring in an Indian sound … and give a Sufi touch as well.” He explained that after getting over some initial nerves, “It’s fantastic how it all turned out. There was this little pressure because the song was #1. I guess once we put that baggage behind … it was magical. Once we started it, everything came into place. It became a celebration.” While Gaga is a global superstar, Sulaiman said she has yet to really permeate India’s pop culture. “Lady Gaga hasn’t been as popular as we would like it to be over here, so this track wasn’t as big before,” he said. “We finished the mix, and now it’s getting into the zone where it’s gaining popularity. It’s a great way to get eyeballs and ears onto Lady Gaga.” Has Gaga given the guys any indication of how she feels about the track? “She has liked it,” Salim said. “She did mention she really loves it. When we did send her the final version, we did get a big very, very positive response. She really loved it. That’s what she mentioned. I’m really happy. Finally the artist is Gaga about the song.” What do you think of the Bollywood version of “Born This Way”? Let us know in the comments!
