Adam Lambert has a lot more than a new acting gig . The former American Idol contestant rumored future American Idol judge also has a new hair color. He debuted it on Twitter yesterday: The popular singer, who recently returned from with boyfriend Sauli Koskinen , also teased an upcoming series of concerts in support of his latest album. He wrote on the same social networking site: “Have no fear, a Trespassing Tour WILL come. When the time is right. Trust me Glamberts! I won’t let you down. :)” We never thought you would, Adam. As for that hair, though? Well… what do you make of it, readers?
Bret Easton Ellis will not be adapting Fifty Shades of Grey for the big screen, despite the considerable, earlier talk of the screenwriter’s involvement. Ellis made it no secret at all that he wanted to write the Fifty Shades of Grey movie , even speculating on who should portray Ana and Christian . Ian Somerhalder was even lobbying him for the part of the latter, but now it looks like Ellis will be watching from the sidelines with the rest of us. “It’s a very major disappointment to announce that I’ve somehow been taken off the list of possible screenwriters for Fifty Shades of Grey ,” Ellis tweeted. “Thanks to the fans for the months of intense support. Your awesome enthusiasm and great suggestions were instructive and meaningful to me.” It’s unclear why Ellis is out of the running or how he knows this, but it’s rumored that Universal and Focus have their eyes on four different writers: Karen Croner (One True Thing) Dan Fogelman (Cars, Tangled) Veena Sud (TV’s The Killing) Kelly Marcel (TV’s Terra Nova) Again, no idea why those four are the reported finalists , but that’s the inside information at the moment as the Fifty Shades rumor mill turns. In other news, EL James compiled Fifty Shades of Grey: The Classical Album , and Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis recently read from the book.
Slim Thug Book “How To Survive In A Recession” Includes A Chapter Supporting Abortion We’re not saying rappers aren’t allowed to take a crack at social commentary, but let’s face it — this isn’t Slim Thug’s strong suit. Slim stopped by 97.9 in his hometown of Houston to discuss his latest project — a book called “How To Survive In A Recession.” The book — which consults a grand total of 0 financial experts, draws on Slim’s personal experience as a person who is “cheap.” And along with all his thoughts on how to save up, he also has a full chapter devoted to the topic of “Abortion.” When H-town radio host JJ asked him what that chapter had to do with everything else in the book he said “I think abortions is necessary on some occasions.” Here’s the quote that has been floating around from the book: People are against abortion, but I think it ain’t good to have a baby and not be with the father. My mother, she took care of me but she worked 7 days a week, 12 hours a day and I seen how much of a struggle it was. It was so hard coming up, I don’t even know who my daddy is….So, I don’t like that. A kid deserves both parents in the home, so if you ain’t gon be with somebody i don’t think you need to have a kid with them….even though I got 3 baby mommas.. (laughs)….it ain’t easy and it ain’t right …but we good. The book also includes quotes from Slim Thug saying: “I ain’t saying wait 3 or 4 months. If it’s immediate, it’s like birth control to me.” While we agree that it’s preferable to raise a child with both of his and her parents, do you think Slim’s comments could be taken to mean that women who don’t have a partner should not be parents and should look to abortion as a means to handle any and all unwanted pregnancies? Do you have a problem with what Slim Thug is saying or do you agree with him? And how should his kids feel about his opinion since he’s not with their mothers? Does Slim Thug just need to have a seat and stop talking about social issues? Y’all remember what he had to say about black women a few years ago, right? SMH. Source Instagram

My name is Megan and these are my Bieber experiences. For the past 6 years I have done everything I possibly can to meet Justin. I spent the first 5 years going to his concerts, waited for him after shows, went everywhere I could just to see him. My first luck started when I won tickets to see him live at the VMAs 2 years ago. That day was incredible. I thought my luck ended there but it didn’t . Later that year, my sister and I scored tickets to the Ellen show the day he was there , we were SO close to him. We even got to go to the premiere after and see the movie. But still did not get to meet Justin. Weeks prior, we had bought tickets to see Never Say Never the movie at City Walk because we had heard Justin might show up and surprise fans. The next day we went to our movie, and he did. He came to thank us all but we still did not get to MEET him. All of these lucky moments with him made me more and more eager to meet him. I wanted just a picture or to say hi. I kept getting so close. One full year went by and it was not till May 16th 2012 my dream came true . Just that month Justin had moved into the neighborhood near me. I knew he would be living there but I did not ever expect to see him with how busy he is. While at dinner with my family, my sister and I noticed Justin’s van in the parking lot. We thought maybe he would be in Maggianos since him and Selena had gone there for dinner one time. We waited for 20 minutes outside because we did not want to disturb him if he was on a date. We finally saw him and his friend and bodyguard go walking into the book store right next door. We waited a little and then went up to him to ask for a picture. No one was really around to notice him because it was dark so we were so thankful we got the chance. It was late and im sure he wanted to go home, but he was really nice, took a picture with us and told us it was great meeting us . The next week I was at the commons studying for a final with my friends. That was the same day Justin had the altercation with the paparazzi. My friends and I were all there for the incident. We did not get to talk to Justin but we see him. However, we did talk to Selena during the incident. Although emotions were high and her and Justin were obviously upset about what had happened, she was so sweet and kept thanking us for helping . It really made me respect both her and the relationship they had . The picture ended up being taken by the paparazzi. And my last and final moment was July 30th, just 4 days after my birthday. I was waiting to meet my friend for lunch when i heard this girl say “I think it’s that Bieber kid”. I turned the corner to see him and Jazzy holding hands. I was on the phone but in shock. I smiled and said “Hi Justin.” I didnt want to bother him while he was with his family. He smiled and said hi and walked by. When he found out the sushi place was closed, he turned and walked past me again. At this point people started to notice him and one family took a picture with him. I was still standing there, in shock, and alone . He started to walk away when he noticed me and said, “ Oh did you want a picture too”. I panicked. He actually noticed me . I felt horrible because it was his day to relax but I said, “If it’s too much to ask then yes” . He said it was not a problem and he took my phone and flipped the camera towards us. He spent a good minute finding the right angle so the picture wasnt over and under exposed and you could see us just right. That actually meant a lot because he wanted to make sure our picture turned out just right . I never in the world, thought I would ever get to meet him. It took 6 years of being a fan, 5 years of waiting, and 1 year of luck. If you have not met him dont worry, I promise you will have your chance one day. Never say never. Thanks for reading my story. Nikkole Paulun, a 16 and Pregnant star who was introduced on Season 2 of this MTV series, has leveled some rather serious accusations at her dad. Why do we never see this parent on the small screen? Said Paulun this week via Twitter: “You NEVER got to see my dad on camera because he’s an abusive asshole. One night after Lyle was born her BEAT me up & I literally had to jump out my window & hitch a ride to my bestfriends house to get away.” Nikkole goes on to write that her father has referred to her by every derogatory name in the book, that he has threatened to kill her and that her mom “thinks I should get along with him.” However: “I don’t think I EVER will.” Well, no, we should hope not. Not if these assertions are valid. For the sake of Nikkole’s child if not herself, she ought to get the heck out of there.
Maine Man Brings Gun To Dark Knight Rises We knew these copycats would continue smh. BIDDEFORD, Maine — Maine State Police seized an arsenal of weapons from a Biddeford man who told police he brought a loaded gun to a showing of “Batman: The Dark Knight Rises” in Saco on Saturday night, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland. Timothy Courtois, 49, was arrested in York about 10 a.m. Sunday after state police Trooper Phillip Alexander clocked Courtois’ Ford Mustang traveling at 112 mph on the Maine Turnpike. Other motorists had called police to report the vehicle was speeding southbound on the turnpike with its hazard lights flashing. Inside the car, police found an AK-47 assault rifle, four handguns and several boxes of ammunition, McCausland said Monday afternoon. Also in Courtois’ car, police found newspaper clippings about the mass shooting Friday during a showing of the same Batman movie at a Colorado movie theater, according to McCausland. Courtois told police he had attended the Batman movie at the Cinemagic Theater in Saco on Saturday night with a loaded gun in his backpack and that he was on his way Sunday to Derry, N.H., where he planned to shoot a former employer, McCausland said. They’re going to throw the book at this clown. We just hope this is the last of the idiots that try to double up on the tragedy of the weekend. Source
The Real Housewives of New Jersey try to “Sit Down and Man Up” before the big trip to Napa. Will any of it help them avoid complete and utter disaster? Let’s recap all of the planning meetings of a vacation destined for failure in our THG +/- review. Teresa’s brand just continues to grow. She’s got the books. Now she’s planning on a line of Teresa aprons, her own specialty Bellini and maybe even T’s pasta. Where will it end? This all may be Teresa’s dream but Joe can’t keep his nose out of the middle of it. Minus 10 when he can’t let Teresa get a word in edgewise during her meeting at the winery.
Trishna star Freida Pinto with IFC Films’ Jonathan Sehring. Photo by Nick Hunt/Patrick McMullan Co. After a long festival run beginning at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall and stops ranging from tests in Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, London, Rome, Hong Kong and Provincetown here in the U.S. Michael Winterbottom’s India-set Trishna will open theatrically beginning this Friday. The Cinema Society hosted an event in New York kicking off its run with a screening and party Tuesday night. So a little bit about the event, which was also co-hosted by Circa and fashion maven Rachel Roy. The IFC Films release is based on the tragic romance novel Tess of the d’Urbevilles . Freida Pinto ( Slumdog Millionaire ) makes a splash in the film, playing eldest daughter, Trishna, in a poor family from Rajasthan, India. She meets Jay (played by Riz Ahmed – Four Lions ), the son of a wealthy property developer who takes up managing the resort at his father’s request. He swoons after meeting Trishna and hires her to work at the resort, slowly winning her affections. Eventually he wins her over, but things go awry and let’s just leave it at that… Pinto introduced the film Tuesday at IFC Center in downtown Manhattan, seemingly embarrassed after IFC Entertainment president Jonathan Sehring told a quick story about his sons who called her ‘the most beautiful woman in the world’ when he told them she’d be at the screening. “I realized how embarrassing it is to listen to someone talk about you,” Pinto said laughing as he came on stage. “Everyone knows how hard it is to get an indie film going. I learned from my first director [Danny Boyle] not to say too much about a film so not to raise expectations…” Following the screening, the party carried on at roof-top nightspot Jimmy at the James Hotel, greeted by D’Usse Cognac. Guests included: Meg Ryan, Dana Delany, Zosia Mamet ( Girls ), Alex Karpovsky ( Girls ), Calvin Klein, Billy Connolly, Russell Simmons, Rachel Roy, Jess Weixler, Tom McCarthy, Carlos Leon, Drena DeNiro, Irina Pantaeva, Sante D’Orazio, Fern Mallis, Daniel Benedict, Genevieve Jones, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Bettina Zilkha, CIRCA co-founder, Chairman & CEO Chris Del Gatto, and Cinema Society founder Andrew Saffir.
The epically awkward, debauched Danish sitcom Klovn , wich is soon coming to the United States as the epically awkward, debauched Danish feature-length comedy Klown , currently has restored an episode online written by the epically awkward , debauched Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier. What could go wrong? So much , actually. Have a look and find out. Revived from the series’ second season by the movie’s US distributor Drafthouse Films, the episode (titled “It’s a Jungle Down There”) finds the notorious Frank and Casper “taking interest in a masturbation class and their persistent infiltration of these very private sessions.” It seems safe enough for work, I guess, unless everyone at your work speaks Danish, in which case rally them ’round and kick off early! What the hell, we’re technically passed the midweek point by now. It might as well be Friday. Klown debuts July 27 in limited theatrical release as well as on VOD and digitally.
